Which Alliance is the most evil?

Exactly as the title says. Whilst you're playing the three storylines there are quite a few questionable tactics used by the enemy alliances against the one you're currently in. I was wondering which one people think is the worst overall?

Personally I've always hated AD due to Lore/RP reasons, but the skin-stealing quests in Shadowfen? That was pretty darn evil...

Of what we get to see of the various factions in the questlines, the Dominion hands down. The stuff their soldiers get up to in Shadowfen is just several steps beyond anything we see from the other factions. In fact, we barely see the Pact do much in the lands of the other alliances at all. They are implicated helping to fund the Veiled Heritence, which is tactical, but little else.

AD for the obvious reason of the Thalmor. It's clear and has been explained many times that the Thalmor are based of [you know who].

Like even there raise to power is the same as [still know who]. First started out as a political party and slowly rose to a super power bent on world domination and slaughtering any one who opposed.

Hmm ... No there the same. Racist and wanting Altmer race superiority over all other races the only reason there "getting along" is cause there Altmer queen is ordering them to be nice.

High Elves are my favourite, but what the Dominion did in Shadowfen was horrifying so I'm going to have to vote for them.

Edit: This topic is back? Well, I know the Shadowfen general was kinda rogue, but of all the war crimes in the game I still think that one was the most disturbing. Really though I think all the alliances are just trying to do what's right and not be 'evil'.

Ebonhart Pact - explain

After finishing all 3 alliances' stories, I think that the war is just one of Molag Bal's evil plots.
Why? Alliance leaders, all of them dont seem that bad. For example, I cannot imagine Ayrenn ordering to kill unborn argonians and steal someone's skin or Emeric telling his generals to resurrect their soldiers as zombies. And every time an evil allince general is somehow related to necromancy and dark magic. Well, we all know who's the boss of the Worm's Order.

Or IC dlc and its questline... Daedra conquered the city, they're stealing souls, torturing and killing everyone, and yet we're fighting each on the streets and in sewers just because killing members of another faction is apparently much more important than the White-Gold tower being sucked into Oblivion. (And yeah, I dont have anything against fighting each other gameplay-wise, but lore-wise we're playing Molag Bal's game imo)
Also I'm a bit tired of people who think that second era AD is the same as 4th era one.

I would say hands down the Aldmeri Dominion due to their behavior in Shadowfen. The whole skinwalking and massacring of Argonian Eggs was over the top. They had no way of knowing they were targeting Argonians set to become warriors. They could of easily been farmers, artisans and such.

Daggerfall Covenant would be second. Only because of their decision to use Necromancy and use the dead to fight for them. Its considered to be a pretty vile thing to do and if it werent for the fact the AD had to go over the top with attacking innocents. This would be the number one evil thing.

Ebonheart Pact comes in last. But this is, from what I can remember, more about the fact that the leaders like Jorunn either dont know or look the other way in regards to slaves from other Alliances. If you go through Stonefalls and Shadowfen specifically you will come across Khajiit and Breton slaves. For some reason those two are the most prominent. And the EP only falls into last here because its something the Dunmer do and not the other two races. In Glenumbra theres quests that refer to Dunmer Slavers hauling people off to slavery and in Shadowfen Argonians are still being taken into Slavery within EP lands. Making me wonder if this is something that is done when the Dunmer think or know the Nords and Argonians are looking the other way.

Don't High Elves live more than a 1,000 years though, in general? It could literally be many of the same Thalmor in that case.

They may not be the same Thalmor, but they share many of the same views. Did you ever loot that stolen fence item, the Thalmor's guide to approved mating practices? They already are supremacists.

Because that's what the Altmer are, in general. Ayrenn is an exception, of course, but look at how many of the people around her turned against her. Most of the people most loyal to her, e.g., her pet cat and Cariel, aren't Altmer. It's very easy to see the Altmer supremacists taking the reins if Ayrenn ever is bumped out of the picture.

Ebonhart Pact - explain

For khajiit, the choice is easy:
The dunmer have a society that was built upon slavery of khajiit and argonian alike. So evil points to them.
The argonians revere the Dread Father to such a degree that any outsider would give pause. There is a reason the worship of Sithis is taboo in other provinces--yet the argonians have a culture that praises him.
The nords? Bah. They're rugged, unclean, brutes that don't even bother to groom their excessive man-hair. But mostly non-evil. Except for their giant-toe mead. That is definitely evil.

DC has a very early quest in which you are presented with what I feel is the strongest moral dilemma in the game. They get upset if you do the right thing. I really fail to have any sympathy for them after that.

All other factions have their aholles but they are usually rogue elements. DC is kind of slimy at it's core.

To me its the Thalmor/Aldmer based on the lore, because they tricked their comrade race wood eleves by telling them for the greater good and in the end ensuring for their destruction even when Bosmers helped them(like give them shelter,food,etc)from the legions.

Then, for the khajiit they fooled them about the moons that they worship and used them for their goal.

Edit: Even the name of their banner is AldmerI Domin(ance)ion. They don't care about other races and even their comrade race.

I just hope the next TES game will ensure the talmor destruction.

Shadowfen was beyond cruel, but to be fair, the guy wasn't intending to really make Argonians go extinct, just use that as a threat to force the pact to surrender.

That doesn't excuse the cruelness of how some of those soilder's acted though - like that altmer guy who took one of the would-be Argonian mother's eggs and cooked and ate her unborn baby in front of her. Damn right I killed him when I was given the option. That's sadistic.

Not only is their hatchling-killing plans to despoil all of shadowfen and comitt genocide on the argonians by severing their tie to the hist forever the worst, the altmer are also stuck-up racist fools, most of which can't even treat their allies proper without trying to enslave them, while plotting all the while to stab their fellows in the backs for not being sufficiently stuck up... and the bosmer are cannibals... and the khajiit are criminals...

Not that DC is far behind. Well, the bretons aren't at any rate. The orsimer are just brutal, and the redguards sometimes a bit too quick to reach for their swords, but its the bretons who are pretty much behind all the really evil stuff the alliance gets up to...

Of course, the pact is ull or paragons of virtue!

Be it nords who bravely sail forth to bring the benefits of their culture and blood to other races (at axepoint, if needs be... or they just feel like it...), or dunmer who provide lesser beings a chance to experience civilization (without those having to worry about making decisions or caring for themselves), the pact races have always reached out to those less fortunate with an open hand (Or closed fist. Or open slave shackles. Or poisoned dagger)!

In any case, the whole question is a matter of degree, and depending on ones point of view.
Though I have to note, the quests in AD and DC lands show little "evil" from other factions, while the EP quests get a load to make pact characters hate the other alliances...

He was actually a Bosmer (I just did that quest a couple of nights ago) so it makes some sense what with them being so cannibalistic in the first place. He did take it a liiiiitle far though...
