You see what I'm saying? It's silly to think you can crouch and SNEAK around faster than you can SPRINT. It's clearly a bug. Get over it.
Your OPINION of what makes sense does not determine what is a bug. Its just your opinion.
True. It does however make it likely a bug. If ZoS agrees and fixes it, then that would confirm it being a bug.
Guess what...
And seriously, doesn't anybody else find it completely absurd that people are actually comparing sneak speed vs fastest possible horse speed? Who the heck cares that when you bring out the yardstick, sneak speed actually isn't faster. The fact that it's even in the same ballpark is absurd enough.
That's like some people saying skill X is overpowered because it one shots the final boss of the hardest trial. And everybody liking the skill defends it by saying "no it doesn't, it leaves 1hp left. You still have to hit it with a light attack".
The fact that it's faster than the slowest horse is silly.
The fact that it's faster than sprint is silly.
The fact that it's faster than run is silly.
The fact that people are defending it by saying it's not as fast as the fastest possible horse is absurd.
That said, sure. Have a set that increases movement speed by 30%. Fine. Have a vampire passive that reduces the sneaking penalty (possibly to 0). Fine. Having vampires sneak at the resulting 130% speed, which is the same speed they run at, fine.
Having vampires run at 100% speed, sprint at whatever speed (130%?) and sneak at 185% speed? Silly.

Some really bad arguments against. And I guarantee that if ZoS does eliminate that stack, half the PvP player base will be gone in a month over to some other MMO looking for relief from the NERF HERDING CHILDREN who play these games in spite of the FACT that this game, like AoC, Secret World, etc. Is rated mature by Tipper Gore's fascist ratings system. So what is the point in having a MATURE (17+ age) rating for a MMORPG when the fracking CHILDREN (including the adult variety) invade and try to turn every decent MMO out there into another idiot's dream of WOW.

No you totally missed my point. The comparison was made to show that people will continue to cry over trivial things. Bolt Escape is not OP and neither is the speed stacking. I never made any comparison as to how they function only in how people react to them.eventide03b14a_ESO wrote: »The same sort of crying we hear from sorcerers when people complain about Bolt Escape? I see more crying in here from the pro-sneak stacking folks.
People keep bringing BE up like it's the same thing.
They really aren't
I can't activate Magelight and stand on top of a sorc to stop them from Bolt Escaping.
I can't pop a potion of detection in the general zip code of a sorc to stop them from Bolt Escaping.
Stealth can be EASILY countered leaving the person at a dramatic disadvantage since they have no useful 5th armor set bonus for fighting.
Bolt Escape + Immovable has no realistic counter, and even if countered doesn't put the sorc at nearly ANY disadvantage besides just starting a fight short a couple hundred magicka.
I'm not saying that one deserves a nerf while the other doesn't. Balance, especially in this case, is relative. I'll I'm saying is that comparing the two isn't fair since stealth actually HAS counters.

I really think ZOS just needs to put a cap on sneak speed. It doesn't make sense to ever be able to sneak faster than you can sprint!
I think you're the one that made a big deal about. You created a thread just because you can't wrap your head around why a vampire would be able to move fast while in stealth. That doesn't mean the rest of us need to "get over it". You get over it.rophez_ESO wrote: »I would like to just say, for the record, that my original post really didn't have anything to do with PVP balance or a fear of Nightblades. If you are going to take this away you might as well take away infinite horse sprinting to go along with it. Bolt escape should also probably have a cooldown period before being used again. You should also cap maximum cost reduction from sets like Seducer with light armor passives. You should also probably stop Warlock + Seducer combination

You're using an enchanted armor set; magic can be used to explain lots of things; but hey, lets roll with this logic.
So a 2 trait "magic" armor set can make you travel super fast, but somehow the wizards haven't figured out how to make a "magic" armor set that can let you run fast openly? If the devs wanted you to have super speed, you really think they'd only give it to people that are sneaking? Does it really compute? It's a bug, bud.

Horses that have unlimited stamina. I'm sure that's working as intended though right? Not just sprint, it's actually faster than sprinting on a horse *with* Rapid Maneuver.rophez_ESO wrote: »So you think it makes sense to sneak faster and cheaper than you can sprint?

I 100% agree. In fact this is what playing ESO should look like.If you are going to take this away you might as well take away infinite horse sprinting to go along with it. So, the proper way to fix this is to make a swooshing batcloud animation. I'll agree with the horse bag and siege weapons. The rest isn't silly, it's classical fantasy and fits within the games logic. That said, I'll admit that sometimes for the sake of gameplay "silly" things are neccessary. (see horse, though one could argue you're just whistling for it and it comes running from stage left). Siege weapons in a bag though? Yeah, that sounds pretty dumb. I'd be perfectly fine if they changed 'em to seige weapon repair kits, letting you repair "broken down" siege weapons in Cyrodill that are located at pre-determined locations.

there are actually multiple clans of vampires with different abilities.
In Oblivion you could walk in the sun also, until you got to a certain stage. Then you became flammable.
I'd also like a explanation about how exactly being able to sneak fast outside of combat is OP.
I still use my horse in cyrodiil most of the time because it's faster. If I'm skulking around trying to catch people to gank, I don't get an unfair advantage when I engage, and I can't actually chase the mounted ones down. Come to think of it,that speed has not helped me gank anyone, I have teleport strike for that.
It's a lot of fun, and I will be very angry if it is removed, but I gain absolutely zero combat benefits from it.
For it to be OP< I would have to be getting an unfair advantage.
I am guessing you are a nightblade that doesn't want to be a vampire and resent the synergy. Well, vampires already sneak much faster than you will be able to as a non-vampire, and have been for some time. Plus, jealousy is a crappy excuse to cry for a nerf.
But I will take streak in trade quite happily. I could move even faster, stun people I am moving through, and actually port from place to place, all using 1 ability slot and that's it.

It's not about me being or not being vampire. It is about vampires having so powerfull abilities/synergies, that more than half the PvP total population are vampires.
If this is to continue, rename the game to Vampires online: Featuring WW's, mortals, and some old ES faces...

Congrats.
People can still block and cast spells simultaneously and horses can still sprint endlessly.
But at least they fixed something that wasn't broken, that was called "intended" originally and isn't nearly as *** as a dozen other incredibly specific builds. That'll fix the inevitable doom-spiral this game's caught in.
