Do not pity the dead, Harry. Pity the living, and, above all those who needs a bot to finish a game.
Real Smart: your idea just turn ZOS into a gold farmer of their own game. Selling gold will destroy any type of economy that ESO has. Some people's end game is trading (buying and selling), ZOS took some of that away already by selling couple skill lines in the crown store -- vampire and WW. ZOS already acted pretty dumb by that move and selling gold in the crown store is more dumb than that.

Thanks to the 'merchants' for working together in draining all the yellow tempers on the EU megaserver and putting these at almost double to double the cost as they were before.
As if gear is cheap to make already...
Because there is literally no possibility to make money in this game because ZOS killed most traders this patch and stuff is getting ridiculous expensive.
And I am not a flowerpicker myself so aint gonna happen

It is much more straightforward than buying gold and it could probably help ZOS make more money which they desperately need if they are going to start million dollar give aways.

The Bind on Pickup disease.
The only things that sell these days are mats, potions, motifs, and Agility/Willpower jewelry. If you're the kind of person who farms mats (buying mats to make potions is not profitable, so you gotta farm alchemy mats) or farms motifs, you'll be doing just fine.
For people who run a lot of end-game content, they're basically screwed. In the past, these people would make gold by selling gear (e.g., Footman and Healer gear from vDSA). Now that every piece of end-game gear is BoP (with the sole exception of the jewelry, which you get primarily by farming IC/sewers), people who don't farm have lost their source of income.
In one of the really big guilds that I'm in, it used to be that a large majority of their sales was gear--Healer, Footman, Ravager, Cyrodiil's Light, etc.--and it was a great way for people who run content instead of farming to make gold. Now the vast majority of sales are farmed mats, farmed motifs, and the trophy vault stuff from IC grinders.
This is not a healthy economy, as all it's doing is concentrating gold in the hands of the farmers who now have nothing worthwhile to spend their gold on since they can't buy any of the end-game gear. And in the long-term, when the non-farmers have depleted their reserves of gold, who'll be left to buy from the farmers?
The people saying that gold is easy to earn is missing the point. Yes, gold is easy to earn--if you are a farmer. BoP has wrecked half the economy, just because you're not in the half that got wrecked (or a GM of a trading guild watching downward trending sales figures) doesn't mean that this won't be a problem that'll bite you in the long run too.

I doubt he was actually serious about gold in the crown store; that was just sarcastic. His point is that BoP and the failure to update BoE sets has destroyed half the economy, which is something that you'd notice (and should be worried about) if you watch what goes on in the guild markets.
