That's not true it is possible to coordinate groups in PVP. If you led a group in PVP on a regular basis or are in a PVP guild you would know how multiple groups stay in touch and know what the other group are doing.Group leaders well at least on Xbox know most of the other groups leaders GT by now since the same people usually run groups and they exchange Xbox live messages through smart glass to communicate and plan their next move. You can even have a party where 8 group leaders can talk and plan what go do next.If each one of those group leaders have a group of 24 that's a force of 192 players are connected and fighting as a team. Each Faction can have up to 250 players in a campaign to full all three bars.So if you have 192 players working together you kinda have the Entire AD DC or EP all working together.text chat is absolutely missing in this game
there is no possibility to coordinate in pvp
also group finder doesnt work
please add text chat so we can find new players or coordinate attacks....

So you were lying when you said this:Sir I have read each and every post in thsi 61 page thread
Because nobody who had actually honestly read all of the posts where people have explained their reasons would come away with the idea that it's about being anti-social. Nor would they come away with the idea that voice chat is a solution to the issues raised in this thread.
So, you have not read each and every post in this thread.
Sir I am in no way lying I read each and every post in this now 63 page thread I was board and had nothing to do took up three hours of my team while I wàs out and about. You can not tell me my opinion is wrong when its my opinion. I stand by my original statement that you don't want to talk with people because. You will rather hide behind a keyboard and type a message Instead of having a conversation with a person using your Vocal cords. How is that being social many people have claimed that instead of talking to people most mute their mics and leave area chat or join a party by their selves instead of asking players to turn off their music or you can hear them breathing.
I also read each post where someone put up a valid reason agansit the implementation of text chat and they were ignored and told they were wrong with no proof to back it up.
So again Sir I have read each and every post and I have drawn to the conclusion that most would rather become anti-social and they wonder why they can't find a group to run a dungeon or PvP with.
As I pay the game I am continuing to see the major issues with leaving out such a basic mmo game feature. I was hesitantly in support of not having this feature in the beginning because hey throw them a bone let them try something different, but given the issues with the voip, grouping, trade, for chat, etc etc etc. Also who says being social is simple using your vocal chords as you have stated, typing a response is just as social. I guess all those deaf people signing instead of vocalizing, although some do, are anti social, stupid argument if i ever heard one. Maybe if everything else worked perfectly I might be for it but now not at all.
Wow didn't even think about that, what would you do if you were deaf? what would you do if you were deaf and BOUGHT the console version of the game?
PS hope you dont mind sharing your point of view on another forum:
http://forums.elderscrollsonline.com/en/discussion/183412/mobile-support-for-console-text-chat
You would stop playing the game as i have and move onto FF14ARR Where you can actually socialize and be apart of the community. I still lurk on this thread waiting for a response though.
I don't believe you. To dismiss all of the people who would like the addition of a text chat feature as anti-social is not only evidence of near-total ignorance of the actual arguments in favour, but also an astonishingly shallow and closed-minded way to perceive your fellow players. Wanting a more efficient trade system is nothing to do with an unwillingness or inability to socialise. Wanting a more efficient player/group finding experience is nothing to do with an unwillingness or inability to socialise. Frustration with random noise and bad mic usage is nothing to do with an unwillingness or inability to socialise. Disappointment with the fact that a feature that was promised to console players (a feature that exists on the PC version) was not included is nothing to do with an unwillingness or inability to socialise. Disappointment with the fact that a standard feature of all good MMORPGs is absent in this game, and the unsatisfactory excuses for its lack of inclusion, is nothing to do with an unwillingness or inability to socialise. Hearing problems have nothing to do with an unwillingness or inability to socialise. Even actual shyness itself is not necessarily anything to do with an unwillingness or inability to socialise, given that text chat is often a way for shy people to socialise more comfortably. But above all else, wanting more options to facilitate the social aspect of games like this is nothing to do with an unwillingness or inability to socialise. It is the exact opposite of unwillingness to socialise.Sir I am in no way lying I read each and every post in this now 63 page thread I was board and had nothing to do took up three hours of my team while I wàs out and about. You can not tell me my opinion is wrong when its my opinion. Proof that the majority would say they want text chat.AaronLannister wrote: »Drake_Fury wrote: »He's one of many on both sides.
Personally, I've been extremely pro text chat since before the console beta when it was first revealed by a correction that @ZOS_JasonLeavey made that it will only have voice chat. I think I predate Varicite on it, but I'm not entirely sure.
There's also the opposite side where NewBlackSmurf, defcon, and others has been against text chat since before the beta as well.
My point is that the determination and origin of when a person speaks about it is not important. What matters is pure numbers. I think. I'm still not sure ZoS has cared about this thread at all since page 8 or so.

Oh, yes, I,m sure there are multiple people on both sides. I pointed out to him because he's the OP and I remembered seeing him pretty much throughout the thread. What I meant is more in the lines of not giving up after all this time and still continues to persevere. You guys are also determined, I'm sure of it, I just didn't take time to pay attention to who did more than 3-4 posts.
That being said. I know the devs remain silent on the problem, but the more this thread keeps going, the less they can ignore it. I'm sick of people saying it's only a vocal minority repeating the same thing all the time, because those vocal people need to do it since a lot af players A: have no idea there is an official eso forum, B: don't come because it's just people bashing each other (which it is, just like every other mmo forum), or a multitude other reasons.
I talked to quite a few people in my guild and pretty much all of them agreed that text chat should be in, but I don't see them post here, partly because they don't like forums, but also because they don't have an english as good as mine (yeah, maybe you didn't realise it but english is not my first language). The french text chat thread exists, but it's not quite as active as this one. The point is if I don't see people of my guild post here, that means there is a lot of people who want text chat, but don't come here to say it, and for their sake, I'm glad that some people are holding hard to this.
I'm sure if they did a world wide poll on the consoles and asked everybody before entering the game to answer the poll the majority would say yes for Damage numbers etc... and Text Chat.
I honestly don't know why people think having less options even on Consoles is a bad thing.
Destiny had no Option to turn music on and off this is how Obnoxious it's gotten. IT NEEDS TO STOP.
Just because I like the convenience and affordability of consoles doesn't mean you should take away these options and design choices that work well on both platforms. It's like they're treating the Console Base as idiots who don't even know how to use a KB.

Every game that has a Chat box has the ability to hide it... This just tells me you are not a MMO gamer and only used to single player console games... Which is the problem... New people to this actually don't know whats good for them or what they are missing out on.

Or maybe you are new to console and have no idea that almost every console game that supports multiplayer does so with voice chat only.

How is it inferior? By all accounts this game plays better on console then it has on PC.

Not every console game that supports multiplayer does so with voice chat only, and definably 99.9% of mmos use text chat on consoles.
