We've already done it. Our EU guild has made World 1st SO HM in 1.5.8 late January 2015.Now it's NA turn to make next World 1st HM trial.
I don't see any point in vDSA at all but gold farm for gold rings of Healer and Footman for weekly.
Using World 1st's as a status of being better, hoo that's pretty good. Don't get me wrong, HM SO pre 1.6 is truly impressive, but saying you were the first group to get 9 DKs in a group for a trial and equating that to betterment is laughable. EU has one thing over NA, and that's organization of trials with solid leadership and players with alike mindsets. NA has constantly suffered from a lack of unity and overall stinginess when it comes to discussing strats and whatnot. But that's changing slowly, if you've been paying attention to NA trial boards we're slowly working on fixing the problems that have plagued us for so long. NA is filled with a lot of great players, and quite frankly, some of the best in the world. They just aren't unified. In 4 mans it's less prevalent since it only requires 1/3rd of the players to come together, as we've proven with vDSA.

Dude, what. World 1st is the epitome of competitions. It sounds like you are trying to undermine that - which is just nonsense.
If you truly want to be competitive it is important to acknowledge the feats of your opponent.
What you say about EU is true (can't talk for NA) that we had good leadership and the mindset to do it. But you cannot just apply that to randomness - this has to be acknowledged as a feat of its own as well.
I hope for greater unification in the NA for the sake of competition. I think you guys are doing an excellent job - both sides are.
We can't help CP, it's there and you can't help it ours sky rocketed when we grinded new characters up though.Sadly we can not go in again before Sunday. But then We'll hit 12,3k! Stay tuned.
Our CP is
Tank: ~330
DD: ~300
Healer ~280
DD2: no idea gotta go ask him again but he's the highest of us.
@EgoRush@Nifty2g what is your team composition if you don't mind me asking? I've assumed you're the healer? I want to know who my healer competition is :P and by the looks of the latest score you've taken on a stamina Templar? All stamina team like ours (except healer)?
@EgoRush
Yeah I'm the healer, our other dps is a stam nightblade and a stam templar
HEAL-OFF. My breath of life crits for 50k.

Nightblades are amazing to have in your group, I see they aren't used mostly in EU?

This is where I disagree. I am in no way devaluing the impressiveness of a World 1st achievement, for they are extremely monumental and should instill pride in those who have the ability to achieve them. However, I do not find them as a suitable, "we're better than you" badge that proves x is more skilled than y. World 1st's are reserved for those who meet a plethora of checklists, and are not necessarily skill bound. Having a strong guild with core members who are willing to raid long hours and multiple times a week is vital to obtaining them, as well as what time they raid, and how dedicated they are. Just because one group has this over another, does not mean that all of the members of the world first team are by default, more skilled players than those in the other group. Say you have two groups of equally skilled players in their respective roles. X guild raids at 5pm twice a week, and Y guild raids at 7pm 2 times a week. Both guilds progress at equal rates, and develop similar and efficient strategies. Who gets world first?
Credit is due where its owned, and as history even shows, people who are first in line get their dues and are remembered. But those who take their findings and perfect them are remembered even more. We do not praise the original wheel man-kind had used, we praise the one that's been perfected to the letter.
