It was a really stupid decision to make a vet level need 10x the XP as a normal level.
Good riddance...
I once joined a group for grinding Rkundzelft in the hope of combining it with hunting for Dwemer motifs... When they discovered I wasn't playing a Dragonknight (apparently that seems to be an unofficial prerequisite) and also wanted to loot Dwemer urns, I was immideately kicked from the group...
This would be true IF you could reach VR14 by questing alone. Unfortunately ZoS didn't bother to think that far ahead and it's impossible to get all the way to VR14 only questing, you simply run out. Dungeon and PvP XP are being increased in 1.6, but until then both give absolutely garbage XP gain so they aren't a viable option either. That only leaves grinding for the final 2+ VR after all quests are exhausted, which MANY players hate and ZoS keeps nerfing grinding into the ground, good times. They spent millions on the voice acting, art and programming for the storyline and quests, and apparently they are going to make damn sure that you have no choice but to do it.
So, what do do know until CP comes out?? Do the same quests over and over again with other alts???

i still dont get why they nerf grind spots... should be one area for gold, one for exp, one for crafting materials of each kind... really if ppl wanna do this its up to them.
there was a cave where you could grind a lot of skin fast but it was nerfed, sad ppl is more spread out when there is more of this content all over.
agreed perfect point. ive been vr14 for awhile just came back from a break but this is the kind of control from devs i have a hard time tolerating. i should go cancel sub, pretty much set for 1.6 anywayswhiteshadow711jppreub18_ESO wrote: »So, what do do know until CP comes out?? I guess you could, but you wont get anything for it, namely Champion Points in the new system, and that you wont be able to do that quest in the future again on that character, since Cadwell's Silver and Gold Quests are Non-Repeatable.
I wont do any quests now unless they are repeatable..because that is just Future CP wasted that I wont get back.
That's why Grinding is important, and this Stealth Nerf of a Grinding place in Craglorn makes no sense.
ZOS pushes you towards doing the quests but the Majority of the quests are non repeatable..and if you do the non repeatable quests now on your character you will not get any further CP than the cap they are giving in the future (70 at VR14) and you wont be able to do those quests again in the future for Champion points..
So why Nerf Grinding?? They are cutting their own throat by doing this.. people will get angry and start complaining and might even cancel their sub until the Champion system comes to the live servers..
@ZOS Hey WAKE UP and Stop Nerfing our Grind spots unless you are going to give us more Champion points for completing our non-repeatable quests when you bring the Champion system online, which will not be on the live server for atleast another month or so ..

Because it ain't gonna be phased out yet, for like atleast another month... if not more, and I want to level my ALT Main Duplicate to VR14....
Cool. So play the game. I've never needed to grind on any of my characters, and they level just fine.
I swear to god if i have to quest through the ebonheart pact for a third time i'm gonna kill someone!

Isn't that right!? I did it 4.5 times. My sanity is long gone.
Although the quality of the media related to the quest is pretty good this is a really really linear game with almost 0 replayability when it comes to the storyline. Almost no branching and the few choices have pretty much no effect on absolutely anything. The only diversity is in the various way you can approach the end game mechanics. Without a fast way to get to that point the game will suffer.

Grinding is repeatedly performing an action/event to obtain something. Like XP.nerevarine1138 wrote: »Omg guys are you serious? Did they really nerf it ?
I'm just gonna cry right now. Got 5 V14, leveling my 6th on another alliance. Don't want to spend hours on that. Grinding is just too important, stop nerfing every nice Grinding spot in this game :c
Odds are they're preparing for 1.6. The idea is that everything should be equal, so they don't want grinding to yield more CP than any other in-game activity. Hopefully, it encourages people to actually play the game.

who like to grind the same dungeon over and over again, its like two sets of two evils if you look it like that.
I dont judge, people can do what ever the game gives them, now this grind is gone, find another
I just can't understand the hate for grinding.

Seriously? You can't understand why people hate people who level out faster than the game intended? You can't understand how frustrating it is to watch people essentially cheating pass you by in levels? That's some serious myopathy my friend.

Grinding is in no way cheating. It is an alternative to questing for those of us that have already quested through the entire game sometimes multiple times. Once they improve xp rewards for dungeons there will be another alternative.
I'm currently looking to grind a second nightblade, this one being on the faction that I play end game on. Am I a cheat because I don't need or want to quest through it again?

While it is not "Officially" considered cheating by ZOS, it is not how they want people to chew through the game or they wouldn't keep nerfing it now would they? They want people to all level at or about the same speed. It's called keeping longevity. If you guys haven't figured that out after all the nerfs, I'm sad for you.
Unless they make it such that you have a flat increase in level at all times no matter if online or offline this will never happen.People will have various amount of time played and various rates of advancement. i can bet that some people could pull up a Cadwell Gold in just one week from the start. Is playing 20h a day a cheat?SteveCampsOut wrote: »SteveCampsOut wrote: »I just can't understand the hate for grinding.

thisLongevity in a MMO is having a wide array of interesting stuff to do while you reached max level.
