While i do agree flappity bits are ugly the way you are asking for this modification is kind of...creepy in a way that makes you sound like some kind of obsessed man that makes dirty thing while looking at their character in the game, sexual stalker style.

Protip: saying "you guys" when talking about women creates a bit of a cognitive dissonance...
Of course, it may fit well enough when speaking to a G.I.R.L. (Guy in real Life), but it isn't likely to endear yourself to any of the gamer gals out there... ;)

Back to sexyness and combat covering though...

point of the matter is that female sensuality sells.
    eso wants money
    nuff said?

Females aren't just for your amusement, we're actual people and we also have wallets ESO might like to attract.

Any costumes ESO makes I hope are tasteful and not at all like TERA.

i live in a politically correct world, im from norway.
we were the third country in the world to give women right to vote, we have a female prime minister and more then half the party leaders are women.

i am not out to objectify women, demean them in any way, shape or form.
i am actually a huge woman fan, i love you guys! you are candy for my eyes and food for thought.
so what i am actually asking is not sexist, it is not mean or degrading in any way.

    what it actually is...is.....
the biggest deity damned compliment you could ever get.

It's great you like women and all...but be aware most women don't want to be eye candy only...and when we're made of pixels and just in an avatar form it's good to know we have the same standing as the male avatars next to us, and aren't being treated differently.

I have never put one thought into the standing of any of my characters, and I am a woman.I mean,it really is just a game,so why would it matter what someone else thinks of your avatar. The sexist/feminist bit escapes me. I just never get it when people talk about this sort of thing. Please dont think me rude,as I dont mean to seem so.I simply am to busy playing my game to think if someone else thinks one way or another of me,but for my gameplay.I like to make sure I can hold my own when grouped with someone so I dont take them down, but whether they look at my avatar as a sensual/sexual thing never occurs to me,nor do I care.

That's great, but I find if I play a game that's gone into pervert territory, I just don't play it as it's clearly not designed for my eyes, it's designed for something like the OP. And I don't want to be around those people - and I really don't think their mind is on the game.

..even the prettiest flaps are problematic ...since I can't dye the flaps properly, because there are stuff like bones sticking out of them, so they remain as white spots on my beautiful Coldharbour Black dyed armor >.<

I don't think you're getting it - the whole game would be ruined for me with a tacky art style pasted all over my character. And being made to play a girly girl all coquetteish and pleasing to the eye instead of just being another player. No thank you. I love Elder Scrolls art and that's part of the reason I'm here.

I like attractive things, but not tasteless things and I think we can see that's what the OP is requesting. At least those of us paying attention to what he's saying both overtly and covertly and not just throwing up a defense for him in an attempt to seem like "one of the boys" :3

Honestly alot of armor look awesome and very great but.... these damn buttflaps/crotchflaps are an annoyance to my eyes.

Still if you want sexy armor well............ Go play Skyrim and download the sexy armor replacers xD.

    Irrelevant point below:
Still from my experience of playing BDO I find that game has the right amount of maturity/sexyness and cover in their outfits(Sorcerers outfits looks the best out of all in all 3)
If I die tomorrow I do not want to think of the game I could of played today, therefor I will play whatever I want today while securing a future to play in as well.

I support this. Not because I game with one hand under the desk but because options are good to have. Within reason, of course. Platekinis are an abomination in my opinion but you can have armour that's both functional and aesthatically pleasing without breaking immersion. Think of character concepts such as a vain knight that wears nothing but the most flattering and finely crafted suit of plate armour to strut around in. A stubborn barbarian tying only a few pieces of ragged animal hide to their body, boasting that they withstand even the harshest of blows because both their body and will are iron. A thief who finds that subtefurge is so much more enjoyable when the target is neutralized not with poison but seduction, for which one only needs a bit of acting and their Sunday best.

Seeing the armour and disguise designs so far I'm confident that the artists working on the game can come up with more attires that are different than what we have currently but still tasteful. I personally wouldn't put anything more revealing or skintight on my Argonian than the current leather armours and disguises but I would be happy to see the option being there for others.

Oh and less flaps overall, please.

Being a woman,I am not one of the boys. And I am not so much in defense of the OP,rather I am in defense of anyone who wants their character to look a certain way.And as I said,if it bothers you that much,..just find a game that doesnt offend your senses. Dont try to change this game to fit what you want just because you dont like something you find tasteless.Others dont.Just let them enjoy their game too.
You arent forced into any coquettish/girly style. If you want to wear armor that isnt feminine,go ahead. No one is stopping you.Yet,you are wanting to stop someone else because their style offends your delicate senses.Just ignore them and carry on.
What the he-ll is wrong with people. If you dont like something, ignore it.
If you want hip flaps gone.fine.I could care less.I can understand it.cos I dont like them too much either. I just dont care for those who comment about exploitation of the female sex ingame.People want better and close to reality character creation, but they dont want anyone to enjoy those characters once they are made. Jeez.
To talk about sexist crap is just silly and prudish.

Not saying to make the game 1000% real but.... function > fashion. Like it's winter time what you think be better to wear non-slip boots or fancy shoes ? Yet some people wear those shoes and then complain how it is so cold and how their always slipping on ice.

And if your still persistence about it then it needs to be equal like so

    QruIi1U.png

I'd say it's not ultimately about function, but rather about objectification. If it was about function why is fashion not okay for armor, but acceptable weaponary. Most of the weapons in ESO are terrible from a functionality stand point. They'd be too heavy to be wielded properly, and the rounded rather than oval handles would obscure edge alignment in combat as just two examples.

Actually compared to some real life weapons most weapons in ESO their pretty spot on sch as say nordic weaponry. How they are designed Bethesda/ZOS designed it of Celtic, Scottish, Irish, and all those style while say the Dunmer style such as the swords and daggers look based of the Kris sword.

Like yes some of the gear seems over the top but it was all mostly based on some real life stuff. Plus despite media portraying some of stuff such as greatswords being these giant bulky heavy weapons of mass destruction greatswords are actually alot lighter and smaller than people think. Their normaly between 4ft/1,1/2m to 6ft/2m tall and at most weight between 7-10 pounds the largest greatsword ever used was I think 14ft/3,1/2m and weight I think nearly 20 pounds.

one of the good things about ESO is it allows real women gamers to b respected in the gear they have.

Now with that said many women in the world love to dress sexy, and thats really nice of course, but its nice that ESO has taken a more respectable approach for actual women that play the game.

And besides when u have a libido like mine u dont need any extra help.

My sister loves eso and she is a hardcore gamer she plays it in all her free time. She is and ACTUAL women and tells me all the time eso should provide the option for women to be sexy and powerful for those that want it as well as options for the women that prefer to cover up. I will add that eso is getting better with this on the new thieves guild female costumes.

im a guy but i make women chars because if i am to spend ungodly amounts of time in a game i want a female butt bouncing on my screen and not a male one.

so, i've done some testing and the best crafted costume is a medium armor bosmer outfit because it doesnt have anything obstructing the butt. its a nice view.
almost every other armor has buttflaps or armor plates or some other crap to obstruct my view.

now im using the v6 gift costume daedric something or other which is nice but i would pay real money to get better costumes.
    make it happen.

Get the Sea Viper disguise.Very tight and no flap thing covering it.But seriously it is ridiculous ZOS having to double cover butts with those flaps.

Mimicing real world designs doesn't translate to a functional weapon. Yes, Elder Scrolls in general takes inspiration from some historical weaponary. However they also change many aspects for the perhaps of looking aesthetically pleasing. And it is in these changes that the actual combat effectiveness of the weapons suffer greatly.

Most swords are a great deal lighter than the average person might believe. More than 5lbs is an extremely heavy, thus difficult to wield sword. The average was between 2.5-4lbs depending on the type of sword. Making blades thicker, handles longer, guards bulkier for artistic styling would not only increase weight, but also alter centers of balance. Weight and balance are crucial to the functionality of a sword.

What you're calling greatswords with the specs you've described would've likely been ceremonial rather than instruments of war, used in battle. Even a Zweihander rarely weighed more than 10lbs. For reference a Kris too is also mostly ceremonial. It's blade design does not allow for even cuts, and due to it's shape very fragile in standing up to repeated impact absorption.

In the end the designs of multimedia weapons and armor are often about portraying a certain visual presence. Viking helmets in reality didn't have horns, too easy to grab and jerk the wearer around. Female armor wouldn't have breast shaped chest plates, least the wearer's breasts be smashed. Swords would not be bogged down with excess material making them heavy and unwielding.
