Anything other than Zerg PvP?

(I have no opinion about the game that will remain unmentioned, never played it, never will, so my gestalt is completely void of any knowledge of it)

I read through most of these post but not all the way through it. I do some pvp in these types of games but mostly pve. There is one thing I want to point out...

I recall the small scale pvp in GW1 and from other games I saw the same pattern. It was a pattern of min/max, this is the build to use, if you deviated from it you were called out immediately. There was no chance to experiment. People would check you out and if you were trying anything different they would drop the match before it even began.

If they did stay in the group for the match and you lost they would blame you for the loss. There was black balling. The foul mouthed ridiculing was amazing.

There was no players helping players. If you dared try it out you better have studied & read up on those max/min guides or due to people dropping and kicking you it would be no fun at all.

It happened to me and I saw it happening to others. There wasn't enough time to stay in the match so the help was very short. Maybe point out one or two pieces of advice and telling them where to look up guides to study.

With zerging at least someone has a chance to try out a few things first. Also as pointed out by more than one person here the game is still very new, so give it time for people to settle into the pvp. I would prefer the community not to devolve into the arena mentality I have witnessed.

This, small scale PvP is hyper competitive as the best team win, if the other team win it will always be someones fail, and its never that the other team was well coordinated and played better.
In Cyrodil you also want the bad players as they absorb damage for you :)

I for one tried batlegrounds in WOW some times and did not come back however I like Cyrodil.
Grinding just make you go in circles.
Asking ZoS for nerfs is as stupid as asking for close air support from the death star.

Yes, there is. I was fishing in a river in cyrodiil near the 2 AD main keeps for about 10 minutes when another DC player snuck up on me and attacked. I incredibly barely survived despite the surprise sneak attack. There's more to PvP than zerg.

So guys you need to be standing in a remote location for 10 minutes to experience some actual PvP for a brief moment. Cyrodill is clearly designed for individuals of high caliber. Zergfests are the epitome of skill and organized PvP.

Yea definitely don't add any new PvP content. I'm afraid of competition and I dislike feeling inferior when people better than me outplay me in a fair scenario. I prefer to hide behind 400 of my teammates and throw a random golden javelin here and there for "teh lulz".

Is there anything other than zerg pvp? I like this game, alot. This is my first time really exploring into the realm of the elder scrolls, I am even playing all the older games.

I am not asking for open world pvp but maybe some battlegrounds 4v4 or 8v8 which pinpoints objectives a bit more. Not saying to get rid of the AvAvA but would be nice to get some fair numbers and not have to run around for an hour to find a couple people only to end up ganking.

I would _LOVE_ some ranked 4v4 arenas! I think it would make the game so much more rewarding to those of us who enjoy intense PvP action, without needing to control the masses to make solid progress in Cyrodiil.

The only reason Zerging is working is because theres a lack in the balance of numbers between the three.

As for 4v4 or 8v8. Im sorry but as a PvPer I dont want to see those monstrosities to find their way into this game. I like the large scale PvP and the fact that our actions there in Cyrodiil have greater implications for not just us PvPers. But everyone in the Faction we represent.

My concerns for this suggestion would be. What does 4v4 bring to the game besides demands from those playing to 'balance' the game?
