Please take a moment to participate in each Dynamic Encounter before submitting your vote. I'm posting this a few hours before Season One officially begins, but you can vote if you've already participated in these events on the PTS.

Which of these three Dynamic Encounters do you like the most? Additionally, what other ideas for future Dynamic Encounters do you have, and which zones in the game should new Dynamic Encounters be added to?

    What's a dynamic encounter?

You can read the full news article here, but I'll give a quick summary.

Dynamic Encounters are a new kind of activity for ESO, being added in Update 50, Season One. They're sort of like Incursions, as they are group events in the open world that players are expected to help each other out with. Dynamic Encounters have several stages and have a variety of tasks for you to do in each stage, awarding you with loot at each stage. Some of them require you to move across the zone, and it is possible to fail these events; they restart every 30 minutes.

Each Dynamic Encounter (the three listed in the poll) has a different theme and activities that players must do to successfully complete it. Each gives different loot as well. I imagine the loot tables, theme, and nature of the activities will influence the poll results.

    What's a dynamic encounter?

Basically they're quests that you dont need to pick up to complete, you just find the encounter or join in the area of an existing one and you are apart of it (and a map icon appears on the map to let everyone know an encounter is active when one is found). They have varied tasks and combat situations through multiple stages to complete, them rather then just kill trash mobs and a boss. Some of the more unique ones are putting out fires using buckets of water, leading panicked horses to safety, or tracking an NPC across a zone.

They can drop pretty neat rewards too. Like the note fragment for the Rogue's Refuge House, allesian rebel outfit styles, and Nowhere Vault Keys.

I have not found any way to see whether they are about to be up. I just have a character logged in at all three start spots and rotate them to check.

It's a Skill Style for the Blood Scion Ultimate in the Vampire skill line. It's called "Blood Scion, Coldharbour", and it gives the model a pale texture while changing the VFX from red to blue.

Wish there was something like the UI we had in night market that showed when the skirmishes were expected to start. Waiting for these or porting around in a loop checking is not super enjoyable, and being in the right place at the right time just through normal gameplay seems unlikely.

Agreed. I have no idea where these events start, and I'm certainly not going to waste time hanging around in a zone waiting for something to happen. It would be nice if there was an option to receive an announcement, regardless of which zone you're in, when one of these events is about to start.

I hopped on for a few minutes to try it out. The Vampire one was running. I participated for about three minutes before it got repetitive and boring. Didn't really seem to attempt to surprise me with anything and even if it did, there were enough other people there that it wouldn't have mattered anyway. Even on the hardest difficulty, it really makes no difference if there are a dozen others there on the easiest one-tapping everything in sight. It basically boils down to being a mobile dolmen.

After several more hours of playing, I find that the Glenumbra Dynamic Encounter is much more prone to failing. Actually, we got to the final boss and the NPCs we were protecting died at the last second, so we wasted thirty minutes of our time waiting for the event to begin.

The Stonefalls and Auridon Dynamic Encounters seem to be far less likely to fail. The former is similar to the event in Glenumbra, but with far fewer enemies and fewer fail conditions, while the latter is almost entirely composed of non-combat focused objectives.

I do wish the drop rates for the Granny's Eel Pie recipe were increased, though. I've been farming the Stonefalls Dynamic Encounter for it but I haven't seen anyone get it yet. This is where it's supposed to drop, right?

It's a horrible design, no timers, completely random, and it you dont happen to check each map every five minutes it will be done and then you have to wait for, no one knows how long, cause still no timer. At least when WOW implemented these things there was a timer. This is just bad design.

Yeah, there definitely needs to be some way to tell when these things are going to start. From what I can tell they've got a 30 minute cooldown between appearances. Would be nice if they just started on the hour and half-hour so you could plan around them.

I think my favorite event is the one in Stonefalls because of little plot twist
I was like "why is there a werewolf Behemoth in Stonefalls? ...oh, it's Granny werewolf!.."

I love such events in GW2, so it's great to see few of them in ESO now :) Atmosphere is the same - lot of people around, I love this! But the lack of timer for each map event is very discouraging :(There absolutely should be permanent timer countdown to the event respawn on the upper right corner of the screen, if you are in Auridon/Glenumbra/Stonefalls.

    P5i3wG0.jpeg

Also, I didn't like the item competition between players, but luckily the participation requirements are very generous  I arrived to Auridon farm, some enemies spawned, I did some area damage skills and some area heals, I never managed to do any other event objective because by the time I could grab a bucket of water, other players already did this event phase... but in the end I got achievement for saving the farm and could loot chest! :)

Also, I was lucky to complete each of these events yesterday, and for Stonefalls and Glenumbra I even could repeat them. But then I wasted lot of time map hopping and never finding active event again :(

In the middle of the night on my server there was maybe 15 people doing Glenumbra event, and some dds were parsing on immune stone pillars without using special event item... This gave me Night Market ptsd from Sorrow' District skirmish :#

So, after being lucky enough to be in the right zone at the right time (after waiting wasting 30 minutes), participated in the Auridon dynamic encounter and did not receive credit for completion and no loot at all while others at the encounter did.

    What causes this?

So long as one person beams it, the rest of us can damage. More efficient to preDOT and dps while the light holders beam.

I like overland events like this. The group is so large one can play it on "vet" overland setting and quickly work ones way to the vet overland achievements.
