To the posts about spending 300k and the one about the guy's friend having 1million gold worth of gear: Load of bull.
You/they are doing it wrong. You got scammed hard by whoever sold you the mats.
Edit:
If you do simple math, I stated I made 11 pieces. 7 pieces of armor, 2 Staves for my caster build and 2 swords for my tanking build because I was going to reuse 2 of the cloth pieces for my tanking set for bonuses.
Each piece of gear uses about 13 units of refined material, @ 5g/unit = 65g
Your trait stone, @25g/unit (infused/divines) = 25g
Your motif material, avg 100g if you are using a hard to find one = 100g
From Normal to Fine uses 2 greens @ 25g ea = 50g
From Fine to Superior uses 3 blues @ 100g ea = 300g
From Superior to Epic uses 4 purples @ 500g ea = 2000g
From Epic to Legendary uses 8 yellows @ 2500g ea = 20000g
Legendary Glyph = 5000g
Total for one piece = 27,540 if you do it yourself, this doesnt include cost for someone to craft it for you.
So 11 pieces is 302,940g at estimated prices and you will not always get materials at the same price and vary.
I would must rather craft myself gather the materials myself to get it put together by a trusted crafter for much lower cost in gold than what you're posting.

Come back in one year when youve gathered all the mats needed for 2-3 sets including armor, weapons and glyphs without spending any gold.
The prices hes mentioned are quite low.
Literally everyone disagrees with you and thinks you're lying.xsorusb14_ESO wrote: »I would must rather craft myself gather the materials myself to get it put together by a trusted crafter for much lower cost in gold than what you're posting.

Umm...I've made multiple sets, and the only legendaries i've ever bought were enchants (which I put on jewelry)
It doesn't take a year.
not even remotely close

How about we look at it this way: Magicka crit is insanely high. My NB dress & stick style has 60% crit. No legendaries, No pact staff/rings 10% bonus.
Now let's say I lose the 10% from twilights/willows but then replace it with more magicka and spell damage from the new sets. Win-win situation. Soft caps are going up on magicka -- you'll be able to gain more damage from having no overcharge until around 2400+ magicka. Granted, spell damage cap is going down -- but most of you are wearing non spell damage enchanted rings/neck anyway.
This isn't a big deal, you'll be more powerful after the changes.

gather all the mats yourself, it won't cost anything.

That isn't their issue as I hope they know that already. They just don't want to have to make new gear.
Did I say I was going to unsub? No. Please post constructively.Birfreben_Kinghelred wrote: »
But there is no balance for crit now. Weapon crit can get anywhere from 8% to 14% more than spell crit.I'm sorry, but the only thing I see here is a lot of nothing. They change was for a reason, and all the light robe, staff carrying, spell phew phewers OP builds will have to adjust now that the FOTM is over. Stamina builds were useless and now they are both about balance with the changes. All the rest of the crying about crafting materials and such? Please spare me, you all knew your OP build was not going to last and it won't take years for any of you to get the materials again..... The instant gratification on this thread is amazing.

People that dont complain about it are:
1. Players that use sets that wont be nerfed
2. Players that duped items early on and have tons of mats
3. Players that arent VR12 and havent wasted all their gold and materials
Having to get new gear when they up the level is fine, but crafting a VR12 set (max lvl) only to have it made useless the next day and beeing forced to grind materials and gold to craft new sets (still VR12) is not acceptable.
We saved up all our gold and materials while leveling up, only to instantly take that away.
Way to force people to buy gold from some site.
Gathering materials and gold at VR12 is NOT easy.
After VR12 ive lost more gold then ive gained due to repairs and deaths and no content to level in.

Why would it have been diufficult to make them equal, or at least not nerf the amount of crit spell casters have currently (while still increasing melee crit)?

The returns from deconstructing raw materials does not facility "easily" replacing all of the materials that would have went into creating legendary sets to fix the issue of now-useless crafted items.xsorusb14_ESO wrote: »
And yet...That still doesn't change the fact that I've not had to buy a single crafting material yet.
Its almost like I figured out how to mine/log/pick flowers
Medium armor has cost reductions, but that's besides the point. Crit has nothing to do with armor/spell penetration, cost reductions, and resource regeneration.Birfreben_Kinghelred wrote: »Because you have spell penetration and cost reductions. Magicka and stamina are supposed to be different. That's the point. Oh and then you have the resto staff which gives you infinite resources. Right.

Some builds rely on the frequency of crits. What do the light armor and staff users need to adjust to? A small reduction in damage from the loss of a few crit? I doubt it, the lost crit will probably be mostly or even wholly canceled out by the addition of spell damage and magicka bonuses.
