Damn nightblade Athina...who rerolled DK Benom? I think. That's all the person ever did was try to stealth behind me to feed while others would wait to jump me. Half the time he fed though his friends still couldn't kill me in time ( -=

After 16 years of playing mmo's, most of it hardcore pvp, this seems to happen in many if not all mmo's at one point or another. Even the behemoth WoW is a shadow of it's former self and has had a host of similar threads created and ol good times shared.

Making friends, guildies, and acquaintances and then never hearing from them again is the norm as I've befriended hundreds of people closely and only managed to stay in touch on a regular basis with 20 or so. Since I was never at the launch of Daoc this game's launch and the following several months of pvp probably was the largest cluster of real enjoyment in an mmo I've ever had.

Definitely had some great times in this game, from PRX -> Igni Ferroque -> Venatus -> DiE -> Havoc -> Haxus and there definitely was the possibility of a much better rvr game than the one we got/have today. In the end be grateful for the good times you had and look forward to the plethora of upcoming titles we pvpers will have at our fingertips in the next several years as we all jump ship from this sinking freighter.

I too miss so many people, for months the only reason I kept logging in was for the people I met. Now when I log in Im lucky if I have more than 4 friends online in my contact list. It's heartbreaking to see so many fun and talented people disappear to other games.

everyone would still be here if zos even cared about the health of pvp. Everyone got sick of it and quit.

I lost a large chunk of my original players at 1.2.3 they will never come back.

I doubt they see these threads. I think their moderators insulate them from most criticism. They don't have the time to always read the forums. That means its someones job to synthesize and summarize the forums for them.

This person has ample opportunity to insert their own biases and judgments into the reports, as well as shore up the walls of the echo chamber so that all is always well.

But on the other hand, I don't think we have done a good job as a PvP community in describing what we want from ZOS. It is too easy to become overly judgmental or angry. Our posts always have a tone of demanding action or harsh criticism. Justified yes, but helpful, no. It really shows in multiple aspects. We have community ambassadors but no one I distinctively recognize exclusively from the PvP community. If we aren't completely disillusioned at this point, we might try using more honey and less napalm.

We spend too much time creating nerf wars and flame threads.

Kinda pity the moderators though. They need to take all our pyromancy to the face (while having Guard toggled so that it doesn't hit the devs) even though it's not their fault. Also, not everyone demands. Some people do ask nicely, so it kinda isn't fair to them either when you tar the whole PvP community with the same brush.

let's have elections for a PvP ambassador then. Someone should make a thread, people nominate well known PvPers, and when the thread has enough participants, everyone sends a nomination to the forum moderators.

I only started PvPing in 1.2, I don't belong in this thread :'(
