I think it should be shared to characters on the same account based on faction. (For traitors and spies)
I do not feel the same way about lorebooks due to it leveling the mage guild and people abusing meteor.
And it would not make as big a difference as champion points do to new players.

Champion points are a time sink meant to need years. So account wide is OK for me. Skyshards can be collected in a day, so there is no need to share them. Also I don't want level 1 chars with 100 skill points from start.
A lvl one char will 100 skill points is your problem? Please tell me how many skill points the level can apply to his skills at level 1? You need to level your skills before you can put the points on them.
Go away with the stupid straw man arguments please.
I can level all crafts in one day on a lvl 1 if I had the skill points, ill just use my main char to craft the needed gear/armor for decon and such. After that with a couple days of leveling to lvl 50 I would have all I need to fill all my passives and 4 weapon types with just grinding mobs.
So yeah NO to shared skill points, it easy lacy play wanting this
Coming from a MMO where I never had to fight a single mob to level up crafting I don't see the harm in it.
All the toon can do is craft. He could never go out into the wild to collect mats. So if you wanted to collect mats to you would have to have another high level toon with skills in crafting to spot the mats easily.
thats just the crafting part, the gear/armors/passives would all be unlocked at lvl 50 with 2 days of grinding, thats lacy play and beats the purpous of a mmo game where its a marathon and not a sprint, its not like a single player game
How are you getting to lvl 50 if your not going out and killing stuff? You don't get level xp from crafting do you?
read what im writting m8, I wrote I could just grind = standing at one spot killing trash mobs, that takes 2 days to lvl to lvl 50, and thats without having to run around getting the skyshards.
So stop being lacy and do the content
Right I get you now
Nope you would still have to move around to diffrent zones to continue to get xp. Once you out level a zone you don't get xp any more.
I know, IT STILL TAKES ONLY TWO DAYS !!!!!! go play single player games instead of u cant take that you have to play the content to get what u need....
Collecting the shards in one zone once you enter takes 20min tops so it would still only take 2DAYS. I am failing to see your point.

With that comes lots of problems, like you being godlike in pvp, and what ever else

This would not make you godlike. You would just be able to set up skill bars to be on par with 30+
This post is mainly about pvp.
In other MMOs it takes about an hour to prep a new character for pvp. Not days.

Hey! Do not blame 'casuals' we actually like playing the game.
This is about the wannabe-l33ts who expect to be running SO hard mode out of the box and now the class-x has the better skills they expect to be able to buy a cookie build without playing through on it first.

Yes I would because I would still be trying to unlock more passives by playing my main.DaveMoeDee wrote: »I agree with this. The current system discourages developing alts through levels 1-50.
You would not say that if you had just applied 105 CPs to an L6 Mule and turned them into a killing machine. The current system as it is not only encourages you to make an alt, it makes it ultra easy mode to play that alt.
That's not how I feel at all.
The game feels like it's trying to push every mechanic down your throat, the game doesn't allow you to skimp on 'optional' skyshards, skill trees, because you end up gimping yourself fairly quickly. If I only had to complete all that stuff on my main character alone, I could appreciate it so much more. But any alt I make, I have to revisit everything I've already done, and that sucks.
I agree - a lot of the boring parts like lore book hunting, sky shard hunting and things like this stop people playing alts.
