    It is normal, but it does highlight a problem. It does attract negativity, but it is kind of deserved when ZOS is failing to deliver an adequate level of service.

    I spoke to customer services with a modest level of respect and integrity.
    I am definitely assuming you are a child now. Due to your lack of knowledge on software and hardware. I had multiple issues and emailed multiple Zenimax staff, wanna know what they all said?
    - Run game as administrator
    - Restart Windows
    - Repair Game
    - Reinstall game
    Like, holy hell really? thats insulting. Of course I tried all of these steps before contacting them, I'm not stupid.
    I work in software development and IT managing, I know my way around a computer and have pushed all 'basic' methods to fixing the issue. The simple fact is Zenimax are treating their PAYING customers as children, and when you try these childish methods of 'fixing' the game, its because they have no REAL response to give you.
    But you still eat the *** that zenimax feed you.
    Stop reading this thread and GO to the customer support forum, and if you can count less than one hundred threads complaining about the game not working, I will up and leave now and never return.

    Next, I am not on the bandwagon, nor an employee of TESO, but I can tell you I am sure you must have had some problems, but I have not had these. I have had a few issues, but my customer support so far has been great. They contact me and I contact them back as needed. Sure there are a lot of bugs, but its less than a month since release, and so far I have not had any game halting bugs. I could list a quest that is broken, on a boss spawn, but I wont, they know about it.
    Also, so your not able to run the game. But this is in no way something on your end? I am running a crappy year old laptop from a no credit needed store, and I can play. The only time I had a major problem, customer service was right on it with me, and got me back online with me just having to follow some steps they sent me.
    Yeah, your upset, and I can understand that, but your really not helping the issue with a continual rant on poor customer service and how the game is broken.
    Especially when despite some release issues, it works fine for many of us.

    3 things are currently ruining ESO:
    1) Exploiters
    2) Botters
    3) *** supporting the groups above

    Currently the ratio of Bots:People is about 7:1 (from the look of it) and keeps rising every day. It's kinda laughable that due to absence of GCD bots are actually more effective at "playing" this game than players..

    Most zones under VR are already infested, but with the speed of their leveling we'll have thousands of VR10 bots very soon.. in fact I guess they'll get there quicker than those of us who chose to quest instead of farming/exploiting bugged/flawed spawns.

    Cmon, even swtor managed to keep botters off, I expected better from ESO.

    then why didn't you read I installed the game on a completely brand new computer?
    I addressed the issues I had, searched for solutions, applied the solutions and yet it still didn't work?
    How can this be my fault? I'll reiterate, I'm not the only one encountering these issues.

    My experience been somewhat of 50/50 yeah there are plenty of bugs but the two times I needed support it was quiet pleasant and fast. Make sure you ask for support at the support page or in game. I tried messaging a admin here and she just ignored my question.

    Yes I did miss the part of a new comp install. Your correct. However you are vastly overstating when you say "unplayable for the vast majority of paying customers.' I don't seem to be seeing a world devoid of players.

    As far as customer service I'm sure he or a chimpanzee could do a better job. The last story quest "Messages Across Tamriel" is broken for me and a lot of people. I'm still after 5 emails trying to get this fixed so I can progress to the VR zones which require the main story to be finished.

    Customer service replied telling me to abandon the quest. Main story quest cannot be abandoned and they should know that. So my conclusion is customer service is full of idiots as I received that response 3 times before I got a semi helpful response that still didn't solve my issue.

    This is a great game, but a broken main quest leaving 2/3 of pve content unavailable to me is a deal breaker. I'm not unsubbing yet as I do love the game, but they have until the 7th and if my issue isn't fixed I am unsubbing. I'm not paying them anymore for a broken product and *** poor customer service. I should note that customer service does respond in a decent amount of time and they're polite but unhelpful and helpful is the first thing I look for in customer service. Quick but useless responses are still useless.

    39k/yr is actually not bad for a 23 year old. You will be met with idiots who claim they were making 6 digits+ at that age, which is almost certainly a lie.
