Sorry but this is just not working. What you want to implement is a new raised level cap every DLC. There is nothing about progression in your proposal as much as there is nothing about progression in the caps ZOS is introducing. It´s unattractive for anyone hitting the cap and on top of that you want to screw everyone over that hit the cap (some people did it playing the game normally) - are you nuts  ?

I´ll quote myself on how i think it should be done:

The first step would be: Hardcap the whole CP system at 900CP. This should not be increased ever - so even a maxed out player (highly unlikely) still has to make decisions regarding passives. Then remove enlightenment from the game.

The second thing would be a different XP curve:

1 to 100 CP are 50.000 XP each
101 to 200 CP are 100.000 XP each
201 to 300 PC are 150.000 XP each
301 to 400 CP are 200.000 XP each
401 to 500 CP are 600.000 XP each
501 to 600 CP are 1.800.000 XP each
601 to 700 CP are 3.600.000 XP each
701 to 800 CP are 5.400.000 XP each
801 to 900 CP are 10.800.000 XP each

Now convert the champion XP every player got under the old system into the new one.
No progression is lost for anyone. Low CP players gain a lot. Very high CP player loose a lot of power. But nothing they did is hidden or lost behind an arbitrairy wall.
As an added bonus grinding over 600cp just becomes so unrewarding and unattractive in terms of powergain only the most dedicated people would do ist - and they would not have the tremendous advantages they have now.

    An Example:

In the old system the XP required to reach the cap of 3600CP was 1.440.000.000. Now it would require someone 2.270.000.000 XP to reach the cap of 900.
You would reach 800cp at about ~1.200.000.000 XP (half of the cap xp wise you´d be sitting at 800 of 900 cp).

Someone with 100CP in the old system would now have 350CP.
Someone with 1000CP in the old system would now have 630CP.
Someone with 2000CP now would have 727CP in the new system for example and require 5.4 million XP for the next CP they earn.

This is undeniably still an advantage for a player with very high time investment but instead of having 10 to 20 times the championpoints the "grinder" does merely have double the CP of a normal player.

For someone pickung up on the game it would mean by the time they reach V16 they would have 186CP to spend instead of 34.

This would keep the (for some people enjoyable) grind and longterm goals in the game while at the same time putting people in roughly the same ballpark CP wise. Sure having 700cp compared to 350 is a huge advantage still but imho everyone would have a fighting chance.

After that they´d have to balance out passives.
Eg: Add physical mitigation. Remove dot mitigation. Make light heavy attacks more attractive. Buff magica related 75p and 120p passives etc...

this is very good, but i still prefer rework cp system, cut most numbers half.

Yeah definetly. The 16% passives seem in a good place - anything over 20% is just too strong (apart from the light heavy attacks - nobody skills them anyway i´d put them to 16% but also increase attack speed or something along that).

    See you there!

Are you going to have the same panelists as last time?

Same core 4 panelists but we will have a couple special guests who can give us different perspectives outside of just small group / solo pvp.

You need different perspectives. Or...you need to think about the health of the game, from casual pvp'rs to hardcore pvp'rs. And the last episode unfortunately only represented a small minority of players. I hope you guys will keep that in mind.

Also I'd like to point out many of the trading guilds meet with devs regularly regarding pve/ social functions of the game. I know this isn't about pve, but those players have a solid voice in house already.

So this podcast can completely focus on pvp. Let different episodes reflect each aspect of it. Just my opinion :)

I gotta agree. No disrespect at all, but I don't want to hear people that spend 98% of their time in PvP and the other 2% probably in load screens talk about PvE. It'd be like listening to Lebron James give his views on Rugby.

They did. Very little came of it. The representation of guilds/players is entirely skewed in favor of PvE (which is a good thing for them from a business standpoint because that is the huge majority of their player base). Thus, any feedback from a PvP guild is likely drowned out from the feedback of the dozens of other PvE/casual guilds. Not that they aren't listening, but there's almost no weight behind what a hardcore pvp guild might tell them, because they're ONLY hearing it from that guild. They're not going to change their game based off of the feedback of a small guild in a very niche part of their game. I think players that knew about these meetings, and complained they weren't a part of it are starting to realize how hopeless it is. You can't even get things changed by creating 30+ page threads on the forums, or having basically a consensus among PvPers about things that need to be changed.

We're all just along for the ride. What's needed isn't more feedback concerning the issues of the game(though it doesn't hurt). What is needed is for ZOS to approach how they address these issues in a completely new way because their current way of doing things is inadequate.

I gotta agree. No disrespect at all, but I don't want to hear people that spend 98% of their time in PvP and the other 2% probably in load screens talk about PvE. It'd be like listening to Lebron James give his views on Rugby.

Its not like we cant PvE or dont PvE. FENGRUSH kills it in all departments.

I would have to see that to believe it. :o

I guess you never watched one of the 50 WGT runs Ive done on stream for no drops!

Episode 2 of this Podcast will go live Saturday (tomorrow) @ 7PM US Central / 8PM Eastern on http://www.twitch.tv/sypherpk

Can confirm this: those fengrush WB crits hit WGT mobs worse than in pvp lol

The only time I've ever seen Fengrush fighting a NPC Boss, he was in the process of dragging it onto of a group he was trying to wipe.

50, ouch. I got 3 in my first 5 or so attempts and haven't seen another one since then.

Oh I don't mean pve at all. Of course they should focus on pvp, or I wouldn't have posted something. But it is quite obvious that all four of them are into small scale pvp, not the large scale pvp that Cyrodiil was made for...which I might add is what makes ESO unique. Cyrodiil was especially made for the epic sieging of keeps with up to a hundred people fighting for it. It was made for fighting in large groups, regardless of whether the server can handle it or not. It wasn't made for arena or a"battleground" style pvp.

I look forward to these so called special guests. I hope they run with larger groups.

I'm curious if anyone was watching the stream when they talked about skills scaling on resources and about the stamina/magicka morph split. Something that came to mind, at least for me, is that so long as skills scale based off of max resource values people will only ever be incentivized to stack one thing. Does anyone else thing hybrid builds will be possible as long as this system exist in game?

It was a better stream than last time, but the social ability displayed in the chat should make certain parts of this community take a look at themselves and the environment they want to have for any kind of meaningful discussion.

tl;dr Stop constantly insulting people just because you do not agree.

Certainly the bottom of the barrel in chat. Was a good stream though. I understand the viewers are your livelihood, or you've had a certain way of dealing with them in the past. Thick skin or not, there's a certain level of class you should be expected to live up to. Poor showing from the streamers on that part, imo.

Apples and oranges, or whatever you want to call it all I could think about when the chat subject came up was: https://youtu.be/dKxXtOyMmYc?t=236 @ 3:56

Pretty sure Sypher and company told people in chat to stop with the bashing. It is the internet you cant control people. What else would you have them do?

    Ban people.
    Close the chat.
    Stop streaming.

    Probably a few more things.

I don't expect them to stop streaming. The first two are real options, though. There's even a moderator in the chat, but I guess they just have the tag to flex their epeen and not because they actually do anything.

Well that is on the mods not really the streamers. It is just kinda nonsense how these guys are putting this stream out there for us and all they get is flack for this and for that. After the first one its all, you need large scale pvp represented. So they listened they got Crown and Jules. Now they are getting criticized for other people's ass hole comments? Take it for what it is man they are trying to fill the role that we lack on getting ZoS's attention. It is literally like Sypher putting it together and the other panelist's sharing opinions just giving up there time in order to vocalize people's complaints and to share their thoughts. Literally all they have gotten from it is complaints and criticism just seems kinda *** from my point of view. They aren't putting money and production value into it like some other podcasts that are out their for this game and in all honesty its covers MUCH more relevant topics for most the people in this forum.

I agree so much. Great stream. The insult spam got so bad though that people with legitimate comments were completely drowned out. Twitch needs parental controls or something eugh.

Sypher did but it's pretty bad when the hosts have to go completely off topic to tell people to knock it off when they're trying to stick to a schedule. I suppose nothing, free speech and all.

I don't think anyone has said anything bad about them doing this. Anyone ridiculing any of the streamers for putting the time and effort into trying to make the game better is an idiot. The complaints I have seen have been either valid or not about the podcast itself.

I want to make it clear, no one I have talked to has said they shouldn't be doing the podcast or that it isn't a great idea. Most people watch it and our pvp on saturdays probably suffers a bit when we are listening to it in the background or on our second monitors. It's something people want and agree with. I thank them for doing it. I'm just bringing up an issue if I see one... and seeing a friend of mine for a long time in this game be personally attacked doesn't sit well with me.
