On topic, I've literally just watched 5 people on a ram (though with a siege shield) have two pots of oil poured right on them - they maybe lost 5% of their health before you could see three of them simultaneously purge. Flaming oil is now ineffective and useless for most defences.
Also, mod arrival in 3, 2, 1...
Indeed... I'm no longer responding to those kind of hateful comments. Serves no purpose, really.
That's disgusting that, I witnessed similar earlier. I was pouring 2 oils above the main gate against a small group too, and of course non of them died, they ended up just getting through with stainless clothing/armor, and onto the next door. ^^

You need to understand that the "casuals" in this game complain about everything so while yes most people in this thread want more siege damage despite how ignorant that is the casuals will complain and it will eventually get nerfed
YES I want skillfull gameplay but I hate to break it to you the casuals do not
the reason PvE has been nerfed into the ground so *** hard is because casuals complain about how it is so hard for them
the same will happen if they increase siege damage
I personally do not think this will help anything and will make TTK even shorter which is a bad thing
So what? Shoot the clusters of people with fire ballistas or meatbags, just like you did pre-IC patch. You say it's hard to deal with zergs the way it is. It would be EASIER if siege dealt more damage. In fact, fighting a zerg was MORE FUN when siege dealt higher damage. Note Fun; the reason why people play games at all. Also, if you play to break up one sided campaigns, dominated by one faction, you really dont want siege buffed to infinity. It's painful enough to fight these megablobs as in 2-3 raids clumped up to protect their private PvE paradise. Having to deal with their endless amount of siege- and revive monkeys, makes it even harder. Why I dont mind siege hitting for less again.
The more players you have the more siege you can place, the more healers and Purge bots you can place to protect the siege monkey line. As the underdog, in terms of numbers, you usually cant spare more than one guy placing at most a meatbag.

But it's the casuals that want siege buffed lol. No-life PvP'ers hate siege v.s. siege fights.
It's the casual that cant compete unless they run with a massive pug zerg and place siege from every angle of the map, to tryhard some stacked group, they already outnumber greatly. It's the casual that wants to stand max range and oneshot people with a cool toy, without having to use actual skills.

But teh ram is as effective as the oil lol. That's like throwing a wet sponge at the door to go with the fairy liquid...

Siege weapon damage does barely do any damage to players now after the Imperial City update and changes to Battle Spirit. This includes players in small groups or alone, and especially with the AOE Cap granting 75% less damage taken to groups containing 6+ players, there's absolutely nothing you can do to them/or a zerg anymore. Sorry @ZOS, but not everybody wants to join zerg-balls!
Because there's no skill involved using siege weapons. Simply boring game play.

Excellent, good to know.

OR you can avoid siege. OR people can stop being stupid and camp a resource while people are camping inside. In short, OR people can learn how to play.
Did you just L2P me? LOL
Why avoid it when I can purge it?
Why am I stupid for trying to take down a tower farm? afaik thats where the AP is and typically there is no lag because you dont tower farm with 24+ people -______-
You tried to mock me with your "ors" but it was just bad and hard to read
Exactly the point. You just said it yourself... Why avoid it when I can purge it? (why play when I have a 1 hit fix?) So zerg just stand around with their 1 hit fix and ignore siege weapons. While you're spamming purge the guy next to you is doing what? What great input does he have to the fight besides being a number? All he has to do is turn up.
Ok
Um
its been said before in this thread
this is not elder siege online
player vs player
any player will die to siege in 2-3 seconds if they do not counteract it there is no need to buff it
also apart from like disease siege or whatever do you really think the devs intended us to shoot fire ballistas at each other and have fun?
I play my character in pvp not some simple ass siege weapon
