I miss the old days and old players

This song is the first that comes to mind when i think about the first year or so. Getting like 4 hours sleep before work. Not going out with friends because of the people that we played with.

The good old days. So many great players and personalities. Both enemies and friendlies. Zos for the love of god please revert some of your changes. At the very least have different servers with different rule sets/patches (also wouldnt hurt to remove the lighting patch

). You would be amazed how many would come back for a server with no IC, no CP's, and a mix between 1.4-1.6. What do you have to lose? Just try it.

You will gain respect for admitting mistakes. There is a lot to be said about that. Stop the bleeding and save this game. Some great titles coming soon. They will have bugs too though. Give them an alternative to come back to. Or not.

I remember their was a time I didn't sleep Sunday nights so I could stay online and fight in Cyrodiil and lived on 5-6 hours sleep each other day. These days i'm getting a solid 8+ every night, just isn't the same....

Dude, I think you misinterpreted my tone. Those are nothing but fond memories if you ask me. No sarcasm implied. I loved ground oils. Many do on this forum. They were the best anti-zerg we ever had.

The wayshrine camping incident was hilarious. The fact that ZOS couldn't decide if it was exploiting or not was even more hilarious.

And who could look back at the Fixate/Nicole days on Wabbajack and say they didn't have fun? Yeah I died to batpulse/talons constantly but I had more fun then than I do now.

Lighten up bro, and relive this stuff with me!!!

Mostly I see topics like these in mmo's after 4-5 years (SWG, Vanguard, Ryzom).

But still, great memories from the first day I stepped into cyrodiil at lvl 15. Oh what joy it was. 500+ people on my screen and NO LAG. Zerg's were not the tight AOE spamming groups, but a huge scattered group of noobs (like we are where) just figuring out which skills to use. Great battles and sieges that lasted longer at any keep. People selling foods during sieges like they where on a baseball game selling hotdogs.

Oh my, so much has changed.

Out of 10 people that joined the game together from another game (Vice Squad - Star Trek Online), I am the sole survivor. The co-founder of the ESO Aldmeri Vice guild, Cesare Bull, quit out of frustration with the IC grind two weeks ago, he had been the only remaining regular player since 1.6 came out.

Out of 79 friends gathered since around update 1.2, only 14 are still playing on a weekly basis, and only eight on a daily basis.

Most of these people I will never hear from again, only a select few (mostly the Vice guys since we are still part of a larger umbrella guild over multiple game) still have contact with me of any kind.

So many acquaintances i never made friends on my lists or anything, also gone.

This thread just depressed me, if im honest.

I played since beta, left for the entirety of 1.6. Came back for IC, spent weeks grinding trophies. Got my Restoratration staff of agility..., and have left the game again. It just hasn't turned into the game I expected it to be. Doubt I'll be coming back again. Life's too short for endless rng grinds and loading screens.
