You're obviously blind to the cold hard truth then. The game has already renounced itself as probably the worst Mmorpg launch of all time by now. In all my years of Alpha, Beta testing, and playing pretty much any Mmorpg you can name out there, I've personally never seen any Beta, let alone a launch where you couldn't complete a quest.

Well I can't give you subscription or box sales figures, but I can tell you that it was disclosed to the group of beta testers I was involved with that more than 5 million people applied to be beta testers, as of that particular date. With that level of interest I think we can safely assume that there were a very good number of box sales. First month subscription numbers are never true to the long term participation numbers so those would be fairly useless at this point in time.

These two links should give readers some idea of how well funded this corporate structure has become over the years. Not to mention the wide array of products already on the market via their various studios. The following will give you some idea of what those are:

Additionally these companies are wholly privately held and are not publicly traded unless I've completely misread the information about these guys. That means that there is no requirement to publish subscription information now or at any time. If at any time they do choose to disclose this information then it would be a completely voluntary release.

And?
Just means majority of their pre-orders got cancelled, now they have a *** load of worthless boxes they are desperately trying to get rid of. A 20$ price drop doesn't happen to a "well bought" MMO within the first month.

It doesnt mean this at all. They sold 330,000 copies in April physical boxes. So many they had to make new imperial edition boxes three different times. All it means is amazon and gamestop want to clear these boxes out since most orders will be digital from now on. Note on ALL those sites the digital versions and the imperial physical versions are NOT on sale. Explain that to me.
ZOS has not given any data except the number who tried the beta and 5 mill sounds plausible.dwaightb16_ESO wrote: »if you have to believe the numbers company's spit out...

The game isnt allowed in CHina for one because of undead. The chinese have culture laws that prevent depicting honored ancesters in negative ways, ie skeletons/zombies. Zenimax would have to redesign the game for a chinese market.
So its the look and setting lol. What hapened with warcraft in china? Very popular+ has undead, will travel.
From what Ive read WoW in china has NO undead in it.

(WoW) There is an entire playable race of undead that is a fundamental part of the game lore... If these statements are true, how then did the company change that part of the game?
As for where the $$ goes from Blizzard's WoW, I read an article last year (I wish I could find it now-it may have been in my local newspaper) that they were not focusing on WoW as a game so much anymore, but rather bleeding it and siphoning the $$ into their other projects (I forget which game they mentioned specifically).
As for the OP's question, I too am curious about the numbers. I hope Zenimax posts something about it after free access ends.

A significant price cut this early on is not a good sign. It's not the end of times, but it's not a good sign at all.

For pete's sake the game is only discounted in the retail regular verison box. The digital versions are still the same price. Why if you are going to reply to something do you not even bother to read what you are replying to? This is absolutely normal.

Eh, whatever I guess. I don't buy it and you haven't really provided any information backing up your claims. I have seen many other MMO games that did not price cut physical copies with in 30 days. Specially by 20$.
It doesn't matter a whole lot to me though as to why, with the new console promotion I will get 2 months of play time and 2 versions of the game for 60$, instead of paying for just 30 days and one platform for 60$.
