Logged in today and received a duplicate set of pre-order items, bank gold gone

Been playing since day 1 Early Start, had a full set of pre-order items in my mailbox I hadn't opened, they're still there with a delivery date of 10 days ago.

BUT, when I logged in today I got a duplicate set. WORSE, the gold in my bank has gone! No items seem to be missing but all my gold has gone.

Now, before someone suggests I've been 'hacked', I don't believe it, the receipt of these duplicate items (with a delivery time of 15 mins ago, ie. the time I logged in today) can't IMO be a coincidence.

How do I open a ticket for this? The in-game /bug system has no category for bank/inventory bugs and also says I'm not to expect a response .. I DO expect a response to this so how to I report it?

    Same happened to me, I reported it as in-game issue: item, then wrote the specifics in the text field. Considering things in the bank as an item restoration issue.

    The bugs are almost amusing, so don't get too disheartened, remember that they have logs and can look back to see where things split off and vanished.

    For me: all toons on various factions could view the shared bank except for one poor little outcast, and 60G I'd deposited vanished.

    It's entirely possible, the universe is funny like that, and yes: I got duplicate ingame email with all the pets, scroll of mara.. I almost thought "okay they've severed this toon from the ones my main holds so they gave her her own? - and charged me 60G?" ;)

    This happened on Monday so I'm being chill, didn't check her last night but will tonight - I expect after a little while this will be sorted.

    I don't mean to be ungrateful, since you need the pets, but these extra buggers are taking up valuable bag space!

    Yes, sorry they got sent to me, the complete set of 5 items are now duplicated.

    Okay thanks, I used the 'ask for help' and ticked 'gameplay' .. it opened a ticket but unlike the RMT spam reports I make I've had no e-mail confirmation of it so right now I have no idea of its number (if it exists).

    Given the many people posting that they still haven't got the stuff back they lost a week ago when the bug which Zenimax claimed to have fixed first struck, I'm not sure "in a bit" will mean what you and I probably use it to mean. ;)

    This is a major game bug. Do you keep playing b/c it looks like it repeats itself and Zenimax hasn't been able to fix it in a week and the bank slots nor the items have been replaced for people.

    I've had the same issue.
    Petition was sent and the bank/items are being looked into, I would recommend anyone who has had that issue send a email petition via the game.

    1) I lost only my gold
    2) I got the duplicate items

    Seems to me these are two potentially significant differences, especially the res-sending of the pre-order and beta-gift items which I cannot believe is coincidental to my losing my gold.

    It was for that reason I created a new thread emphasising the duplication aspect.

    One more thing, I created another new character and didn't get the 'skip tutorial' prompt!

    Seems like part of Zenimax's system thinks this is an un-played account before today, two things happened which seem to indicate this!

    I now seriously doubt whether my loss of gold is in any way related to the 'known bug' people referred to earlier.

    I have had this occur twice now. Lost both the upgrade bank slots, and the deposited gold. I now have two of each of the collectors items. I currently am not certain about using the bank since this has already occurred twice. I am still waiting for a response from phone support, but my ETA.

    I am considering deleting the first character I have created in hopes that it will resolve the problem.

    After the first time this occurred, I logged out of the game and back in. When I went to sign into my account I received a message stating that my computer was not authorized for the account (although I have only used this computer through the beta testing and live play). I received an email containing a code that had to be entered in order to login.

    I agree, I've emptied my bank and am kicking myself for not doing so earlier, I was actually going to take my gold out today but too late, Zenimax's system screwed me before I did.

    Now, every time a damned NPC tells me "our banks are the most secure places in all Tamriel, we pride ourselves on out services" I wish this was a PVP game where I could kill NPCs. >:)

    Every time I hear this I grind my teeth a little more, doesn't help I keep checking to see if my slots are back and I can drop all this crafting junk back in there.
    I guess I should just make sure more mules.

    I would love to pay a little gold for a second pledge of Mara, hopefully they will implement that as a feature instead of a bug in the near future. o:)

    Same thing happened to me. Lost slots in the bank (= lost gold & hours of time). It took 4 days before got any response and the response was "Resolved - we pushed a patch. sorry it took so ling to get back to you". Nothing about the lost time, gold and items.

    Happened to me also just now. Got duplicate beta monkey and treasure maps.
    all my bank was reset with items and slot numbers.
    i can see the items from bank spread across my 2 alts but my main cannot see anything in the bank.

    Interesting, I had one time when one character only saw one item in the bank out of the 27 that were there when the problem hit. Logged him in again after trying another character and this time he saw everything. To my mind that's the weirdest thing of all I think.

    Swapping toons to move inventory (mats) into storage and bam, back to 60 slots, lost banked gold, and only 5 items in my bank. Utter BS that this was fixed in the recent patch as it is still happening. Doubt we will ever get the bank space back and the lost items, or ever see the banked gold we once had. Glad I made the decision to only get a one month sub as all these bugs still in the game from beta (that they claimed to have fixed but are still broken) and new ones emerging that they have been aware of since day one of early access that have yet to be addressed.

    Yeah, that's something I was worrying about yesterday once I'd emptied my bank but need to mule some stuff, since Zenimax have provided no information about this we (the players) have no idea what to avoid, your experience sadly is proof of what I was worried about, that right not it's not possible to safely transfer between characters on just one account.

    I have two accounts so I can shuffle stuff but it's a pain, made worse due to the faction system.

    All in all I think this is probably the most destructive bug I've seen in an MMO, worse by far even than bugs that cause random server crashes, worse even than the rollbacks occurring in Greenshade last week.

    It's worse because it eliminates a fundamental feature of the game (one's bank) and makes impossible many activities if one doesn't want to risk losing stuff that is either very rare or took a long time to get: I Lost nigh on 8k gold, which is what I accumulated since day 1 of ES. That's peanuts to those that exploit the "20k per hour" method of getting gold but I'm happy doing it, I don't expect to get it back as scores of players hit by the problem last week still haven't been reimbursed and it's a safe bet those posting on here are a tiny fraction of those hit by it.

    Happened again, this time I lost everything in the bank and got a THIRD set of pre-order and beta-gift items in the mail

    This is DEFINITELY related to logging in a character which skipped the tutorial, both times this has happened it was logging in the same character, the only one I ever skipped Coldharbour.
