    Oblivion
Didn't start PC gaming until around 2006, was a console player for 15 years before that.

Oblivion came out in the same year, and looked pretty cool, so I went out and got myself a brand new video card (8800gt!) and was hooked.

The rest is a blur of mods and playtime.

    Daggerfall
I used to like Betrayal At Krondor ALOT! until i learned about TES2 Daggerfall which probably became the best MSDOS game i ever played.. (well Doom is, TES2 is 2nd)

then a few years later my friend got some freebie games CD's as part of an ASUS video card / mainboard package, so he gave me the games for free.. one of them included the full version of Morrowind which i played day and night, went everywhere from Telvanni Towers, to Ibar-Dad, to Aundae Vampire hideout to saving the world and becoming the Nerevarine.. things got so much better because there was a huge modding community making the game better and better

Skyrim is a masterpiece.. i'd say its way better than ESO by far

You know what I find interesting, at least about myself? The music has always been a big part of my enjoyment but when the main theme starts running through my head it is the way it sounded in Morrowind. When I get flashes of scenes or game play in my head it is almost always something from Morrowind. I just loved the whole weird alien landscape and critters. It disappoints me quite a bit that food and creatures have gotten so ordinary. I want a freaky looking bonelord or hunger to chase me. I want a guar to walk up behind me and try to gum me to death (they were never very threatening).

Yes exactly, was trying to describe it in my post. Morrowind is just very very unusual but in a good way, very very good way.
Just like how Quake 1 is for FPS games, who'd heck think of that, but its awesome. You don't really see anymore fiends, shamblers, orges, vores, etc in Quake 1 that you see in other games. Just like how Morrowind was with its beastiry. Like Cliff racers, Daguths, guar, kaguti, bonelords, etc.

If they do make another Elder Scrolls game, Elder Scrolls 6...
I really... REALLY hope its geared towards Morrowind theme, and not a continuation off of the Oblivion to Skyrim theme. Oblivion and Skyrim do feel very similar, very different from Morrowind.

Like I said before and I'll say it again... PLEASE PLEASE follow the right model. Bring back the Morrowind type feeling.
This is how Quake went out of business. Followed the wrong theme/model. Followed Quake2 theme.

I haven't played Arena or Daggerfall, but I feel as though its completely different than Morrowind and Oblivion/Skyrim.
Like an old old school type game. Morrowind was the first game I can remember that came out with something just like how it is, huge rpg sandbox, with abilities to do all the crazy stuff it does (make people jump 1000 feet, all those funky spells, run super fast that your floating in the air, so much you could do in Morrowind, than Oblivion came along and took out a lot of that fun, and Skyrim to me is just an Oblivion V2) and in 3d with great graphics.

I think what killed it for me in Oblivion was getting rid of Slit Striders in Morrowind and having you instant port pretty much anywhere. I feel that instant port was next generation gaming because pretty much every game does that. That and getting rid of all those funky spells, like jumping super high run super fast, theres more but I cannot remember. Also the instance cities. I hate instant cities what made Morrowind fun for me was gathering bunch of mobs and running into the city and watching the guards go HAM!!! Instances is another next generation gaming too, pretty much every game has there cities instanced... But Morrowind didn't and it felt real. The game was just so real, it was great. Morrowind, awesome game.

Games that are too serious are just no fun. Like cant attack guards. Cant bring mobs into city. Cant make wacko spells to make you run so fast you floating in air. Or get your acrobatic skills so good you just do crazy leaps all over the game. Games that are NOT so serious are the fun games. You don't see the putting out a patch making your leaps more normal. They intended it to be fun. The only fun they took out of it was something with the pickpocketing or killing NPCs. They didn't fix the alchemy cheat either. Games that have cheats in them are fun. LOOK AT GTA 3, full of cheats, so much fun at that time. Like Grand Theft Auto games, always got cheats in them. Civilization II had cheats in them. That's why I really love Morrowind, its just a crazy fun MASSIVE game.

Playing this game, The Elder Scrolls Online, one thing that bugs me is that Molag Bal is like the main boss, or so it seems. In Morrowind, Molag Bal was pretty much just a peasant daedric lord, just like Mehrunes Dagon and all the other lords... Just some other lord. Oblivion I never beat so I cant say, but Molag Bal in that game seemed like just another daedric lord, nothing special. Same with Skyrim. It bugs me how this game makes Molag Bal seem like some badass, but since I've played the series and know some lore, just thinking about Molag Bal as end boss, just doesn't excite me. Because Morrowind Dagoth Ur trumps Molag Bal, Skyrim, the dragon trumps Molag Bal. I would've went with some unknown badass boss instead of one of the Daedric Lords.
But serious, I laugh at Molag Bal being end boss, I'm like, serious he's the boss? He aint nothing compared to Dagoth Ur, or Ald'uin.

    Hello guys, including @ZOS_AlanG ,

For some reason I only came to know the TES franchise with Skyrim.

However the more I read about the TES lore, the more videos about it I watch on Youtube, the more I'd like to be able to play the old games.

I know LucasArts some years ago would update and make into Windows compatible software, their line of Star Wars related spaceship games.

Is there a way to have something like that with all the TES titles? A bundle of all games, made to work with Windows 7? I don't care to have updated graphics, just to play.

Not sure if anyone has told you, but from the Bethesda site, there is a way to download the first two titles for free, I think.

I put Daggerfall, since that's the first one I actually played. I had Arena, but due to an issue where Arena needed expanded memory, and I had extended memory, or vice versa, it refused to play and I never found a solution. Well, until a few months ago, when I downloaded it and used DosBox to run it, but I didn't get very far.

I still haven't played Redguard, and will likely never touch any of the mobile games.

I consider it existing in a separate universe. That's the only way I managed to overlook it's inherent flaws and un-ES ness and give it a second chance. You'll not convince me it deserves it's place among the other great SP games (a view shared with many, many people, I might add). Maybe one day, but it has a looooooooooooooong ways to go yet before it earns that place.

I say Morrowind although Oblivion was my first ever computer game because I soon learned that Morrowind came before it
    and bought that to play.
I will never forget the moment I came out of the sewers in Oblivion to the breathlessly beautiful world.
I still laugh at myself for having to load back because I didn't know how to stand up when I sat down for the first time.
I also remember fondly the encouragement and support from the forums when I was ready to give up on Morrowind because I thought I was rubbish at the game and couldn't hit an enemy.
They were right, it got better, and I went on to play an amazing and complicated, satisfying game.

Sure, this game is different, but I love it too, warts and all.

You'd be playing Fallout right now had it not been for Bethesda's finest creation ever.

No other game brought people to the series the way this one did and many tried to match it, but failed.

TES III arguably set the standard for open world than many games now still can't live up to.

Still has replay value to this day.

At the moment I think we can reach a very positive finding by the participation of all of you, is fundamental to the success of TESO TU which ZOS be faithful to the style of his predecessors.

The community is showing that it takes time following the story of Elder Scrolls, and that this forge unforgettable moments in their lives in terms of gameplay, fun and entertainment.

TESO TU is new and has all road ahead, if ZOS finds a way to keep alive the flame generated long ago in his followers it is clear that in the future we will be part of the best MMORPG ever developed in the history of video games.

Many things can happen, but they will always have the support of a base of players whose only desire is to this project grows day by day and who are willing to be present in good and bad times.

ZOS, just remember, keep the flame alive in the hearts of your followers and do not let the winds of change consume it.

Technically, I started with Daggerfall. I got it when I was a kid, when it came out, and it was way over my head. I couldn't figure out what I was supposed to do besides run around towns fighting the guards, stealing, and getting thrown in jail.

I spent the next few years not paying any attention to PC gaming as I discovered alcohol, weed, and girls; so I missed Morrowind entirely. Many more years later, I saw a bargain bin copy of Oblivion: game of the year edition at Gamestop and decided I'd try it out. That one I played the hell out of and I even understood what to do this time.

After playing Skyrim, I attempted to go backward to experience Morrowind since everyone and their mother claims it is so incredible, but I couldn't wade through the old graphics and gameplay. It didn't age well. I made several attempts at starting a new game, but it's difficult to go back to a game where you have to read everything when all games are voiced nowadays.

Maybe I'll give it another shot one day when I'm not so lazy.
