I agree. Considering that they have a different background from the rest of us, the green seems redundant, in addition to having less contrast.

P.S. - Someone reversed the order of the "Preview", "Save Draft", "Post Reply" buttons.

After deleting the "lol" button, we need a new replacement for "disagree"
So why don't give us a real "disagree" button?

I find the font is much smaller and difficult to read and I am usually the guy who laughs at other people for saying that.

It is possible that the cause is my resolution (2560X1600) which makes *all* text small. I just find this text, when small, is difficult to read and browsing the forums is now somewhat uncomfortable for me.

I like the bookmark option and quick links to notifications and dev tracker. The general font is just not good to me. The font used on the "Post Reply, Save Draft, Preview" buttons is much more pleasing to the eye.

Also I don't see the option to agree, lol or anything to another post other than quote and report.

Agreed on the green text, that's kinda hard to read. Love the new format though.

The new layout seems to be easier for the eyes, mine at least. That the LOL button is gone is a blessing, I felt it was abused too much to discredit other users and their opinions.

One thing however,

the bug with the (@) command is still there. If I address a post to someone specific like @ZOS_GinaBruno then hitting enter right after the name (not adding any further letters) removes the (@ZOS....) and leaves a blank space. To fix this I must write like I did now, a full sentence or a few words first before I can hit enter.

I cant do like

@...... --> hit enter,

"text would now continue".

Its not a big issue, but I would prefer having the @.... in a separate line, like with a letter. I am using the IE 11

I disagree.
I like mod text all in green. It make it more easily and quickly recognize/identify, especially when there is a long post. I don't have to try to look for the name. I just only need see the green text and I can quickly identify a need to pay attention.

I agree. The font is a bit small. I'm not changing my settings for one website tho

Oddly insightful, Agree, and Awesome are now visible to me. I'm not sure if you fixed something but they definitely weren't there a few minutes ago.

Did you notice they have a darker background with a hint of a "Z" in it?

The Google+ Announcement that the ESO Forums Maintenance was complete includes a link to this discussion. However it also says to come here to see the Introductory Video (apparently of the Forums Revamp).

I don't find a video link in this thread or on the ElderScrollsOnline site, and a Forums search returned no relevant hits.

If there is a video, please post a link here. If not, ZOS should edit the official Google+ post to remove the reference to an Introductory video.

Whew! I'm so glad I got my 500 LOLs badge yesterday! LOL

So far, I'm liking the changes. Very OPEN feeling. I do agree with the LOL removal. I never knew how to use it and sometimes had NO idea how to interpret the LOLs I received.

That wasn't instantly obvious, but the green text was. There is less contrast, but the shades are not sufficiently similar to me to prevent easy reading... whereas the green text is obvious and draws the eye to the dev/mod posts that are made. I actually like this.

I also like the "Participated" option which I don't remember seeing before. Apologies if it was and I just didn't see it.

Regarding the video mentioned in some of our social messages, that note was accidentally left in. A video is planned, but we decided to wait until after the overhaul was launched so we could include shots of an active and populated environment rather than simulate it.

Looks great, but as few others have said, the font is too small for this narrow type to read comfortably. Would love to see an option for one or two larger sizes.

I must say the rework is very nice. But i have some stuff that could use some small changes.

The font is a tad hard to see even tho its on a brighter background perhaps just increase the size a little.

When you quote someone the color is to dark for its size needs to be changed and color.

Will take some some getting use to the new layout but the wait was worth the it and i'm sure with some tweaks it will be perfect.

If i think of other stuff ill add them later.

Once again good job on the new look.

Agree with others that the font is too small. Also feel like the line spacing (leading) is too open. Whitespace is nice, but too much of a good thing....

Also perhaps a darker color for mod posts? Contrast makes reading easier.

I just noticed that the Category is no longer displayed in the Recent Discussions thread list.

I know that I can hide categories, and I assume they did not show up in Recent Discussions when I do that, but I find that I still use that information when evaluating a thread title.

Font is too small on my screen at least, for reference this is how it looks:



Note the size of the signature text and how some characters seem to have extra pixels. In comparison to the text shown when I right click the forum font is jaggy and the color contrast does not help.

Edit: Make sure to click the image since the one shown on the forum has been resized.

I actually think it's harder to read. Font is way smaller and the icons are too small to really see what they are.

I liked the old layout better, the structure not so much, but the overall readability was better.

I like the how the new forum looks. It does have a more updated look, and not so clunky looking as it was before.

I'm also glad the LOL is gone, it was being harshly abused mostly by people who simply didn't agree with you and as an insult. It was a hardly ever used legitimately.

One more comment.

The forum no longer tells me how many new comments have been added to the topics that I read. It tells me that there are new comments with the darker vs lighter title text, but does not indicate whether I have read the thread previously or how many new comments there are.
