5000 Crowns for the upcoming assistants. Worth it ? ^^

Why the hell don't mmos make you work for your items to achieve something in the game rather than just slapping a price tag on things? sigh...

No need to get assistants at all in ESO.

Go to town and decon, refine, bank, launder etc yourself anyways.

You see? This is what is going to happen.

This right here is what is going to happen.

People are going to buy the merchant thinking she repairs gear. "Jolly good! I'm going to save a life-time worth of repair kits! How convenient!"

And then they try to make her repair their gear, and she doesn't have that option. Bug report: "Merchant assistant missing the repair option". Forum thread: "WTF ZOS FIX THE MERCHANT ASSISTANT".

This is going to happen the minute these assistants are introduced, I guarantee it.

5000 crowns for an NPC assistant is way too excessive a price. Even 2500 would be way too much.

This is completely irrelevant to this thread, but I just wanted say that you, Arthmoor, are one of my favorite modders of the TES series, going back Alternative Beginnings and Cyrodiil Travel Service for Oblivion.

Actually @Vorcil you can't. Finishing the TG quests gives you the smuggler assistant. The banker assistant and merchant assistant are Crown Store only.

There was a brief sale when the Thieves Guild DLC went live. It's since ended. No clue when the next sale will be, though.

I have an idea how it should be implemented: when you summon this creature new shining gold plated elite vip store appears with large banner I'M RICH STORE, and bodyguards should beat anyone who dare enter the store (except you of course).

I have 3000 crowns saved from the sale no way did i expect them to be 5000 though, really not worth it! I could get a full new game for that

We should have the possibility to buy crowns with in game gold.

Look at GW2 gold to gems conversion.

As a comparison, I bought Terraria for $2 on a Steam sale and got about 200 hours enjoyment out of it. $50 for an in-game item shows actual contempt for their customers. Focus on the 1% of obsessives who would buy a dog dropping if you slapped an ESO sticker on it, who cares about the rest. This is what I was afraid of with the move to B2P. Gordon Gekko's taking the helm and steering the good ship ESO to Cashshopville. Worst part is, there are suckers who will willingly encourage this kind of thing, which is bad for the game and a blight on the gaming industry in general.

You can also turn gems into gold. But it doesn't really effect the economy because so many people transfer gold to gems as gems to gold so it kinda evens out. What are you going to do with that small amount of gems that can't buy much of anything? Well... you can turn it into gold.

No one is going to buy gems to get gold to buy some of the legendary weapons... cause you'd need hundreds of real dollars to do that. Now that post might have been completely unnecessary but I thought the comparison of the two games' tiers to be interesting.

5000 crowns? That's insane!

Considering a new DLC is around 2,500, I'm not gonna pay twice as much for an assistant. I mean, you can just travel through Wayshrines and to a outlaw refugee to fence items or sell stuff to a merchant.

Not worth 5000 crowns in my opinion.

This one is not so good at the maths but she thinks you would need quite a few months worth of ESO plus to get enough crowns to buy these - assuming you bought nothing else for many months also.

This is how Santie balances things - is it more crowns than this one would get in a month from ESO plus? If the answer is yes then it is too much.

Trader and bankers that don't repair your gear for 5000 crowns. Uh, no thanks. They should sell you high end gear at a discount, repair your stuff and fight at your side while puking crowns for you to collect for that price.

Of course that won't happen. What we really need is more inventory and bank space for crying out loud and no I don't mean for 1000 crowns a pop. Proper earned space for all the stuff Z keep bringing out. Us non sub peasants may not get crafting bags so we should get moar space for our stuff darnit!

In the real world, it costs money to keep a game like this going. So they offer things for you to buy to pay for this and for them to be profitable.

If your broke: you really want it?, get a job to pay for it. You could also ask your parents for a loan.

If you can afford it: If I see something at a store that I want, and the price is to high. I leave it there. I don't go complain to the manager.
