Public Dungeons (Missing Achievements- Missing Skill Points)

Good topic! I saw a few ppl talking about the problems with skill points in public dungeons so I counted mine up and don't believe I have ever received a skill point for any of these dungeons in AD yet. I was at DL in Coldharbor last night and I could farm boss, but no cheevo at all. This quest has been broken for a while now.

Having to solo a dungeon with a million other ppl for last hit is ridiculous. If their going to require this at least give us our own instance.

Did the DC ones tonight in a raid group and everyone got achievement and skill point. The only one we didn't do was the lost city puzzle, we tried for a while but either we just weren't getting it right or it was bugged and unfortunately it's difficult to tell which it is.

I have trouble with razaks wheel there is felsh atronach dead on table but thats it

For razaks wheel when you kill the dwarven spiders and spheres around it an imperial necromancer should come out and bring the flesh atronach to life. Killing them gave the achievement and skill point.

I think that there is a clear contradiction between the solo content & reward and group content & reward in this game.

For the solo content, the player should have is own instance and the reward and achievement is awarded only to him - see the main story quests.

On the other hand, the group content should grant the reward & achievement to everybody in the group:
- closed group content (4 member group) with an instance to separate it from the rest of the players - all 4 members are getting the reward / achievement.
- open / public group - everybody that was involved in the fight (managed to land a blow to the boss) should get the achievement.

Awarding solo type rewards to a group content is not a good idea. I hope it will get fixed.

I am AD and curently in the rift, so far I' missing 3 skill points from public dungeons and 1 skill point from not been able to finish a quest line coz im stuck at "Report to Marbruk" quest

I'm having problems with The Lion's Den, I am missing 'Den Mother', I've been camping the spot thats been marked on the map on like the 3rd post here, but nothing has spawned for over 1 and a half hour! is this the right spot? is it in this small little cave thing? am i missing something obvious?

Yes the boss is inside the cave, you should try to relog, maybe your instance will change and the boss will be there without having to wait, or just try to get away the cave then come back inside, sometimes it works.
Anyway that is the good location.

i think depend also if other bosses are killed, it's like more of them you kill more they spawn fast

p.s i'm waiting a answer from support right now, seems they are doing something about this issue

This is a very good thread, not just for the nice pictures but also as a summery for what is either broken with existing achievements/challenges and what is simply missing.

I for one would love to see achievements for the other 'champions' as well. Can't see any reason why some public dungeons have one and some don't, especially since those without an achievement still seem to have champions (ran into a few champions in Rulanyil's Fall today).

These darn inconsistancies are killing me....

Found the bosses in Toothmaul Gully on my fourth visit. Killed the boss got the skill point.

A group member got the or Root Sunder boss to spawn.

I'm going to check out the next AD public dungeon.

Beat the group challenge in Rulanyil's Fall, got the achievement but no skill point.

Might be unrelated but last night my Son and I were in Deshan near Dire Bramblepatch We had one go at him and died, respawned at wayshrine and came back to have another go at him but he wasn't there. No one esle was in the area (not even bots lol) so no one killed him, we decided to relog because we knew our passives wouldn't work correctly, I re-logged to find myself in a different instance/phase of the game to my Son even though we were grouped. My Son told me the boss was there so I came over quickly and could see him until I got in range then he just de-spawned right before my eyes......

What Gives ??

I was able to complete rulanyil's fall group challenge, but I did not receive a skill point. I put in a ticket, hope this gets resolved

Once you have completed all quests, all sky shards and all normal\vet instanced group dungeons, you are sitting around 260 skill points. For 50 more you need to max PVP levels, and then to get over 310 you need the skill points from group dungeon group achievements. So yes it would be nice for theses to be fixed if you like maxing most things.

So you are missing your achievements, so am i. But wait look they are still there S'ren-ja was bugged for me ( Thank god they fixed it ). I did it and got my Aldmeri hero title. Are my achivs missing? NOPE

i can confirm they just added Slayer Of Rulanyil's Fall/Champion Of Rulanyil's Fall
and Slayer Of Crimson Cove/Champion Of Crimson Cove

also Rulanyil's Fall Group Challenge still not rewarding skill point and i have no idea if you need to last hit boss for get credit of kill in slayer/champion achievement

I can confirm that
Forgotten Crypts Group Challenge is curently granting both achievement and skill point.
there was 4 people on spot, two of us grouped. Also kwama guardians was wiped recently cos we waited in there for at least 10 minutes

After we killed kwamas (first) and bosses (after they appear) all folks were granted both achievement and skill point.

A guy told me that he got skill point from crimson cove group challenge; please who did runlayil's fall\crimson cove before this patch , check if you have 2 more skill points in your total

i did Rulanyil's Fall group challenge before patch with no skill point reward, after patch no skill point granted to my char
