Still wanting to hear if the unlimited sprint while using stam abilities on targets out of range is intended. This seems like a pretty big change.

Also, really not happy with the stealth nerf to node spawn rates. You already stealth nerfed materials from refining.

Someone just said it was with twin slashes from dual wield. Its all of them? I use 2h sword and haven't gotten any infinite sprint.

I don't know, a lot of these "bugs" i'm perfectly fine with.

Don't want to risk being 1-shotted by silver shards? Don't roll vamp. I expect the only reason it's so ubiquitous is because practically everybody is a vamp. Now vamp has a major downside. Good. Less vamps = less reason to keep it slotted. Vamps should be extremely uncommon.

Melee folks have unlimited sprint to close with ranged folks? Ranged still gets the advantage of all those attacks during said closing, so I'm pretty fine with that too. Particularly as sta builds presumably need to use that resource for their attacks.

And, of course, as everybody said letting DK pull folks off walls seems perfectly fine, if not half the point.

(P.S. I don't PvP. I consider PvP in RPG's as pointless. PvP belongs in games where win/lose is completely based on player skill, and not character stats. RPG's, by definition, are not such games.)

Just finished going through some of your comments and wanted to give you all an update on a few issues that were called out:
    • Silent Village: We do have a fix that we're testing internally, and hope to roll this out soon.
    • Reflective Scales: We are investigating the drain you're seeing on stamina and magicka.
    • The Shattered and the Lost: Actively investigating this quest.
We've also passed along your concerns about a number of other issues including Magma Armor and Shadow Cloak not working.

Any news on the MMB problem? it's also much wider than just the mouse brands mentioned in the list as I have a steel series mouse and have the same problem. Been having a problem getting any proper response from customer support other than stock replies for totally unrelated stuff.

For me the game feels like it's broken at the moment, most add ons still broken and unable to use my mouse properly....

We're still trying to nail this one down. What's the model of the mouse you use? Is it just the MMB that's broken? If so, what do you have it mapped to?

<vent on>Ouch, this game is a buggy mess sometimes. Veteran levels are hard enough without abilities not responding, delayed combat damage, enemy attacks not matching animations, attacks ignoring blocks, trying to target enemies when the server thinks they are behind you and the client thinks they are in front. After all that I just had to quit because I couldn't even use E or R after death (except in a bug report, because the keyboard was fine).<vent off>

    And breathe . . .

Am enjoying the game, and once the bugs found each patch get fixed, it will be getting better every patch. Clearly some will be easier than others to pin down, but eventually things will work.

On a very positive note, I now get quest vp, and banner updates, and skill xp for handing in quests, and banner updates for handing in skyshards. So either this comes from the server and has been fixed already, or it only affects some people sometimes.

Having done some DX dev during my off-hours: it seems like you might be using polling. If framerate drops polling fails.

DXInput needs to be used with buffering, it's not more than 2000 LOC to get done. I'm not sure why MMB is suffering, strange, but it sounds like polling issues. Window messages = no go. Polling = no go. They cause these exact issues.

But you are right to question the mouse in question, the drivers might be doing something daft.

Unless I'm overlooking something in the patch notes, there seems to be an issue with the new Sorcerer per Controls that I think should be added to the list.

It seems that once you start using the Y+l-click to attack and Y+r-click to disengage, you must then use those controls all the time thereafter. I see no way to return to the default pet auto-attack/auto-follow setting afterward.

Example: Start a fight, hit Y + Left-click to tell your pet to target a specific mob. Works fine. If there are more than one mob, the pet will auto-attack the next one after the first goes down. That works.

But then when combat ends, the pet just stands there and will not follow you if you leave the area unless you use Y + right-click to tell the pet to return.

Then, of course, once you've told the pet to return to you, if you start another fight any time later, the pet won't auto-attack anymore when you engage in combat unless you use Y + left-click again.

Dismissing and re-summoning the pet does not return to the auto attack functionality the pet starts with. The only way I've found to get back to 'normal', is to camp out to character select. Normal auto combat routine works fine once more after logging the character back in.

I don't see it listed as a bug on the first page, but have seen it reported in a few places. Are NPC mobs breaking CC and then being immune to CC afterwards an intended change? Because, gee whiz, that makes VR even tougher for people who do not have a maxed-out DPS build. Now trash mobs outnumber us, hit harder than us, have more health than us, and we can't even lock them down with CC to try to mitigate all their advantages.

I'm just trying to help. MMB gets confused with the wheel too often for my tastes. I've just written one too many framework and I see many open-source libraries (GLFW etc.) getting this simple bit wrong. Simply ask your devs: are they using input buffering and not polling/window events? Back in DX6 Microsoft stressed the fact that you should be using buffering, their samples don't event do it anymore.

It's a hunch (I am good at them).

Ummmmmm but who thought this was a bug and needs to be fixed? This has been like this since probably alpha and its always something to be careful of when standing on keep walls. This should not be changed... If archers/mages can pop someone while close to a wall, then why cant a DK pull them off and punish them for standing out in the open without blocking... This skill seperates real pvpers and level 10s and should not be changed.

You guys both need to read. THROUGH WALLS. Not OFF of WALLS. So the player get a another player through the walls of their keep. When they are blocked by concencret. It's talking about not making people get pulled through solid concrete walls. never did it so off of walls.

Games where win/lose is almost entirely based on player skill? Easy. Battlefield. Titanfall. CoD. Just about any FPS. If I want my PvP fix I go play one of those. I don't go looking for good PvP in a game genre where by definition it's mostly based on character stats and not actual player skill. That's lame mode PvP.

If you truly have a patch, you should apply it as soon as possible. I don't think many will bother for a small downtime if it makes them able to play, because actually many can't play with 3-9 FPS after 2 or 3 minutes.

I'm looking to continue this discussion that leads to feedback so Zeni can fix our game!

@Nevril , I also want a hotfix for the FPS problem in Cyro/Graglorn.
This is starting to annoy me as well!
This is my view on the problems.

The problem with the fps/lag in Cyro AND Graglorn seams to be much more complex then just update a file. MMO history have shown us this.

When they have found a fix that they have proved will work, like working on the PTS server with enough users testing, they will or should reboot the servers AT ONCE! .

A warning that servers comes down in 15 mins is enough, but can happen at any time if they have a fix for THIS critical problem.

Any problem that prevents a larger part users to play the game is very bad for business and has the highest priority, known in the IT Data center Services "world" as "Mission Critical" problems.

The difference in mission critical problem to other issues
Please do not confuse this with other problems, bugs or balance issues.
Which of course are important and have different priorities.
Hotfixes are applied all the time now. All issues are of course important to work on. Its just a fact that they have to prioritize.

The fact speaks for themselves. The past days, we have seen big, medium and minor issues getting fixed, even unknown fixes like racial ability to orcs.

The possible reasons I can see why this happens, is when "debugging" and working in multiple teams of all the complex and many different softwares that MMOs have. Is cause of a person or debug tool, of many, found a flaw or mistake in a code.

Only a vast game breaking skill requires a fast "stop" of that skill.
1 vampire killing 50 players at once. Or the VERY OP bash skill.
Fixing skills like these 2 examples needed a fast workaround "STOP", to stop players abusing them. Sadly....

Please note the difference in these 2 examples and that balance is not the same serious problem. Balance is one of the most important things in ESO, but you can not just take away light armor because they are better atm.

This does not mean Zenimax let us wait on purpose.
Microsoft for example have updates (some critical to security) that requires a reboot for your PC. But they do not find all their fixes on Monday evening before the update on Tuesday.

          Priorities of issues
Still the game is very much playable. You can enter enter Cyro/Craglorn.
You can move, play like "normal" BUT with lower FPS, most likely connected to the same problem with no FPS when engaging battle in Cyro.
This fact makes this problem into a critical one.

I would add the problem with abuse of the map to be able to do cheat is sever as well. But this is something players choose to exploit!
Why would anyone want to cheat? I hope Zenimax kicks the cheaters out of the game. Is not PvP about the rush of you beating another player because you are good?

In the rest of Tamriel (not Cyro/Graglorn), the FPS works ok enough. Performance, graphics and even phasing in groups who quests, improved since patch. Everything has room for improvement though.

I base this on my own experience since patch and others who in game, have the same improvement. Phasing is not 100%, but works in most cases.

Performance issues are not only based in the MMO, but also the client/network side. Or can be a mix of both. The Cyro problem is on the MMO side though.

As long as ESO is managing and are aware of issues, are fixing, balancing as they are, and will improve in time. I accept priorities of issues.

The publish list of issues and this tread
The list Zenimax published and asking for feedback shows us how they working and on specific problems. They even add to the list, by feedback from players.

They could chosen to not list anything and just ask for feedback and handle it internally.

Listing current issues is uncommon in any MMO. Because ALL MMOs, with no exceptions, have a lot of unsolved issues, or issues they do not fix at all.
Publishing the issues and NOT ONLY the fixes, as most MMO does when the patch goes live and servers goes up, is bold by Zenimax.
But have the very good effect of getting the best info they can get, from active players.

The backside of this, is our expectations to have an issue fixed right away, when you feedback it and they list it. MMOs issues simply isn't to just simply "fix".

Instead of "ESO SUCKS, Unsub", that we used to have.
We now get, "Fix these problems in PvP or I will leave". With a detailed description.

We want ESO to work and play it right? This thread is helping.

          Conclusion of my feedback
I am very greatful for this thread, for the list of issues and updates about fixes. For the communication with us. Please continue with this!
We need a working game! And I think this is the best way to go.

I do expect patches to create problems, and that fixes are not always easy.
However, there has been a bit to many fixes that was not a fix. I still accept this and wait.
But Zenimax needs to have more fixes, that are fixes!

          Keep it up!

Off topic, but many users here compare ESO with other MMOs

How other MMO fix and patch

Most MMOs lists patches that fixes issues. Each week in most cases. This list is published when its live and servers are up, not before.

How many of here who remember the almost year long constant 12-14 hours downtime in WoW, several days a week at start, remembers when it got fixed?

I played then, I don't remember WHEN it got fixed, I just remember my frustration of not being able to play. And the annoying 2 years before rogues stopped to being way to OP in pvp. I don't remember when or how they got fixed.

From my MMO experience, ESO is on track. But everything can always improve.
This is ESO however, and I care very little about how other MMOs are doing.

Also the NB skill Shadow Cloak and it's morphs (Shadowy Disguise and Dark Cloak ) have been broken since launch. In pvp it's pointless to use the skill while in-combat as it will break the moment you used it. I think this needs an immediate fix, or you think it's a minor issue and you don't even mention it on the "known issues" thread ?

Does this also happen with Invisibility from potions?
