Dear Jessica!
I've grinded Flesh Atronachs for hours already, with 5 AD toons, with all that dolmens and so on I've killed more than 3k, maybe 4k.
There was no drop cause of your year long bug. And your colleagues told me that Flesh Symbionyte drop would be fixed with the IC patch.
Three questions:
1. Is it finally fixed?
2. Where should I grind now that atronachs with my AD VR14 toon?
3. Can you make at least their droprate higher? That's my last trophy to collect. I've lost the bet cause of your bug,
Maybe that means that they changed their mind about making it so that you can't bank it and use it on a different character? I mean, probably not, but we can hope...trippingchrissy wrote: »After all that, the only line about the change in the patch notes is "Monster trophies now work more like fishing trophies: when you loot one, you automatically receive achievement credit, rather than having to use it as a separate action."
Won't you get more support tickets now that your only announcement of the change was a short line that doesn't explain it very well in a huge list of patch notes?

It also makes sense for the to not implement class changes just because you rolled a Templar and added Vampire and don't like the combination, but who's counting?

You against the world, heh? Take a moment to relax, breathe, and come to grips with your anger situation.

If people didn't voice their opinions the devs wouldn't know what the players want/don't want or like/dislike, or if things even work properly/effectively. And calling everyone in this thread "hypocrites" is far-fetched and slightly insulting...
Besides, with your logic we shouldn't be able to trade/share other rare items between characters (or any items for that matter). What about everything else we share between characters via the bank, like recipes, crafting materials, ingredients, motifs, items/armor, etc.?
The collectibles don't do anything besides giving you a dye and eventually a title - it's just cosmetic. But being able to share other items that actually "help" in-game is okay? I see that as a double standard.

According to most of the anti change class logic, you shouldn't be able to do that either.

Yeah, the fishing changes... I preferred it the other way, but it's not such a big deal. By putting in the effort I can get every fish on the character I want to get them on. I don't have to worry about being too high level to catch certain fish.Sneak_Thief wrote: »Not happy about the fishing changes either, but damn at least I know where to fish at. ZOS_JessicaFolsom wrote: »Hi everyone,
We’d like to provide a little insight and clarification on the upcoming changes to collectibles.
Currently, collectible trophies work differently for those obtained via fishing versus those obtained via monster kills. Fishing trophy collectibles grant the associated achievement upon item pick-up, whereas monster-kill trophy collectibles grant the associated achievement upon use. This difference was resulting in a high volume of bug reports and feedback in which players thought the collectible trophies were broken. That combined with the availability being limited by level-range prompted us to make the system more intuitive and uniform. That’s where the upcoming changes come in.
So what do those changes consist of? Here’s a short list:We hope that helps clarify the changes. Please let us know if you have any questions!
- All collectible trophies will now grant the associated achievement when the item is first looted.
- Monster trophies will always drop off appropriate level monsters for your character. A game-wide audit was done to make sure that no matter what level you are, there is always a place you can go to work on collecting the trophy you are looking for.
- Collectible trophies can no longer be banked and traded to another character.
Clarify? Yes, in terms of the disparity in the way monster trophies and fishing trophies are used.
HOWERVER, the "Collectible trophies can no longer be banked and traded to another character" is trivial.
Since this achievement has been introduced, I have enjoyed the hunt while playing ANY toon I want. You see, @ZOS_JessicaFolsom, I only play my 'main' for endgame content and new content. The 'main' has been here since launch and has almost every PVEISH achievement there is, except for fishing and monster trophies. ZOS just recently made fishing worth doing. My main fishes, gets achievements AND mats to add my alts in leveling. But why would you make me go farm these monsters on the 'main'? I have enjoyed doing it on my alts, who get to contribute to the monster hunt. It doesn't make me feel that if I want this achievement, I have to "grind" senselessly. There is enough mechanics that make people feel the "grind" already. Why deepen such a play style? My main has it half done by a method of an ENTIRE YEAR, and now some trivial behaviour changes this. There is an argument that some of these type achievements should be account wide, but the go around to the debate is about to "fixed". I can only urge you to revisit this.
For a game that suggests "play as you want", why do I have to change my play style comfort zone EVERY content update?
This is a small complaint, in the grand scheme of things, but for the love of the Divines, LEAVE THE BANKING/TRADING PORTION ALONE. STOP MAKING ME PLAY ON CERTAIN TOONS FOR TRIVIAL REASONS!!!
So.. my AD VR14 is currently questing in Alik'r. Where can I get fleshy symboiant? Anyone know spots in Alik'r, Bangkorai, or Craglorn?
I'm anti-grinding. It's boring. Pointless. Ugh.
But I need to grind for that collectible now.
And if that's the place where ZOS's audit told them people need to go to farm that trophy, then this change to how trophies work is total ***. If there's another place where they can actually be reasonably farmed, then maybe the change is OK. That's why I want @ZOS_JessicaFolsom to post the list of where people can go at all levels and all alliances to get each of the monster trophies.starkerealm wrote: »

What do you have against grinding?
Grab a beer, kill some monsters, chat with friends in voice chat. Its a great time.
Especially if you have to do DSA over and over just to get 2 mobs because they're the only ones in the game that can drop the collectible you're after... Just saying...mrskinskull wrote: »So.. my AD VR14 is currently questing in Alik'r. Where can I get fleshy symboiant? Anyone know spots in Alik'r, Bangkorai, or Craglorn?

I did legitimately try that with some people one night actually. I just could not stand it. I myself do not even know what it is. I love fishing for that very reason - just chill and chat with friends, but killing monsters over and over just does not have the same relaxing casual vibe I guess.

Make sure to submit in-game /feedback or /bug and request a response. When you get an automated form-letter response, reply to it to insist that someone actually address your problems. It's evidently the only way they'll listen to everyone who thinks this is a bad idea - because the reason they supposedly made this change is because a lot of people asked questions about the collectibles, we need to show them that the change results in more people clogging up CS about collectibles, not less.Netizen_of_Tamriel wrote: »Add me to the lit of people who don't like this change and want it changed back.
