As for those that powergamed to vet12 to rock a resto stick and willows path/night mother skirts. (the only sets that are actually being nerfed, and not really because they just are used for something other than 70% crit crystal shards spam) I cant say I feel bad for you... Surely, you didn't think decking your max level character out in legendary gear 3 months after release was a good choice? did you?
You were intelligent enough to find the quickest way to max level. You were intelligent enough to farm all that gold for an entire set of legendary gear. You were intelligent enough to find the most powerful sets and armour combination. But you were just so naive the this very needed nerf...? BS m8.

We pay them. For once they should listen to their customers and cancel this. Best gear setups are going to be absolute useless. And if you wanna get new stuff, you just start again by zero. Sry, but i cant. This is too much..
Would be half way okay, if they hadnt nerfed the spots to farm some gold. Talking about Crows Wood or the one in Grahtwood as an example. They wanna implement such huge changes and on the other hand are taking away almost all possibilities to get good money to buy all the upgrade mats again. Its already hard to just get Rosin for under 6k. you need 8. So GG. Me and way more ppl i know and talked to will quit if it goes live like that.
You know, i couldnt care less if it would just be minor adjustments to the boni. But this is a complete mess. Zenimax, you will loose a good chunk of players with this. People are loosing trust in what your decisions are.

So far most of their changes nerfs/buffs have been reasonable meaning not game breaking but this to me is just flat out unacceptable.
The problem is that Zenimax has only responded to whiney dramatic posts so far. DK nerfs, Bolt Escape nerfs, stamina buffs, NB buffs, Templar buffs. They all come after a surge of whiney posts on the forums. We've been conditioned to whine because Zenimax only talks through balance changes with a few select guilds in private.OMG!! The end of the world is coming!!!
Seriously though, this IS bad. I myself would be out x64 legendary mats i used to make my endgame gear. But I DO digress. This "i am going to quit, and I spoke to my friends and they will too..." crap is kind of on the immature side. Do what you are doing, i.e. forums, express the loss economically you will suffer, and gather support, but DONT go down the whiney road. We can get together on this without all the hate speeches people. It is in fact NOT live yet, so CONSTRUCTIVELY petition for a better solution, leave out the dramatics....
I just reached VR12 the other day, and spent around 300k crafting 2 sets, and after 1.3 those sets will become totally useless for me.
OMG!! The end of the world is coming!!!

I'm sorry, 300k? You mean 300g ??? I'm not sure if you spent every crafting mat you ever collected on your road to VR12 but I saved everything knowing I would eventually replace ANY set once I got to VR12. Had all my green/blue/purp/gold mats ready for crafting (saved up from my quest to VR12) and had researched my armors/weapons that I knew I wanted to use. Still researching 8 trait, but I was able to craft all of my own VR12 gear for 0 gold, just needed the mats I already had.
I've definitely switched up my builds to try different things, and yea I've spent money because I couldn't craft things I wasn't considering so I bought some gear from crafters. But damn, 300k?
Ok - so regardless of the mistakes you made, you still have a valid point - what about the people who don't have oodles of money. I certainly do not have a lot (30k). What can you do? Here are a few things I'm doing
1. Creating a new char, power leveling through grinding. Collecting EVERYTHING, insta-selling and with a level 32 Templar I'm at 20k from straight selling (minimal researching). Certainly at VR12 new chars need money, but the grinding process definitely has good potential for making SOME money. If you don't have all the chars you want, if you want to try something new - definitely look into this. Gives you a chance to level a new char, try new stuff and make money.
2. Partake in PvP!!! I got robbed by Zeni because I never switched my home campaign to Wabba w/ my friends (was waiting for campaign wipes, didn't want to waste points) and got NO MONEY from partaking in PvP in a guest campaign. My friends got 40k!!! For their time spent in PvP! Per character!!! Like wow, so much money. I better get some good ca$h this round of campaigns.
3. Spend some dedicated time gathering mats, looking into every crate for rare books, etc... People are buying raw mats, buying crafting mats, provision mats, everything right now. Stop what you're doing and go find what they want to buy. Sure it's not 10k at a time (unless you get a book, you can insta-sell Imperial for 35-40k; if you're greedy wait for the right buyer and sell for 50k).
4. In addition to point #2 head into PvP and grind repeat quests. 300gold a pop you can accumulate gold and fast. Worried about getting ganked? You should be, I'd kill you if I saw you (for the Pact!) Go pick an empty campaign, or one where your faction is winning. A lot of people get $$$ from grinding PvP quests.
Don't like the word "grind" ??? I can't help with that, I'm just sharing my thoughts on how I'm making money right now when I need it. Good luck!

Powergame..it has taken me until yesterday to get to VR12.
That is extremly slow leveling.
All gold ive gotten, ive gotten from questing. Theres no reliable way to get alot of gold after VR12.
Sure, i can claw my eyes out motif farming.
Why shouldnt we craft epic/legendary gear? They arent thinking of upping level for a while (or atleast theyve said so)
Some of us want to see how strong we can get in PvP, or how much dmg we can do in PvE content.
Im not even a sorcerer so i dont have crystal shards.
This is the first mmo ive played, and ive played most of them, that has completly changed setbonuses.
Some of them have added bonuses, but not change them completly.
I would be fine with changes to willow and twilight if the new stats actually were any good for DPS magicka users, spell dmg isnt really that good either becouse weapon skills are weapon dmg.
How can you go from making a set a Magicka dps set wth spell crit, to a tank set with incomming healing and health?
This is categorically false. They were sets that provided spell crit and now they don't. That is completely changed.Birfreben_Kinghelred wrote: »There is not a single set that has been "completely changed." they all resemble what they were previously. Except maybe hist bark.

I don't see any relevant point if you're trying to make one.Birfreben_Kinghelred wrote: »Maverick827 wrote: »This is categorically false. They were sets that provided spell crit and now they don't. 1 set, 5 % spell crit, the other still provides 4% crit on the 3 slot. every set is more complete and they all make alot more sense. sorry you light armour wearers with your spell reductions, resistance penetration and spell cost reductions cant out crit medium armour wearers. Big mistake zenimax!!!
