    No, I'm not enjoying it!
So... I did three of the dailies (the siege camps, the souls and the crafting) until I ran out of quests.
Then I opened the boxes and took screenshots of each one.
These are the 18 boxes that I opened. These are the 'once in a lifetime' rewards that you get for the dailies.
I pretty much deconstructed everything, sold the rest, learned the style page and the Haj Motas and ignored the rest.
I did get one motif page, but that was from the siege camp reward, and it took 15-20 camps to get it.
For a 'once in a lifetime' event... this is sad. Really, really sad.
From now on I'm just popping in to get the golden chests and that will it for the day.

    I haven't participated.
What I find disturbing, is when I heard that PC NA was supposed to be in last place... this should also be VERY disturbing to ZOS! The fact that their largest player base is not even competitive (if true), should be worrying indeed.

Things are so bad that a few of their stream team members are playing New World.

New World just made their Angry Earth expansion free for everyone, while simultaneously dropping yet another completely free expansion in Nighthaven.

You’d almost have to be crazy NOT to be playing New World right now, I know I just picked it up.

Funny this. I actually had started playing New World a month before the Nighthaven expansion launched... and have to say I've been enjoying it a lot... to the fact of already having over 300 hours into it so far.

    This is completely manipulated though.

If I were ZOS, I'd absolutely try to set it up that a console server 'won,' especially since the winner gets to be the first to get into ESolstice, and Console is always getting things 2 weeks behind in the first place. It makes perfect sense for them to want to get a console server to win it so the consoles don't feel left out.

I wouldn't have the PC servers fully last though; that does make it look completely contrived. Also the NA servers are already feeling quite put-off because of the lack of an in-person event (when EU had their anniversary one, and then they still get yearly Taverns while NA only gets small things that attached to other conventions in the middle of a week with barely any notice. That means the only people who can go to NA 'events' are full-time content creators, while normal people can go to EU's events), so it does seem strange that they set it up such that all the NA servers are behind all of the EU ones.

Like, I just think that it's kinda grindy. It's also supposed to be about cooperation, but a lot of the time it's just players fighting over mobs to kill. While I appreciate harder bosses spawning in delves and public dungeons, I don't like that the boss spawns are locking me out from getting the achievements.

Like, overall I don't think that it feels like an epic event. It just feels like I'm standing in line waiting for stuff and grind.

I would love it if there were a way to determine current console population numbers. ZOS isn't about to release those numbers because one of the EU servers isn't exactly setting records. But I'd be interested to see the PSNA numbers over the past couple of years because it has been absolutely thriving with new/incoming players over the last 18 months or so.

I honestly wouldn't mind it so much if it was just seven camp defenses a day (and seven Vitrified Souls quests per day, which should be close to simultaneous with the seven camp defenses). Seven extra writs per day is just tiresome, though--not hard, just feels pointless.

But the seven fetch quests that put you in competition with other players for kills and then low drop rates on top of that? Utterly. And. Completely. Unacceptable. How do they keep repeating the same mistakes, especially mistakes this blindingly, painfully obvious, mistakes there was no defense for making the first time?

The drop rate on motifs has been fine. The drop rate on style pages has been fine. The drop rate on new furniture plans has been, once again, utterly and completely unacceptable. Are there any cool new non-plan furnishings? If so, I haven't seen one yet. Imagine trying to convince your players to do twenty-eight dailies per day and only giving them decent rewards in the first two or three boxes?

I'm genuinely starting to wonder why I've sunk eleven years of my free time into a game marked by an endless parade of baffling bad decisions.

Seeing PC % under Playstation % made me realize that I was wasting my time, so I stopped completing blue box tasks.

Honestly, I find it kind of boring. The drops are 99% overland gear. The go fetch furs, sap, and such, have a really poor drop rate. The most fun I had was running public dungeons to kill off the replacement bosses as they were a bit tougher that the originals but that got old pretty quick.

Hope this is the last of this type of event, and the last of the Season Pass mode.

This event is boring. It's a a ridiculous grind for extremely poor drops that come at a worse drop rate. It seems to me that management on this game has really fallen on their faces. It seems like it's time to replace decision makers in several areas, including combat design and event design.

Phase 2 will have more attacks, that will help. There isn't much motivation to do quests besides for the daily motif and style for me. You cannot earn more than one a day.

They really need to fix the vitrified souls though, on my Arcanist it feels like they barely drop at the camps if there is high pop. 100% drop rate might make doing the repeats more bearable but I probably won't grind many.

I do look forward to the fortress attack though and getting to explore the rest of Solstice.
