Yep plus 10 hours of maintenance and unless something has changed from their past history of long maintenance times when the NA server finally comes back up you will not notice a single change in the games performance. Going into Cyrodiil, you will experience the same old lag, freezes, crashes to desktop, land long load screens. But, look on the bright side, you had to opportunity to get some other things done today.

Every meeting I have ever been in could have been distilled by 90%. Usually they were a complete waste of time and this is having come from a very large multinational corporation.

Not trying to fan the flames but already doing it, why the vast majority of positive feedbacks in the ocean of complaints in these maintenance topics seems to come from people that just arrived the forums?

I don't honestly believe that ZOS need their employees to buy good publicity nor I'm saying that, you know, just saying...

I don't disagree. I work for a deepwater drilling company that drills worldwide. But, sometimes the meetings are good because they don't elevate small problems to the executive level for no reason.

What would you do if they posted a huge detailed post regarding how a specific line of code did something unexpected, had to be located, fixed, and then redeployed? How much more "informative" would that be to a common player? Snag is an easier and more efficient way of describing the problem.

No one wants to read a big boring technical post, that has nothing regarding our game play experience in it.

So, EU re-boot completes ~15:30 Eastern, then an hour for NA, nets to 16:30 Eastern at soonest?

So sad, as I have several long processes to execute at work, and they must be run serially, so I have some nice downtime to kill...

After having read this latest update it seems that it will be at least TWO more hours before there is a chance that NA MAC/PC will be up.

Roughly, yes. We want to make sure all issues are clear on PC EU first before bringing PC NA back up, so while it may not be exactly an hour, that's a decent estimate at this time.

Can you imagine what they would endure from this group if they were to get specific about the snag? Folks with some technical know-how, without actually knowing their processes, equipment etc. would get all bent out of shape, "well if you'd just do A B C then it would be fixed. Babies are born with more coding knowledge than you all..." etc etc

A "snag" is a perfectly acceptable reason for extended downtime. Unless you're on the payroll I don't think you're entitled to more information than that.
