    @ZOS_AlanG

In my opinion everything is way too small (text, links, etc.) and makes it difficult to read. Additionally, the new contrast seems a lot brighter now in a negative way (way too bright!)

Not liking these changings at all, I'm actually starting to feel nauseous from just being on the forums. :(

    This is horrible for me.

And I was so close to 500 LOLs...

The new layout needs some getting used to and seems ok, but for signatures. I find them kinda irritating and interfering with the discussion, since they're multiple lines of the same or very similar font. So I'd like to see them more limited in size and in a different font and color.

And I cannot seem to find 'participated'. Since it's just that and 'recent' I mainly used for my forum visits, 'participated' missing has a rather large impact on my experience. If it's still there, point me to it, if not, bring it back ASAP, please!

Putting "Participated" under the Account gear at the top is less convenient than before, given a new need for the view since it is now the way to tell if an interesting thread has new comments.

    Summary of my issues:

    1. Font too small
    2. Missing number of new comments since last read in thread list
    3. Missing category in thread list
    4. "Participated" should be on the bar, not under account options
    5. Moderator green text should be changed to black
    6. (Nit) The "tool tip" for "Insightful", "Agree", and "Awesome" is ... "Insightful", "Agree", and "Awesome". Why bother with a tool tip if it just repeats the text we can already see? Make them more tool tip-ish.
    7. Inconsistent editing buttons. If you are going to make the first button when creating a message be "Post Reply", don't make the first button when editing a reply "Cancel". The "Ok/Next/Save/Continue" button should always be in the same relative place.

Nice update, in many ways a major improvement.

However, like many others I would prefer to see a larger font (or options for font selection), green text for the ZOS name only (not the text of the post), and language separation for the Dev Tracker - at present it's overly cluttered and a nightmare to pick out the English posts especially with the small font.

Must have been a long day for some of you at ZOS. I'm guessing a huge conversion effort that seems to have been executed without issue. Someone up there needs a gold star for just the effort alone.

    - UI is more snappy.
    - I do get less info on my screen at once, which slows me down. but I'm over it.
    - Still no custom avatars?

    Thanks

What happened to the new posts notification in threads? It was quite handy seeing that and now there's no differential and no "read all" or "mark all read" option (that I can see).

3 Things I've noticed, aside from the change in layout that'll take some getting used to.

    1. I can't seem to edit my signature since it keeps saying that I can't add images, even when I'm only deleting text (want to get rid of that (*) since it isn't a star anymore)

    2. I liked the old system for showing new post in threads I've already looked at. The yellow box showing the number of new post was nice to use to keep up to date on these threads and acted as a way for me to know what threads I've already opened, but now it seems there is no way to know since both new threads and old ones look the same.

    3. Can't edit first post, and I was working on a post trying to collect as many ideas as possible into one organized location. Without post editing I can't add to that list, unless there is some long work around.

The only thing I'm missing is the "Edit" option for posts. Sometimes I make a grammatical error or want to update for new information (especially if it's a topic I posted). If there's a way to bring that back, it would be much appreciated.

Otherwise, I love the new layout.

Click on the gear icon next to your post number, there's an Edit option. I'm not sure if it works for discussions you started, CP5 above mentioned it doesn't.

Unless I'm being blind (which is possible) or if its hidden in one of the account tabs there doesn't seem to be a way to edit op's. Still looking around to see if its even an option.

Posting images unintentionally posts them twice. In the old forums, you'd have a small image icon showing the image's original name. Now these images are half size, or some sort. So now it shows the uploaded image and the full large thumb of that same image. Possibly for the user and moderators only, but still, if we can do with the earlier small thumbs that would be nice.

Example link to one of my posts with images

The buttons were missing from my page as well. However, I realized that when I clicked the link I was no longer logged in. Once I logged in, the options to respond was available.

Why remove the LOL? Now if someone says something funny, I have to quote and key (lol) so they know I found the joke funny and everyone who doesn't care about jokes have to read or skip my post which adds to the clutter. LOL, laughing out loud, is a good thing.

The font is too small. I have a large screen and still feel like I reading the "fine print."

The edit button is available for me and seems to work as expected. :) I would like to see a preview button somewhere. If I am using an Emote or placing a link or image, I would like to see how it looks before posting it.

Mod text beyond the name should not be green. The color and contrast are pretty terrible choices between the foreground and background. Starting to see a trend with UI.

Perhaps a headliner at the top of the post would be a better marker for the moderators. A user can still notice that the post was made by an ESO employee without seeing ghost script on the screen afterward.

I miss the "Mark All Messages as Read" button.
As we’ve removed the sidebar to give more space to the forums themselves, a number of menu items had to be relocated. They can be found on the far right of the top menu bar – click the gear, and there’s a drop down menu.

We couldn’t put all popular options on the top menu bar itself due to size constraints. Some people may have a lot of extra room up there, but there are allowances for longer names as well as German/French translations.

Would be nice if we could sort dev tracker by language and newest to oldest.
This is something we looked at, but any language separation or signifier was going to result in a delay before content appeared in the Dev Tracker. While it would make the Dev Tracker easier to read, we felt it was more important that this to be as current as possible. There was also a lot of support for keeping the Dev Tracker current when we discussed it in the previous overhaul thread.
And Guild Recruitment is gone. Now it's EU - PC/Mac and NA - PC/Mac. IMO a little misleading,
    Leijona wrote: »
With the changes, why haven't you included a guild recruitment forum for PS4 and one for Xbox One?
Guild Recruitment has been reconfigured to focus on what megaserver guilds are on, rather than gameplay focus. In addition to being simpler, particularly for guilds that aren’t focused on one playstyle, it gives us room to expand this section for consoles. Look for Xbox and PS guild forums here closer to console release.

Dev tracker is a huge improvement.
For me, the Dev Tracker seems absolutely nerfed into Oblivion. One of the first 20 dev responses is a thread to "Patch v1.2.3 Known Issues". If that's a recent dev response... I don't even know how you're supposed to track recent updates/discussion.

EDIT: Saw in another comment there are supposed to be previews, but I can not get any previews to show, nor find any way to actually see the dev response (even though all the dev responses are months old).

EDIT 2: Posts seem to have double edit messages. "Edited by Preyfar on February 19, 2015 11:03AM" and "Post edited by Preyfar at 11:03AM"

Generally I adore the new design. The new structure is even better and it is easy to navigate.

The quick toolbar at the top is good, I like that as well.

I think the green text is too bright and the general font might be just 1 too small for my taste.

Previously the Dev Tracker contained the entire post, which was problematic for really large posts like patch notes. The new Dev Tracker contains the first ~line of text (in green) to give you a preview of what the post is about.

Threads had to be moved manually, which generally meant reviewing thread subjects and moving as needed; quite a number of us worked on this. Many of the changes were straight-forward work, even if there was a lot of it. For example, sorting guild threads by megaserver, or sorting PvP campaign threads, just involved looking for keywords. Some content was more difficult, like dissolving PvE general and moving content in its proper home. While it was a lot of work, we wanted to make sure we got the ball rolling with the new structure.

Really liking it so far :) Only issue is the font in the post body - it's not too small, just too narrow. Not impossible to read, but definitely unintuitive.

This is a huge and very welcome improvement.

[edit] The gear edit button is also a unintuitive (thought I obviously found it). Since the Insightful/agree/awesome buttons have text, I feel like the Edit button should, too? The location also threw me off, since it's usually located at the bottom of the post rather than in the top corner.

[edit2] The edit text shows up twice?
