Good riddance...
I once joined a group for grinding Rkundzelft in the hope of combining it with hunting for Dwemer motifs... When they discovered I wasn't playing a Dragonknight (apparently that seems to be an unofficial prerequisite) and also wanted to loot Dwemer urns, I was immideately kicked from the group...

Seriously? You can't understand why people hate people who level out faster than the game intended? You can't understand how frustrating it is to watch people essentially cheating pass you by in levels? That's some serious myopathy my friend.

This is a BAD decision. Why to nef rundk?
I DONT WANT TO DO QUESTS. I wanna WAIT to continue questing until champion system comes out. SO, this is the way zos wants to keeps us subbed?
I'm NOT a casual player. I'm just another random player getting mad because of ZOS decisions. So, what do do know until CP comes out?? Do the same quests over and over again with other alts???

Oh now I have heard everything. So do it like you want to or go pack sand?
Has it not occurred to you that most of us *have already done all the dang quests??* I mean at least 20+ people have said so on this thread alone.
Why doesn't the same argument apply to you? Stop being all into every little quest and grind to catch up!
Can't *you* understand how frustrating it is to watch someone repeatedly bash their head against a wall when they could just use the door?
Myopathy indeed. Friend.
Do the quest and level up that was as the game was made and stop til endless grinding. think its all fine they do that.
So you are saying that YOUR PLAY STYLE is better then my play style?
They are many different play styles in the game. One style is NOT better or worse then the other style.
Some play styles may include:
1) Questing
2) PVP
3) Raids / Dungeon crawling
4) Grinding
5) Etc Etc
One does not have to like all the play styles, but one should respect other people's play style.

I've seen all the comments from those claiming to have already done the content and frankly, I haven't disagreed with it. As far as leveling alts goes, I think they should allow those who have leveled once already to have a Free Leveled Toon for each long way around leveled toon they make. Would that make you happy? I'm betting it would. Many games do give free max level alts or some kind of level boost to those who have already made one max level character. Free boosts like that to alts have been around as far back as DAoC with their Free level 20's!
No myopathy here friend. I have an open mind to your plight but am not sympathetic at all to anyone who grinds their first toon past someone who is learning their characters by facing all the different situations thrown at them via questing and learning tactical methodologies to get past the tough bosses and quests and doing it 10 times faster. Those who are "Grinding" aren't learning skills or tactics taking out the same trash mobs over and over and over adnauseum and they are some of the worst end game players I've had the misfortune to come across!

Yes. Obviously I can't play since I grinded instead of questing, I have to tell my guild I need to stop doing SO, hard modes and speedruns as you're here telling me that I'm a bad player. Thanks for letting me know!!
/sarcasm off
The things that people try to use to justify their playstyle being better than someone elses. I am pretty sure I learned endgame mechanics by constantly doing endgame mechanics, not by effing solo questing (afk-facerolling mobs that practically suicide themselves). Most grinds have even been a better learning experience than questing (a.k.a picking flowers for NPCs).

Um, You're writing to someone who experienced Doshia and Manimarco and Molag Bal, BEFORE they were nerfed to faceroll easy. We had to actually figure out the required skills needed for these major Main Story encounters. Obviously not everyone who has gotten to end game hasn't learned the skills and tactics necessary if they're doing trials and such, but I'm talking about end game PvP players I've encountered.
Most appear to be grinders who are complete rubbish because they don't know a thing about tactics or how to do anything beyond spamming 1 or 2 skills the whole day long. So /sarcasm and whatever, there are exceptions to every rule, but stereotypes like the one you're blaming me for exist because there are massive amounts of players who fit them.

Oh well yes. Learn your class fgs. Other than that, though - level as you see fit.
I am also not into the whole 'I played my char a week why can't I come to SO with you, ya gd elitists??!' Thing either.

Idk, I mat gather in Crag almost daily and belong to a trader there. I can say my own experience is that chat picked up 1000 fold, even if 80% was "LF Grind partner" from the way it was once they killed the multi-boss and Shadow grinds. And my sales which had dropped some when they killed previous grinds, were selling again within hours of listing (most).
I imagine it will quiet down again and sales will drop until the next one is found. But obviously, quite a few people would rather grind a few hours than run 2 whole more zones and still need more xp to cap.

my point is, people say they dont wanna repeat the same quest over and over again, and yet they will kill the same boss 1000 times instead.
and the reason behind they dont want to do quests its the same, well killing the same boss 1000 times is the same too
just a big flaw in their reason behind it, but hey still they can do what ever the game trows at them, idc.
just think its funny that argument and reason behind it.

That's because grinding never took 280 hours. I would not play this game if it took 280 hours to get to content that is enjoyable for me. However 20 hours of grinding, in order to do what I wanted was OK. Of course I'd have gladly reduced that time anyway.. but you get my point. There is basically a limit where spending your free time (and money) on a boring activity to get to a fun activity is no longer worth it.

thats a whole lot better way of saying it, so its not because its repeatable content, its time consuming vs faster grinds

The word some is not there. You are literally talking about those who are grinding, so get your wording straight before you try to make a point about what exactly you said.
Although I hear you can level up your arguments by questing nowadays.

Yeah, at least for me it is. I don't have a lot of free time nowadays so I have to decide what to spend that time on, 200 hours of leveling (through whatever means) just isn't one of those things. I believe this is the concern for many regarding this grinding nerf.
Fortunately I have more than one VR character and so I'm capped at my 70 CP's. But what about those who want to get up to at least the CP cap before 1.6 goes live and doesn't want to miss out on the opprotunity of future points? The easiest way to do that is by grinding.
I'm not the biggest fan of grinding myself and consider it extremely boring. However, ZOS is the one who put the CP system in place and we are just trying to find ways for our future characters to be prepared for it.
Omg guys are you serious? Did they really nerf it ?
I'm just gonna cry right now. Got 5 V14, leveling my 6th on another alliance. Don't want to spend hours on that. Grinding is just too important, stop nerfing every nice Grinding spot in this game :c

You don't read very well do you. It's been right there the whole time regarding their skill levels. It's called reading IN CONTEXT. The second part is what clarifies the first. By ignoring it, you chose to include yourself in the portion of players that I called the worst when I said some are the worst and took offense. You failed to comprehend that the first part wasn't a stand alone absolute declaration of truth. Obviously, some doesn't mean all and some might be the best. I haven't had the good fortune to run across that group of some yet! You may or may not be in it. Judging by your reading comprehension, I have my doubts.Artemiisia wrote: »That's because grinding never took 280 hours. And there is the exact reason why grinding is repeatedly nerfed. The designers do not want you Maxing out in 20 hours. How hard is this to comprehend?Artemiisia wrote: »thats a whole lot better way of saying it, so its not because its repeatable content, its time consuming vs faster grinds

Unless they are brand new players, most of those who haven't made it to VR yet are probably the people who are enjoying actually taking their time and experiencing the journey. Brand New players shouldn't even be thinking they're going to get rewarded for time spent leveling if the time hasn't been spent! The very fact that Grinding is being nerfed at every turn should tell you and them that ZOS does NOT WANT TO REWARD GRINDING.

I'm not complaining, I just don't see how an instanced dungeon disrupts other players like the Scorpion grind did.
My point of this thread though: ESO has some really creative players, if someone finds a new awesome grind spot. Instead of sharing it in the forums or in zone, can we come up with a way to let players know WITHOUT letting ZOS know?
Tricky I know but "LFG VR GRIND" will only keep getting stuff nerfed.
They read the Reddit forums too. So open to ideas.

If that's true: So, we can't quest to reach vr 14 because we won't get credit for the xp if we're already at capped CP, grinding is yet again being nerfed, PVP is broke(and has nothing to do with *** deer to start with), it's like they want us all to unsub until after 1.6. Seriously, what a *** joke ZOS is.
