I was mostly interested in the merchant to repair gear but guess what the merchant does not repair gear and cost twice as much as anyone would of expected.

Not getting them, even if they lower the price significantly.

Just adding my pennies worth again while i'm awaiting for files to upload.... interesting lack of response from the company on this thread. Checking the forum now all of the top 5 latest threads have some interaction, yet this one, which is by far the most viewed, does not. Read into that what you will :)

I won't buy, but I assume some will.

Which is why I think price is good. If it would be 2000 crowns, I and many others might buy. Zeni doesn't want to make towns empty. It is rare conviniance for those who have too many crowns.

There both not worth it at all, I would have considered the banker if it allowed access to Guild Bank and Guild stores but it doesn't. So see these as poorly thought out and just a money sink

IDK guys I used Tythis on the PTS and the time saver for me makes it worth the crowns. We figured he would be spendy so a bunch of us in my guild bought crowns when they were half price. Call it luck or good planning but that makes him 2500 for us.

This is a convenience item that is more time value of money than anything. I also like that I can pull him out in a raid if someone forgot to grab something.

I see more people post about this topic (that I know personally and raid with) that would never use the assistants anyway...lol.. and yes you know who you are my forum troll friends!

I'm sure after those of us that feel we can't live without them buy, they will have a sale for everyone else that has more patience

I think the price too high, but I planned on buying both at any price. What really makes me mad is they wait until after the sale on crowns to tell us the price?!?! I honestly thought my 9k crowns would be more than enough to cover them and I wouldn't have to purchase additional crowns. Now I have to buy another 1.5k crowns at full price. If I would have known they were going to be so expensive I would have picked up the extra crowns while they were on sale!! Very calculating ZO$. Brilliant.

Don't take this the wrong way, but if what you describe is accurate... you're a tool. You're precisely the type of audience they want. You buy crowns on sale, spend them, then top up again on crowns to buy the strategically launched new bunch of pixels.

That is why I thought 2.5k would have been very expensive but I was still considering it. I regularly raid with different characters, and it has happened a few times to forgot repair kits/soul gems/pots in my bank. I am pretty sure it happened to my fellow raiders as well, so I thought even if expensive - it could be an interesting investment to save time - and thus having more trys on a boss instead of loosing it by re-teleport to a bank - or ask different people to trade me things.

It is still convenience, because I should have turn my brain on ON and remember to get my consumables before porting in the raid, but sometimes, yeah, you just forget (especially when you have to switch char in the middle of a raid night).

But even THEN, 2.5k was still very expensive in my mind. Now it's just out of the question.

I'll just put a post-it on my monitor - or keep annoying my guildmates for trading me stuff 1 minute before the boss pull :D

I might be getting the banker bur not the other one. Banker can be very usefull on my crafter. But I don't need a merchant, If I have items that don't fit in my inventory I can place them in bank and then TP to a town an sell.

Edit: I won't be buying it for 5k though. Then I'd rather take the extra travel time.

I want the banker, and it'd save me a ton of time, but 5000 crowns is excessive.

With ESO+ for 3 months (and have a bit more saved), could just play the DLC "free" without the collector pet & mount, and use crowns for the assistant instead. But I like pets & mounts!

Regular price $40 for 5500 crowns is far too much for this. When there's crown sales, $25 or $30 for it… Eh. Maybe. That still buys a lot of burritos and beer IRL.

A price of 3000, 2 months of ESO+, would be more reasonable.

Too funny I have a post-it note on mine as well...lol...! Since we are running progression VMoL.... sometimes we have no idea what we are going to try next. For us convenience of being able to store the gear sets in the bank be able to pull out Tythis and everyone use him.

In which way can I take you calling me a tool that is right? I subscribe to ESO Plus 6 months at a time which comes with a chunk of crowns. What else am I supposed to do with them? I play the game every day. I expect I will have to pay for that at some point. This will be the first time I buy crowns since the game went buy to play. Not that it matters. I fail to see why buying crowns makes someone a tool.

I'm going to be a tool so if there's that many we could open our own tool shop , but what we and others chose to spend or money or crowns buying we shouldn't be named called for that , if you don't agree on the price that's one thing but the there's no need to comment on other peoples spending

You're paying 50 dollars for a puppet. We can wayshrine around for free or for a small amount of in game gold.

The puppets are borderline useless. They cost 50 dollars.

There's people complaining about spending 50 dollars on a junk GPU but are okay to spend 50 dollars on a puppet.

I mean I'm not complaining, they can price it at whatever they want because I still wouldn't buy it. If I need convenience items to enjoy a game, that game becomes 0s on my SSD.

Whoever buys these at this price is clinically insane.

Honestly, there is no justification. You're letting someone rip you off if you buy them.

I have eso plus and spent crown on mounts and so forth, but £32 per assistant is actually insanity.

5000 crowns is £22 (£21.82 to be exact) not £32.

5500 crown is usually £31.99 if bought through xbox store

Seems unfair to Xbox players. The current PC price is £23.99 for 5500 crowns.

I think you're missing the feedback.
both $40 and $20-$24 are perceived as too expensive.

Having used them on PTS as well, I might consider 500-1000 crowns max but anything more for a pet regardless of the options it excessive. Also consider that most crown items are perceived as overpriced by the forum community as seen over the year in many, many threads

As I've mentioned in the 'official discussion', I'll perhaps consider it when both crowns and assistants are 1/2 off. Otherwise, this is just far too expensive - especially when the function is so minimal. No guild access, no repair = no reason to purchase.

I was really keen on getting the banker, but that price is more than the cost of a DLC, what on earth were ZOS thinking when they came up with that price?

Maybe if it goes on sale at some point.

I would pay 2-3k for the banker as soon as it was available, but 5k is way too much (especially since I play on both NA and EU servers and would want it on both).

I wouldn't have bought the merchant anyway unless it was really cheap (say 500), I decon more stuff than I sell to vendors, and most other stuff I sell on guild stores so wouldn't really have much use for it, I'm unlikely to get loaded down with ectoplasm and carapaces to the point where I would need it to free up space.
