bank reset to level 1 (*update - resolved April 18/19)

    Same thing happened to me last night 4/7/2014. I logged in, and I had the Imperial Explorer pack and pets reissued (which I did not need or request). All my bank items were gone, and my bank upgrades were reset. I was able to get the items back by relogging into one of my other characters, but my bank upgrade is still gone! I also submitted a bug report, ticket, and other post in this forum.

    Beside noticing my bank got resetted, I also noticed that the completed tutorial flag was resetted as well. When I create a new character, I wasn't given a prompt to either skip or run thru the tutorial.

    I did not get Explorer's Pack at all, so sadly I cannot confirm your theory. Also my standard game code and prepaid 60 days card was applyed hour before. The reset should therfore happened after I loged in.

    Congratulations users/GAMERS, we just became testers who pay to test out the game insted to get paid. This work should be done and removed during open beta.

    My wish was and is to be part of tester as my career, so that this crap never happens and if the programmer does not repair code due to carlessness, so that I can beat the living *** out of him perosonly. Not to mention about the developer who would want to release so sloppy work.

    Can confirm that this happened to me, but that was 2 days before the bank reset... so I would not make one responcable for the other, but I think the whole incident is rether relating by DELETE and Create new Character program class, that probably calls some reset function for inventory space/items and a bed inicialization coused by lack of default arguments and/or overloaded functions. Which makes this a standard bad programing basic mistakes, that new programers do, even happens to me. I rether test therefore insted of messing up.

    And now he can't leave his mistress apartment...

    Just happened to me around 30 mins ago. (11:03ish pm cst)

    1. I had 100 bank slots (4 upgrades).
    2. Most of bank was full and lost 30+ items and since my inventory was also nearly full I lost some of them. Mostly Crafting materials that took a long time to obtain.
    3. Was in process of opening hirelings packages when it occurred on an alt.
    4. Did not enter any codes or anything account related since Sunday.
    5. I purchases the game directly from this site as a digital download.

    This is a major issue and has upset me because I do not see ZoS restoring the items lost. I would advise everyone to hold onto the duplicates Early Access mail as that can at least prove we did loose bank space.

    ATM I have no faith regarding this issue and since I am a major crafter this greatly hampers my playstyle. If ZoS does not come out with an awesome Adventure zones I fear for this games longevity as a great game, because it has to many issues atm to make it otherwise.

    ya i agree i also lost my 100 slot bank upgrade back to 60 and 35-40 items along with it, thats way to much stuff lost for my tastes after running around all week collecting stuff to use and then to lose most of it. and now i don't even wana play in fear of losing more items. and to not get your items back or bank slots back? thats unacceptable. no even more thats game breaking cause now my 30 free days are wasting away and i'm just ready to cut my losses and move on to something else if i don't get my stuff back.

    Logging back in and seen.. no refund, no items restored, no Bank accounts set back as they were. Also Exploration pack still not delivered. Got 3 mail though... from gold sellers. Zenimax you are full of lies and decide. Got 3 people hired for Support that copy-paste responses and Set statuses to resolved. I think a YouTube video of "Why not to ply ESO for another 3 month's" or till issues are repaired would be appropriate now. There is enough Material to do it.

    lol, "solved" here too, when in fact I had the issue occur a THIRD time to me this morning.

    My guess is that since they have so many open tickets, they had the bright idea to send out a mass email to every open ticket stating that everything was solved, close them, and then deal with the people who respond. They figure that would be easier than actually going through them manually.

    I feel you. That's why I did not expand any inventory any more. I try to move stuff betwean all my characters and it's a nightmare. Would the y be empty this would go, but all are already full and the greates chalange 10 Items I have to put in and out of bank again and a again...

    Paulson CSR responded to my same issue and closed it as solved also. It is NOT solved - I had the same issue happen again last night, and my bank upgrade has not been restored. I am opening another in-game ticket.

    Edit: My email came 3 minutes before Salahadin's, so this was just a mass cut/paste/close ticket response.

    Also submitted a ticket. Same issue was at the point where it costs 11000 to do the next upgrade.
    I created a new character. went through to after coldharbour.
    Logged out to character select.
    Chose my Main character.
    Get in game and have 5 new mail items the preorder and imperial bonus again.
    Hmm weird whatever............
    Later log back over to the new character and notice I have items in my inventory from my main characters bank. WTF! ebon clusters and Embroidery....so forth.
    I go place it in the bank which has 60 slots on my new character wasn't sure if this was meant to be a shared upgrade or not.
    Log in to main character and bank is now down to 60 slots . And who knows what else is missing since I kept it pretty full of crafting supplies.


    My status says waiting and I just responded back to them.

    I have had this occur to me as well. I lost the upgraded slots as well as the gold that was in the bank. I had this occur a second time as well, and now have duplicate collector items and my bank was reset a second time.

    I sent in two separate tickets. I had my email ticket closed out as it was a duplicate to a request for phone support. I am still waiting for phone support to call.

    I had the exact same issue 4 days ago, losing 30 items and 30 bank slots they were in, plus all my banked gold (cost me around 20,000g).

    I'm still waiting for any kind of confirmation of a fix or compensation.

    My items are strewn across all 8 characters as I am scared to add bank slots again, and lose my gold and items again.

    Oh and thank you Zenimax for NO DEV RESPONSE to this obviously serious issue impacting many players.

    As this has occurred twice to me, I will not be upgrading the bank or storing any gold in it until I receive a response to this issue. I am also considering deleting the first character I created as it has only occurred on that one.

    UPDATE: I received a call phone customer support, and the issue is currently being worked on. Once they get the problem fixed I was told that my items will be restored or compensated for.

    So My bags are full, my bank is full, and I lost my items. I'm not going to pay to upgrade my bank again only to have the issue repeat itself like others have stated. We getting some free game time out of this Zenimax?

    I just had the exact same thing happen when I logged in. WTF! Missing my bank slots and all the items that were in those slots plus a couple thousand gold I was saving for a new character. What gives admins? Restore our stuff!

    I also received the email stating the issue was solved. Raised my hopes. Log in, and issue has not been solved. Filled out the customer service feedback survey. Not happy. I'm not planning on quitting the game, I like the game, but this is an annoying bug and I don't feel like I'm getting any personalised customer service.

    Even an acknowledgement that the issue is know and an estimated time it will take to repair would be nice. Or an idea of how they're going to resolve the issue? Are they going to restore my bank size? Refund the gold cost of the upgrades? Just some information would be nice.

    Just happened to me now. Entered in a ticket. Hopefully they do get this fixed. Last thing I want to do is unlock the slots (again) and then they get reset... again.

    Log in and sure enough I'm still rocking 60 slots. Still missing the other 30, still missing the gold I spent on upgrades...

    I don't know how to interpret what they've said above. It's either that they've actually done stuff behind the scenes and think the issue won't reoccur, but haven't refunded the missing items/gold yet, or it's a blanket message to everyone that has a case open since they patched yesterday.

    So frustrating...

    My bank have been reset to 60 and "purged" of the gold it contained, for the third time, a few minutes ago. This is becoming more than annoying for a crafter.

    Aaaaaaaaand it just happened a third time to me. This time around I don't think I lost any items... Just three bank upgrades. If I'm not mistaken the third upgrade costs 6800g. That means that bug hast cost me 19700 gold by now...

    I stoped upgrading Bank accunts and invested into character expansion instead. This leaves me with a realy limited window of exchange space or a constant move from one character to other, whenever I try to do to different Crafting. A lot of time and effort.

    I haven't been depositing any gold unless I take it out almost instant on another character and I've been keeping my bank at 60 slots even though I have 90.

    Bank slots reset....got my imperial items and pre-order items sent to me again on the same day.
