I rarely check the quest item tab in my inventory, but this sounds like it could be one of these amulets you collect from dead Pact soldiers in that Trolhetta cave in the Rift on your way to deal with Sinmur. The quest with the amulets is a sidequest in this cave.

Jut for one reason. I am a collector of ingame items. It does sound dorky, but it has been my passion in Elder Scrolls series and it will continue to be on ESO as well!
I have most of these Old Materials back US server, but with my change to EU, I am starting from the scratch!
Please let me know if you are interested in selling them!

Where do you save them to? Wave have no place to put them except in our inventories or bank.Do you have oodles of space to keep em?

Just a question. What is the difference of having an item (that you cannot use or equip) in your inventory different from having it in the database where you can simply click on an item any time?
