I do see my fair share of pink and purple warriors, tbh.

Not that I ever cared that much if people want to run around looking like some sort of fruit.

I saw some Pink stuff when dyes first came out but rarely since. I do see Purple from time to time in the game, but it is always tastefully done and looks good. Not that I would use purple myself, but that is more because it is not a favorite color of mine.

I occasionaly see pink, and also some of the purple colour schemes are bad. I see tasteful purple colour schemes too though, and some of the pink is ok, not all of it, but some.

That's their business. If that's the look they want then so be it. You play your character your way and at the same time they have the right to play theirs their way.

No its everyone's business because we all have to claw our eyes out because of it.

Are there any technical reasons this isn't being done? Are swords and boards somehow differently structured (from a programming standpoint) than armor is?
What ESO really needs is an Auction Horse.

They did code weapons (including shields for some reason) differently from Armour. I don't know the details myself, but someone did say so in one of the threads about guild summits.

I waited to see if they would explain it here, but no.

Technical reasons are just challenges to be surmounted by Zeinimax's awesome coders. We want dyes on weapons and shields. Make it happen Zenimax

    Oh, I agree.

I want to dye my Shield to match my Armour, because you can get some amazing colour schemes, and and undyed Shield just Clashes.

I also want to dye my weapons, I want my Swords to look right, not necessarily in any colour, just some metallic themes (and black). Staffs and bows could have the full range though.

I have said this in several threads, even before we got the Armour dyes, and my opinion still hasn't changed.

I agree with weapon dyes. Some of the color palettes for the weapons range from purple to blue to green as they stand. It's weird. I'd like to be able to dye my weapons browns, grays, blacks, metallics, etc...

The need for weapon and shield dying wouldn't be that great if the crafted weapons and shields wouldn't look THAT bad in their original versions.

Here's something to think about.. Our Weapons currently are capable of showing effects when enchanted, Fire, Ice, Lightening etc... What would dyes do to this effect? Food for thought....

You are making an assumption about something you know nothing about. Applying a bit of logic, there are currently a wide variety of colors and dyes on armor that don't seem to affect weapon effects. It is likely that dyes on weapons would have no affect on weapon effects.

Currently, the color of the weapons have no effect on particle effects from weapon buffs.

I don't see why it would w/ dyes.

I made no assumptions. I don't think you even know what the word means! All I did was ask a simple question. As both a programmer and 3D Graphics designer I'd say you have absolutely ZERO idea of what I know.

You implied that dyes on weapons could break weapon effects with absolutely no basis in fact, therefore you were making an assumption with absolutely no direct knowledge (unless you are a Zenimax dev) of what you are talking about in terms of the code of ESO. If you are a Zenimax dev, please identify yourself as such.

We need dyes on weapons and shields Zenimax. Make it happen asap.

I support the coloring of shields but not swords.

When Dyes were coming out, in an interview Paul Sage said "You won't be able to dye your swords and shields, but you can dye your armor."

He was later asked "We know its not coming this patch, but in the future do you think we will see if we can dye swords and shields? It would be cool to have those match your armor"

Paul responded with "I could see where it would be needed with shields, and we will/have discussed it, but shields could come out at a future time. But for swords, I'm not much of a fan of people running around with hot pink swords..."
