Dude, what. World 1st is the epitome of competitions. It sounds like you are trying to undermine that - which is just nonsense.
If you truly want to be competitive it is important to acknowledge the feats of your opponent.
What you say about EU is true (can't talk for NA) that we had good leadership and the mindset to do it. But you cannot just apply that to randomness - this has to be acknowledged as a feat of its own as well.

Hahaha damn you! That's so unfair! I actually felt bad for beating your score within 24 hour, then you go and beat ours again. Congrats guys, really!
Let's clarify a few things though:
1) Order of most CP: Beyond Infinity (EU), your NA team, Hodor team - I have least CP I think of all of our three teams :P
2) Buffs: I think only our team and your team have gotten these scores with zero buffs except us with offensive scroll bonus.
3) We did another run last night that was on track for 12.3K but wiped on last boss haha. Sunday is scheduled for the 12.3K score.
But yes, I'm scared of what Beyond Infinity will do now. 100 CP difference doesn't scare me, >300 CP difference does haha. Also I have a new healer build I'm going to test with high risk high reward

Having a strong guild with core members who are willing to raid long hours and multiple times a week is vital to obtaining them, as well as what time they raid, and how dedicated they are. Just because one group has this over another, does not mean that all of the members of the world first team are by default, more skilled players than those in the other group. Say you have two groups of equally skilled players in their respective roles. X guild raids at 5pm twice a week, and Y guild raids at 7pm 2 times a week. Both guilds progress at equal rates, and develop similar and efficient strategies. Who gets world first?
Credit is due where its owned, and as history even shows, people who are first in line get their dues and are remembered. But those who take their findings and perfect them are remembered even more. Yeah NBs are severely lacking love in PvE for EU. Our guild Hodor has no active NBs really but I've been pestering a lot for us to start including them considering how stamina-heavy our teams are lately. We need that weapon crit. So we have a couple of guys theorycrafting magicka/stamina NB builds now. I'm working on one too (level 3 whoop!).Server: EU Pact

Gilliam, I see the force behind your argument. It is true that there are a lot of variables taking into account. There is no doubt that we still praise the invention of the wheel although it was not perfect. It takes a certain kind of skill to develop and conquer areas without having perfecting the strategy by trial and error beforehand. Beating it world first - being the first to do it in the whole world - takes more than just the timing of the day, as you mentioned yourself. It is about adapting and overcoming great difficulty quickly and efficiently, that takes skill in my opinion.
The leaderboard perfecting, for me, should be seen as the logical next step. We invented the wheel now we are perfecting, tweaking and min/maxing the efficiency. How do we make it smoother, roll faster, become more aerodynamic?
The analogy is getting out of hand, but you get my point.
What I am coming to a conclusion of, is that they are not comparable when measuring the skill of the players since it is two different scenarios.
