Why is it so difficult to report bots etc.?

I have yet to figure out how to select a character and report it for botting.

I just watched a whole series of identical rag-clad bots running through the air in Bangkorai and could do nothing about it.

Even if I can make a report - a PM or chat message for example - It still involves dealing with a clumsy dialog box that won't let me send a screen shot of the actual situation (it repositions the character and camera to display the dialog). I then have to select a series of drop downs, checkboxes AND type a message before I can send off the message.

In contrast, GW2 allows me to rapidly right-click on a character, select 'report for botting' from the drop list and that's it, job done!

Ideally of course we should be equipped with an anti-bot skill - ZAPPPP!
Perhaps a new guild skill-line similar to the Fighter's guild?

Lack of nameplates means no easy right-click .. don't let the 'immersionists' con you.

I agree the reporting system is pretty flawed right now. You have to wait in the chat screen and not play, while waiting on an agent to get to you. The add screenshot button LITTERALY is just a screen shot of the ticket screen in the menus, which is really inconvenient. there isnt even instructions on how to take a proper screenshot in game, and the only why to report a player is to get in their face, hold f, and select report player. It's one reason I think ZOS is having trouble with these hackers and bots, the way to report them is so Eff'd up

perhaps a right click option in the type mode would do the trick..then you can easily report but still play in cursor mode in an immersive way without names floating about..everyone happy...
And I admit its hard to tag when they are moving at superspeed ,or harvest underground

The teleporting bots can be caught by going to the place they are teleporting to (usually a resource node or a quest NPC), then aiming your cursor at where the bot will appear and hovering your finger over the F key.

It involves some dedication on your part and yes, it should be much easier to report them.

If you are not averse to add-ons, I recommend fastreport. It holds the last targeted players name and gives you an easy way to pop a report to support, and go on your merry way.

It even let me capture a couple of invisibots. You can get the addon at esoui.com

When you report a player I've found that using gold bot in the feedback section of report player puts a priority on it due to the interface that is prompted. I was in a dungeon reported two VR XP bots and the bots were removed within like 3 minutes.

I find it rather odd that even after you manage to target a bot and enter the section where you are filing out the ticket that one of the options is not "this player is a bot" or something of the sort. Also most of the time bots travel in packs, if I could do a mass report on like 10 of them at a time that would be nice. Personally I have always felt that a few zenimax employees in game with a dedicated bot reporting channel and map marker link would greatly diminish the bot activity.

Probably the quickest way for Zenimax to beat with the problem would be to just ban everybody.
Then just reinstate the few real players.

    (It's a joke)

I do select that option, I'm merely suggesting that one of the options in the rotary wheel selection be "bot" and then it would send all the player data, including location to an in-game GM(if there where any). It would be much faster and far more efficient than having to fill out a report every time.

It takes less than 8 seconds to report a bot.

....based on my history of accidentally asking people to group and trade, this would cause more trouble to bind it to a hold f function. also the current reporting system does send them that information, just have to finish the report part to send it
