Looks like most picked Varen. He wanted to redeem himself and this was the ultimate way, Plus Lyris and Sai had there new relationship and lives ahead together.

The voice actor for Varen is Michael Gambon who played Dumbledore in the HP movies. Well, except for the first one. And the last few ones where he is no longer around.

Varen. I do all the stuff at the beginning, help him along the way, then midway he's all like, "Yo, I'm actually the guy who caused all this. Sorry. Didn't wanna tell you cause...uh... reasons!" Nope. Nope. Made me mad. Betrayal!

I was glad I send him to be eaten by that red diamond spell. It's what he gets! I was actually happier when he died than I was when Mannimarco died. Though to be fair, I didn't believe that was the end of Mannimarco, until I was fighting Molag Bal and realized Mannimarco still wasn't around.

And, it was pretty symbolic and all. Plus, Lyris and Sai are happy. Everyone who didn't lie to me wins!

Autocorrect wants Mannimarco to be Macaroni. Fear the Mannimarco and Cheese!

Sai had annoying invisible "TALK TO ME" hitbox.

He deserved the death penalty for making me talk to him too often while trying to loot.

I picked Varen because he basically told me I felt betrayed by his actions, and then brought it all up again well after I forgot. "It's all my fault. You're angry at me. I suck." Nah man it's fi- "NO. If you want to kill me in the end, I totally get it. I deserve it." Eh, fine, saves me the trouble of picking.

Varen, then I realized you get theIr weapon so I gave my wife the staff and had her sacrifice Sai for the sword. Next character is doing FG at VR 12 so I can get my Veteran Prismatic (so wish I had thought about that earlier).

I was also hoping to fight Mannimarco again. Honestly, he was the best fight in the MQ and I would have loved to do it again.

I hope so; there isn't much point in the choice if there are no consequences from it. And 'different quest reward' isn't much in the way of a consequence.

I killed Sai but i regret it. I really liked Varen and i felt bad if he didn't get to see his work in defeating Molag Bal pay off by killing him.

Varen because I dislike his character. He is annoying, always comes off as if he is agitated, and also even though it wasn't directly his fault, it was still his responsibility.

All modern game plots require a blood sacrifice. Didn't you get the memo? I am surprised that it isn't the protagonist that has to die at the end.

The amount of people sacrificing in this game is ridiculous(at least in the Pact). I stooped counting around the tenth npc that decided that he wanted to die for the greater good .

In DC I had to cut the hearts of out Wyresses as literal sacrifices, in AD I've basically been facemelting people with this thing called a Malacath stone. Too many sacrifices.

'too many sacrifices' every single player character is a sacrifice. This game is founded on cults and deity worship, of course there will be sacrifices.

Varen, he did cause this after all with his greed. What got me upset is I freed Manimarco with the WHOLE PURPOSE of sacrificing him to save the other three!

I decided to sacrifice Sai as I thought he wouldn't mind. Imagine if I did that to Lyris. He'd kill me. Varen was out of the question, how could you sacrifice someone with such a voice?

Sai is a decorated old warrior, It would be a dishonor to see him dead.

Lyris was pretty cool, and the only female in the whole quest, So she got to live.

I had absolutely zero emotional attachment or intrigue involved in Varens Character. He was boring when I met him, Boring when I learned he was emperor, And boring when I decided to sacrifice him.

(Unfortunately I skipped the level 45 Main story quest while grinding in the IC sewers and went right into the "Gather army for molog bal" questline. So, I didn't actually get to sacrifice anybody. I knew it was coming though.

I also wanted the Lyris and Sai to be able to have a future together. I'm tired of so much heartbreak.

Prior to that quest, Lyris and I got pretty close. We shared a drink together, talked about the future, and tried to lighten the mood in what seemed like a dark road ahead.
It was clear to me I wanted to give the daughter of giants my seed. There was one obstacle in my way; Sai Sahan. When Abnur Tharn told me about the choice I had to make the answer was immediately clear. Sai must die.

I was sad to see it did not play out that way. She was too upset from losing the Balding, Redguard manbeast. So I went and hit up Gabrielle Benele instead. Her and Darien Gautier had a thing for a little while, but he didn't treat her right. Not the way she deserved to be treated.

As of right now, I haven't actually done the quest(the servers went down) But I'm sacrificing Varen.

He started the whole thing, he should be the one who ends it, yeah?
