    ZOS is so silly
All this to say I'm not sure of the impact of this bug on the doability of the vet arena. And yes obviously the conditions will not be the same between the 1st week and the 2nd but the scoreboards won't be shared anyway, and yes, EU will have a slight advantage, but c'm'on guys, this is only a for-fun-contest on PTS.

You don't seem to get it, so I'll spell it out for you.

With the damage bug, you CAN NOT finish the veteran maelstrom arena. You need to finish it to get on the leaderboards. I can assure you no one is going to finish it this week.

You have no idea how difficult it is.

It really isnt that difficult. It´s just broken dmg that makes it appear hard. Without that"bug" you would close to oneshot most mobs lol.

So yea, with broken dmg mitigation it´s really difficult. So didnt even bother yet.

    LOL I get it don't worry ;-)
    What I meant is :
1/ if nobody finishes ZOS will reward the one who's gone farthest (is that english ? farthest ? :-) )
2/ should they do differently, well yes, NA server will miss a chance to win a for-fun contest on a totally unfair basis, prepare to call gamers' rights NGOs, take over the White House and do the revolution ;-)

NB : on a more serious note : I understand, yes it's a bit screwed, but hey, just chill.

Which is exactly why I said it's not possible to finish it with the damage bug.

Also, how do you know it's really not difficult if you haven't bothered with 'it' yet? :/

Did the patch change the Orsinium Writs/Material Leveling again?

I just pulled a Clothing Writ from the Orsinium City board and received a Writ for Belkarth, Craglorn.

    ORwrit.jpg

The character is VR6 with L50 Clothing Skill with 10/10 material passive. I thought the writs were still tied to material skill levels with Orsinium. Did today's patch add back in a character usable check as well?

Or is the writ board not accepting that I have access to Orsinium as a VR6 character with battle leveling.

If the writ board in Orsinium is going to use requirement tables all the way from Veteran 14 to Veteran 16 we will have to jump all the way back and forth between Craglorn and Orsinium.

If the Orsinium writ board has the same character level check as Craglorn does for VR1 then that should be noted in the patch notes or add a notice to the writ board that you will still only receive VR14 material writs unless you are character level VR15.

Nope. I abandoned all my writs and picked up new ones. On my VR16 with all crafting maxed, I'm still getting Rubedite, Ancestor Silk, and Ruby Ash writs. Also, Essence for alchemy and Superb for enchanting.

Maybe this is in-line with the fact that only a fraction of the resource drops are V16 mats; maybe only a fraction of the writs are V16 writs. This is a reasonable compromise for not getting V16 mats every time, but if your passives are maxed I still think you should get V16 mats (and writs) every time. (Don't forget that the place where you get the writ is irrelevant; writs are based on your crafting passives and your access to zones, not the zone which you pick the writ up in.)

This is being blown out of proportion. While your character remained hidden while rezzing, the blue resurrection ray was most certainly visible and thus a dead giveaway anyways. I've killed many people by throwing an AoE on the other end of the blue ray and popping them from stealth while they were rezzing. Looting crates, chests, and heavy bags also brings you out of stealth. This is just being consistent with things that you can't do while hidden.

I havent spent a dime on this game since it went B2P. IC was a dumb idea with the whole looting stones and encouraging zergs. I told them numerous times and they insisted zergs wouldnt be rewarded that it would be more small scale battles. Of course they were naive or outright lying. Either way Im glad I didnt buy IC.

While it may not be a game changer, it's indicative of deaf ears. No one asked for it, it doesn't help in any way, why do it? The reasoning isn't there, they simply make changes as they wish without considering cause and effect. In this situation, cause is unknown, effect is going to cripple small groups even more.

And the ray isn't visible (on X1), the blue glow on the deceased is, but that's it.

Just because its consistent doesn't mean they have to change it. There's already several ways to keep people from ressing someone including putting an AoE on the dead player as you mentioned (the Caltrops method is popular as is Revealing Flare). So there's really no need for them to change it. ... Besides, after you finish ressing you are popped out of stealth for a couple of seconds anyway. This change is unceccesary.

Don't get me wrong, I've rabble roused about many other changes, but even after you all's responses I still don't see this as a real issue. Even as it is right now on live, if enemies are camping a body, the rezzer being hidden is not going to make a difference because those visual effects will still go off and give away the fact that someone is being rezzed -- doesn't matter if you're hidden, your cover is blown the second you start rezzing. Not to mention, the person being rezzed still has to restealth once they are alive again, further giving away the fact someone else is around. Because of how it is currently, I don't see this change as negatively affecting small group PvP (my favorite kind) in any significant way as you will still simply wait until the enemies move away before trying to rez.

In reponse to @Ethoir about consistency, that was just my guess about why they are changing this. Much of what ZOS does revolves around internal consistency of game mechanics and systems (remember the consolidation of buffs in the Major/Minor system and the revamping of provisioning with update 1.6? the casualties of those changes were much larger than this one by far). This change may have been on their to do list for months, but just now is getting implemented, who knows. They have to have consistent rules about things, such as what you can do while stealthed, in order to better balance and plan future development.
