Yeah this 50% Damage reduction is not cutting it.

    i agree with you, your correct sir and i thank you for the honesty.
    i can finaly enjoy pvp now.
    and as far as people saying they ran out of stamina and magicka, that does not matter because you still have light and heavy attacks that will give you resources back and also will build up as you hit them with light hits.

    That was mostly when we just got really bored. he used cloak and i walked over to him and popped boundless storm and we just stood there like that for a few minutes. we hit each other from time to time and then went our separate ways :D

    I asume your talking specifically about stamina? I think it's something with regeneration because I run out way faster then I used to regardless of blocking and dodgeroll penalties. Maybe something that needs adjusting rather then the 50% dmg reduction which I think is an absolutely awesome change. TTK now is way better then getting 1 or 2 shot like a couple days ago.

    Nah. magicka. we where throwing everything we had at each other and making little progress our DPS couldn't outmatch our survivability.

    Think that was the first in any multiplayer game where both i and my opponent got bored and left . with DPS cut in half even in pledges and what. it's not challenging it's just tedious. in my opinion anyway.

    Well I've not had the pleasure of downloading the patch yet but to be honest after the PTS I am not looking forward to it one bit. Duels will now become pointless because 2 skilled players could take a while fighting on 1.6 but now with 50% damage reduction the only thing duels will do is burn a hole in your potion pocket and lead to you both putting your weapons away, laughing a bit at how pointless the last 10 minutes of your life was and then crying because your 20 pots down. 50% was just too much IMO.

    You said it, and you said it right. My exact toughts about this. 2 good players just aint gonna manage to kill eachother unless one of them decides to chew his arm off in boredom so he cant use his mouse anymore, even then it would be hard to die. 50% is just overdoing it. 40% would atleast improve it...but I think it would need more.

    This 50% is a whole load of baloney. You can mess up epicly and still survive in 1v1. 1v3 doesn't even exist any more, unless the 3 are afk. Not to mention a greater number of opponents than that.

    It's still pretty new to us, and most of us are still running our 1.6 setups, or something very similar. Idk, the adjustment period is rough, but give it a month and I'll bet people will have found ways to be one-shotting each other once again.

    Tried it out on my DK this morning... Basically you pretty much have to stack armor and spell resist and not rely on Blocking/Dodging anymore otherwise your stamina is gone..

    Sorcs and such can still just spam shields to stay alive atleast till Shieldbreaker becomes more common maybe.

    You also have to stack the hell out of damage now to get past defense....Was trying a 1900ish spell power/25k Magicka build this morning and even with the healing debuffs I was running (Duroks Bane, Reverb Bash) you can still heal through it sometimes cause the damage simply wasn't there to finish the target.

    Will probably swap back to stamina on the DK and run shield breaker eventually....Or go Heavy armor with two hander..not sure yet.

    Also with people not dying and the healing recieved reduced even more does that mean Templars are even more useless in pvp? Way to go ZOS effing Templars in the butt even more. Pretty soon this game will only consist of sorcs and nbs with no life and that will a small player base.

    First off, there is only one sorc shield. And no it was not buffed, all shields were nerfed 5% more than damage and a bunch of sets and dots now proc on them. On top of adding a shield-breaker set.

    A lot of QQ in this thread. As far as damage goes I've seen people doing lots of damage, so really your build just sucks. I've also seen magicka DK's killing more than they numbered. A group of 2 specifically yesterday were able to handle like 10 players if they did things right. Unfortunately people can't just mash keys and watch other people die anymore.

    Groups could already kill each other in 1.6. The issue was being ganked too quickly off horses or from stealth.. Still trying to understand why this resulted in a 30% damage reduction overall.

    i tried the exact same thing. Trying to get a balance between damage and sustain. But the damage just isnt there... Myabe its just a DK thing lol. trying out heavy + 2h now xD

    This is the truth of it. all they really needed to do was tweak the damage output of Nightblades a bit to give players who weren't a sorc time to recover and counter. they did hit too hard and too quick, that's where the main problem was, it wasn't damage overall.

    The whole point of these changes was to make 1vX as hard as possible. The entire premises of these updates was to push folks into groups and make the deciding factor the size of your group. I figured this out very quickly on the PTS. Im sad to see they didn't dial back that damage reduction and healing received a bit.

    Before folks complained they died to fast, now we can't kill anyone...sounds like a grand time!

    i'll check back from time to time i guess....

    Yeah I honestly lost some serious motivation after playing last night. They continue to promote zerging. Whatever skill factor there was in this game is quickly diminishing

    I think the damage nerf was a bit too much, but, honestly, I haven't had too much of a problem killing people. Except Sorcs, they're still shield stacking their way to escape lol, except now they're sprinting and recasting shields (I seriously saw multiple Sorcs doing this last night, was like....are you that afraid of a fight? xD ), but I think once I get my vr16 weapons and armor crafted, I'll hit like a truck again.

    LOL at the afk comment. Yeah, it's become a joke. Tried solo'ing in the sewers last night; would get run over by 2 to 3 good players (no where to run on my DK, not even guards). Then we zerged them with more than them and killed them. Then a group just played on a ramp and outhealed all dps thrown at them.. The dmg was a lil high in 1.6, but the real problem were the stealth 1 shots. Not sure what we've done here, but I wasn't having fun last night. I'm sure it would have been slightly more fun if I got a group together, but just jumping on to play.. not so much.

    Another "promoting zerging" comment.... In a game designed, built, and marketed as a massive brawl-for-all three way alliance war.
