Combat Bug - unable to fight or flee

Has anyone experienced and/or reported the following "Combat Bug"?

I have experienced many times (at least 12 times) on different characters where my character is in combat and for some unknown reason is suddenly unable to fight, cast spells or retreat.
My "toons" become unable to swing a weapon, cast a spell or move at more than about 20% - 30% of regular movement speed.
After dying the character must log off. This is the only way to purge the inability to move and fight.

Edit:
I forgot to include:
Another symptom is a huge drop in FPS. I usually get between 90- 100 FPS. When this "failure" occurs it drops to about 20 - 30 FPS. I have to log out to correct this issue.

I have that sometimes that my character becomes as functional as a statue during combat..
Unable to do anything for like 5 to 10 seconds.
And as player you do not get the needed information to know what's going on.

I wonder if it is some kind of stun or bug, until now I haven't reported it because I can't provide any further details about it yet.

Few times I've noticed that the circling head-spinning animation(of stunned or dazed?) appears gigantic around the body
And I wonder if there is another effect that has the same animation, but large?

Yes, this has been reported many times. Hit ESC twice (opening the menu and closing it) as soon as you notice it happening and it will clear it. One of the bug fixes in the 1.1 patch notes looks like it may fix this.

Thank you aipex8 for the info. This exchange of information will make the game more enjoyable for me if I can remember to hit "esc" twice next time.

I never had a stun effect when this occurred Tipsy.

Happens me to atleast a dozen times PER DAY in the last week and a half.

It happens to me now and again. I open and close inventory quickly and it usually fixes for me. My husband gets this issue more than I do, though.

    Thanks for the feedback.

    Proposed remedies:
    1) Hit ESC twice
    2) open and close inventory quickly
    3) sometime hitting f1 or esc

Quick remedies which may allow my "toon" to survive in-game are appreciated.

It happens to me too and it's usually when I get stunned. It seems like the animation is off for us players getting stunned as currently you just stand still. In beta you would get knocked on your ass and I believe that's how it's suppose to be but it's messed up right now. Hope they fix.

In my experience it has nothing to do with a stun.

I forgot to post that one of the symptoms is a huge drop in FPS. I usually get between 90 - 100 FPS. When this "failure" occurs I drop to about 20 - 30 FPS; so I have to log out of the game to fix it.
