I would love to hear your explanation for defending the AP offered for scouting missions and wall repairs, then. Of course, if you don't think AP should be offered for these activities, then I applaud your consistency of belief.

Do you not like the gear sold by the vendors at the gates, such as the epic (purple) armor pieces that sell for 500,000 or more AP?
If you wish to level the Enchanting skill, you could buy glyphs for deconstruction. Those are only a few thousand AP each. Just don't buy the Monumental glyphs right now as they are bugged and offer no inspiration when deconstructed.

And there you have it ladies and gentleman.
Someone with ZERO idea regarding the current AP situation.

Because you get alliance points for killing players.
lol exploit what?
not everyone who has 8 figures exploits...
i spent over 2mill ap recently on the two purp cov rings and a cov staff just for my offhand ae bar, and i dont exploit, and only play 2-3 hours a night.
crafted gear is the best in the game for pvp, this has always been intended, as without it crafting becomes worthless.
thus ap gear is supposed to be filler and not something to base a gear set around.
Halrloprillalar wrote: »IF AP gear isn't intended to be best for PVP then there needs to be something that IS worth that much AP. At this point I'd be content being able to buy raw mats with it.
you mean the player killed should drop gold that you pick up?
id be fine with that, but the masses of bads would never agree and thus it couldnt be implemented
Personally, I'm glad they don't.
Not only would that increase the incentive to PVDoor, but we already have enough trouble keeping our people from running off and agro-ing random guards >_<
Seriously though, we're sieging the keep wall, and there's always at least one guy who wanders off to solo the guards at the front door.
Why? no one knows.
