I see, pulling out the big guns, the PFN, at least they didn't say it was over 9000. Then you'd know they were just pulling your leg. So the 10k seems legit.

I am not certain but i believe the asian market might not exist because of the look and setting of this game.

The game isnt allowed in CHina for one because of undead. The chinese have culture laws that prevent depicting honored ancesters in negative ways, ie skeletons/zombies. Zenimax would have to redesign the game for a chinese market.

So its the look and setting lol. What hapened with warcraft in china? Very popular+ has undead, will travel.

The undead in chinese WoW have been modified to not resemble... undead

Yes the chinese are very strict on cultural identity laws. If only the US was lol.

Does it really matter how many play OP? Are you looking for some sort of validation like you are popular?

The reason why experienced mmo'ers watch WoW subscriber numbers is to gauge how much money WoW makes. In the end, that will determine how much money Blizzard can put back into game development, network and customer support and still pay off their stockholders.

    That's why size does matter.

Totally false, WoW with his supposed million of players doesn't put out much content between expansions (one the main complain in the WoW community) and considering the last 3 expansions, I don't know wtf they do with the money...

EVE on the other side, with merely 500K is always putting out free expansion and content

Size matters only in bed and if it isn't your gut....

A fairly large number of drama queens, though.

And an even fairer amount of fanboys keeping the game in a state without progress.

They sold 300,000 physical copies. Only zenimax knows how many digital copies were purchased from their website. In my opinion I'd guess 4 times the people got the digital as got the physical. So that means they sold about 1.5 million copies. How many of those stick around after the first month is anyone's guess.

I would surmise the thought goes like this:

If they are fixing bugs, then they aren't working on new content. Therefore progress is being blocked.

which of course is false, since the people fixing bugs aren't the same people working on new content.

I don't think is that, I think is more like:

If you aren't screaming like an obsess and insulting everyone you don't want the game to be fixed

Or some other silly thing, god knows

This. Mists of Pandaria sold about four times as many digital as physical copies: http://www.forbes.com/sites/carolpinchefsky/2012/10/04/mists-of-pandaria-digital-sales-outnumber-retail-by-nearly-41/

It seems to me that would be a reasonable estimate of the proportion of digital to physical copies for ESO.

Didn't you know that the devs don't actually pay attention to bug reports, but just come to this forum and decide which bugs to fix based on how angry and filled with hyperbole the posts are?

I am in no way a fangirl ( gurl) what ever the heck it is now…but I do have tolerance and understanding and support the zos team in efforts they are making .I sometimes wish they would do more about the bots but that is my own frustration and I will give it a little more time.

If you are so unhappy with the progression they are going at, yelling and insulting people who have some tolerance , will not speed it up. Unsub if you are that angry that you cannot wait anymore and must explode in a white hot ball of troll furry on forums.. then maybe the game is not for you.

I am not being a smart a** and I am not taking up for the game. I am simply saying using your outside voice on a forums is really not productive. Unsub if they get a ton of people who do ,that will make them take notice, if not than you are right and they don't care and you can come back and do your" I told ya so dance". I will be the first one to eat humble pie if that happens.

For now numbers are not really anything ,imho they based the game investment off of all 3 platforms once those platforms are established we may see some hard numbers…..maybe…but for me I could care less if I am enjoying and having fun I know they have at least one sub. Soon as I am not I will leave.

I am not a lemming and can go and do what I please .I do not need a number to validate my choices.

From what I have been told it is the normal state on Call of Duty forums to be toxic. Many appear to think what happens over there is normal everywhere, and therefore appropriate here. Thus cultural diversity can have a downside.

That would explain a lot, unfortunately many of those have made the jump to MMOs from CS or TF through WoW (the CoD of MMOs)

Shimond you are actually a good example of someone who defends the game but keeps it mostly civil. I have a hard time even talking about the game because of people who rush in a derail it. You do the same thing, but at least you're nicer about it. You seem to think only positive feedback is constructive and this is simply not the case. You don't have to treat every discussion like us vs. them, and you most certainly do.

I just hope you guys realize that desperately trying to silence everyone is indeed harmful to the game. You really aren't helping anyone. At the very least it would do you guys a lot of good to realize the double standards you apply.

People agree with me at a much higher rate than you and the feedback in my threads is being addressed by Zenimax as we speak. So you are simply wrong.

That's how feedback works. Desperately trying to silence everyone is incredibly harmful and you should probably stop. It's all drama and sidetracking with you.
