Excellent list! I think the only item I would want added to the list is to have the maximum stack size increased from 100 to 1000... but that's a request not a bug :-)

I'd be thrilled if they even raised it to 250 per stack!

From the "Piquant Jazby Grapes" thread:
Just happy they fixed this, was getting on my nerves… lol
They also fixed the 3 drink matts that were mislabeled as food matts.

@Catches_the_Sun: Should item #9 be crossed off then?

Not sure. I haven't checked those since the patch & they weren't mentioned in the notes. Were these descriptions fixed?

First of all, great thread! Lots of good discussion and information here and I check it regularly for updates.

I have a question about a specific item that would fall under item 5 in the main post.

    Saltrice Slurry

Does Saltrice Slurry currently drop in the game? In the process of leveling my main character up, I collected every single Aldmeri Dominion green recipe... except that one. Spent quite a bit of time trying to farm it before giving up and moving on. None of my guildmates found a copy of the recipe either.

I have also constantly searched for the recipe in both /zone chat and different Trade Guilds without ever seeing the recipe or a sample of the crafted product.

If one of you folks HAS acquired this recipe and can confirm that I just had amazingly bad luck (I have both the blue and purple versions of the recipe now, but still no green), please do so. But, at this point, according to what I have been able to discover, it seems that this recipe drop might be broken.

    Thanks.

I now don't get very many crap items from Vet Zones but there are some issues.

    1. Imperial Flour and other ingredients don't drop in Vet Zones.
    2. Level IV Ingredients still dominant in containers in Vet Zones.
    3. 0 Gold crap items still infest containers.

I'm currently VR3 and have decided to level my provisioning in the last few days, starting at provisioning level 6, I went to Stros M'kai to loot low level ingredients (My faction is DC) and all the ingredients are for lvl 50/VR5 recipes. Obviously I cant craft with them because I'm not at the appropriate provisioning level.

This is true for both Daggerfall and Betnikh also, so I assume when they patched out low level items in VR zones they did this by tying the container loot table to wether you are VR or not.

I'm currently in 3 large trading guilds and the right ingredients being available on AH is very few and far between.

Does this mean I will have to roll an alt to farm the appropriate mats?

I'd go spend an hour in a low level zone collecting materials/recipes to craft. Works well, I think I went to 50 provisioning in a couple of hours (though I'd collected recipes on my way to VR ranks).

If you read my post properly you see that I have gone to my factions low level area (Stros M'kai/Betnikh) to loot the appropriate mats but only lvl50/VR5 recipes/ingredients drops. Also the trash loot in the containers (0g stuff) is all VR3 (my level).

Either make an alt or ask in your guild to trade stacks of what you can gather with a lower level who can get what you need. At level 33 I can still gather low ingredients by going back to the lower zones. It could be a win-win trades.

Thanks for bringing this up. After some testing, it appears they have made a change so that VR ingredients drop in EVERY zone once you unlock Veteran content. I tested this on my Ebonheart Pact VR characters and found that every EP zone even dropped T4-T6 ingredients. Looting the same zones with my lower level alts resulted in finding level appropriate ingredients per zone. This wasn't in the Patch Notes, but I personally don't think it is a serious issue, but was a change that wasn't communicated.

This is something I have been trying but it is not a reliable source of ingredients.

but I personally don't think it is a serious issue

How is it not a "serious" issue? If I have no reliable source of mats, the leveling of this profession will be at a stuttering pace dictated by when ever I am lucky enough to find another player selling/trading the specific ingredients I need.

Or I am forced to roll an alt and level it 40 or so levels just so I can consistently and reliably loot level appropriate mats along the way. This will take even longer.

People in my position may only be a small % of the player base but this is quite a big barrier preventing us from leveling this profession.

The change to the loot tables in the patch should of only applied to VR zones not VR chars.

As I said, I personally don't think it's a serious issue. You can feel free to disagree with me. As you stated yourself, the number of players who level up to VR and then start Tier 1 Provisioning on that same character is going to be a very small percentage of the player base. Hence, the reason this issue is just now being discovered over a full week after the patch which caused it. As of right now, we don't know if this is a bug or a design decision, and neither would surprise me.

I agree it is a problem for you and others and should be fixed. There is another thread where someone else did the same thing and in the end had to make an alt to get the lower level mats.

You wouldn't have to level to 40 though. You could just stick to the main roads and go to main cities to collect lower level ingredients on your alternate in all of the pre-VR zones avoiding the higher level mobs.

Or as others have suggested pick up lower level mats and recipes in guild stores/banks. Not ideal but provides a fix until ZOS hopefully addresses the issue.

Well you can add Provisioning items now vanish from your inventory taking existing crafted items with them when they go, at least this is what has just happened to me after a week of farming nodes, only to have over 150 Consummate Fried Saltrice and 60+ Invigorated Honey Pudding just vanish taking the ones I already had in my backpack with them!

    That sucks.

I wonder if that happened to me. I was sure I had 15 jazbay grapes to make a purple recipe drink. The grapes in my inventory changed to the piquant jazbay grapes post patch and then when I was going to try and make one of the drinks for the first time it told me I didn't have any of those grapes.

I thought I must have accidentally deleted them when I was doing an inventory shuffle but maybe they were swallowed up like your items.

Oats & Tomatoes - These are rare by design & only obtainable by Provisioner Hireling 2 & 3. They are not supposed to be lootable in-game, confirmed by Zenimax.

    What? Why?

In that case, why not do the same for pepper, saaz hops, canis root, and jazbay grapes? Actually, why not do it for barley, garlic, potato, hops, juniper berry, and white grapes as well.

(Note: being indignant about this ridiculous decision, not actually suggesting any of the above. I do not follow the logic behind the decision to lock out two specific PURPLE provisioning ingredients but not the other ten, and I strongly disagree with the ingredients being limited to hirelings at all.)

This is Zenimax's intent. There are only 3 ingredients that are considered "in demand". They are oats, tomatoes & pepper. Two of those (oats & tomatoes) are only obtainable through Hirelings, while pepper can be looted, but is probably the rarest ingredient at the moment. This is by design. I understand some people don't agree with this, but the intent of this thread is to discuss & bring bugs to the attention of Zenimax, not to argue intended design decisions.

Haven't seen this mentioned before so will add it here for you to add to the list OP.

I found a recipe called "Invigorated Grilled Horker Recipe" in Rivenspire. It is an Improvement 3 Quality 2 recipe.

The ingredients are Crawdad, Stock and Onion. The effects increase Magicka and Stamina by 187 for an hour. In essence it is the Invigorated Crawdad Etoufee recipe with a different name and dropping in the wrong zone given that in Daggerfall the drop meat is Horker in the 3rd zone not Crawdad.

Not sure if this means that either the Enriched Grilled Horker recipe or the Invigorated Crawdad Etoufee aren't dropping or whether this is an additional unintended recipe. I have a screenshot of the recipe just not sure how to attach it to a post on this forum.

Recipes don't drop according to zone, but according to your character's level, regardless of the zone you're in. Ingredients, however, will drop by zone regardless of your level, until you reach VR1. That being said, depending on what level you are & what zone you're in, it's very likely you'll find recipes that call for a different meat than what drops there.

I haven't had that happen for me before it has always been ingredients for the Alliance I'm in for the recipes that have dropped. Although I'm not sure if we are talking about the same thing. I was saying that Crawdad is an Aldmeri Dominion ingredient and that recipe with that ingredient in it dropped in Daggerfall Covenant. I may have confused the matter by saying zone when I meant Alliance in my original post.

In any event if they do drop in other Alliances there still seems to be something wrong with the recipe. It is called 'Grilled Horker" but has no Horker in it and is a stew (stock) not a grilled (suet) product. It also isn't listed in any of the recipe lists on Tamriel Foundry or ESO Wiki so I'm guessing it has been recently added (whether intentionally or not).

The name of the recipe should be changed or the ingredients in the recipe should be changed so that they match with each other. I also think the recipe should drop in the right Alliance if it is meant to be a new Crawdad recipe.

How often do you farm in 1-50 zones? I just spent 15 minutes there & got 3 VR5 recipes, though they were all green. I don't think blues act any differently, at least they didn't before the last major patch, as I recently looted a Fortified Sweetroll recipe in the Riften bank.

There are certain areas of zones that are considered under another alliance's control. Within these areas, you will receive provisioning ingredients of that other faction. An example of this would be in Stonefalls in the Ebonheart Pact. There is a quest area where there are dreugh & mobs that are "Covenant" mobs, with a couple of quest lines to go along with them. Within this area, including the Covenant ship, you'll receive DC ingredients, even though you're in an EP zone. Is the area in Rivenspire similar to this?

I picked it up in Shornhelm in Rivenspire, the main city for the zone with the bank in it. So completely DC.

I suspect it was meant to be the Enriched Grilled Horker or the Invigorated Horker Stew and the ingredient/s and name are just wrong. Seems more probable than an entirely new recipe that has the same ingredients as an already existing recipe.

Hey guys! Just wanted to bring a post to your attention that we just put up today. We're looking at revamping the Provisioning system, and wanted to get your feedback on what we're planning. You can find the thread here: http://forums.elderscrollsonline.com/discussion/119265/provisioning-revamp

I really do hope they revamp stuff, or at least make purple recipe drops a little more frequent. Purples (at least on the NA server) now go for 800k gold. Definitely not worth the price IMO.
