Zenimax and Amazon dropped the ball.

So I pre ordered the Imperial collector's edition the first week of February from Amazon and the status has said expected deliver date of 4/4/2014, which is what you would expect right? Well as of last night the status of my order was still not shipped. I was hoping for a glitch.

So this morning I received an email saying they do not know when they will get the items will be available and completely dropped an expected ship date! Are kidding me? So now I am out the preorder and a game code.

I understand that Zenimax probably had no idea the amount of collector's editions that werw going to be ordered, but it is not like they put them on sale last week, they were available for order TWO MONTHS AGO. Zenimax had more then enough time to be able fill the orders for the physical copies.

And yes I am well aware some people received their copies.

If those of us do not get or physical copies for some time so be it, but either Zenimax or Amazon need to at the very least provide us with game codes so we can continue to play.

    I pre-ordered the diablo 3 CE. I canceled it last minute because there was an issue and went to walmart and just picked up a standard copy. Received the Diablo 3 CE in the mail anyway (freebie). Hope you get it worked out. I've never had any real issues with Amazon. Usually they are top notch.

    Is the email i received only a couple hours ago. I as well had my delivery date of 4/4/14 but now may not get my box until may 4th or not at all.

    I'm beyond disappointing and annoyed at this development. I pre ordered and I expect to be able to continue playing after sunday. As it stands, I don't know if me or my friend who is in the same situation will get our explorer's pack now if and when our boxes arrive.

    Zenimax or Amazon needs to do something about this.

    That is the exact issue. All they need to do is send us the codes, it is that simple. The physical copies can be delayed as long as they need.

    This one understands your worries and has some words of advice. I purchased the hard copy imperial for my pet. The amazon men send me mail this morning with information of whereabouts of package. Ri'Dariit ordered it the second it was available for coin. This one thinks TRG will get his shipped in order it was placed. This one will leave a Septim for Akatosh that you will get your item. soon.

    I also pre-ordered through amazon and have now been told I won't get my box. I'm OK with waiting for the box, but Our early access runs out on sunday! Without the retail key we will be up the creek without a paddle. and Furthermore, even if I wait a month and THEN get my box, will it have the explorer's pack codes in them? I understand that the explorer's pack is a pre-order only thing, so if Amazon has to wait to get more boxes in will they be pre-order boxes or live version boxes?

    Overall this entire situation is turning into a mess, and something definitely needs to be done to help the people that have dropped $100+ on this game specifically for all the bonuses.

    I also ordered the first week of February. It was listed as instock. I also got this message today AFTER my order was shown as shipping. I talked to customer support this morning too, and they told me all was well, my order was good to go! 2 hours later I get the message my order is delayed until May 4th!


    Also, if they are out of the physical copies, they are out for good. There was a limited number of the Physical CE version! We are screwed!

    mine hasn't shipped yet but i never got anything saying it wasn't going to it still says estimated delivery would be tonight at around 8:00.

    I haven't seen my shipped yet either, also says today. If I don't, this could be bad. Especially since my main is imperial character. I hope its resolved for you and rest of us. And I hope ESO is aware of the issue and willing to give codes out to keep us playing until we get physical. Otherwise I guess I'll get digital copy.

    ordered mine on feb 3rd but when I checked it it says "shipping now" on the site but when I click that it says

    "We are processing your shipment now. We'll send you an e-mail when it has shipped. You can still request cancellation if you’ve changed your mind."

    so I guess i'll see my email soon?

    I had the same exact thing happen to me this morning, This was after a Amazon Rep told me Last night that the game would ship and i would get it tomorrow. I just had this feeling i was gonna wake up to bad news. Sure enough i got a email from amazon saying they need more time for a estimated delivery date. Im beyone irritated and frustrated about this. what the hell am i suppose to do now? mulitple people have made posts to not only amazon but also to Zenimax and i feel like this issue is being ignored

    I called Amazon support, they're out of Imperial Editions. As we all know, since there's only a limited number of copies of the Physical Imperial Edition, we won't be receiving ours. Please don't fault ZeniMax here, Amazon oversold their stock.

    Personally, I only pre-ordered because I wanted the statue and book, so I'll be waiting a couple months to see if the game progresses/stabilizes/succeed. I suspect it will, but I'd like to save my money until I know I'll enjoy the game.

    Best of luck to y'all in the meantime, hope this gets sorted out.

    The big step you want to watch for is your card being charged. If that happens, you're ok even if the shipment winds up a little late.

    I had a feeling this was going to wind up happening. Amazon sold out initially within 2 days in January.

    Didn't make a lot of sense for them to restock a couple times in February when no one else was able to get more in.

    Kinda weird since Amazon usually isn't bad about overselling unlike Best Buy and Gamestop.

    If it helps, you guys still have a chance of getting the box. If Amazon has as many pre-order fail on payment authorization as they seemed to be expecting, it'll free up copies.

    I ordered mine on january 30th, amazon is telling me my copy won't be here until april 12th... So all of us are going to miss game time, maybe even not get our boxes? :(

    I pre-ordered month ago from Futureshop, was emailed early access, but the physical delivery bot expected til april 8th :( but only can play til the 6? If u got early access should be proof u bought something!

    Having the EXACT same issue here as well... Got the same email as everyone else. My question is @ZOS_JessicaFolsom, if I order a digital CE now, will I LOSE my Explorer's pack benefits and all that since apparently Amazon doesn't even know what's going on with their own systems?
    I'm also curious as to when exactly we have until to enter our "physical codes" to avoid lockouts... I've remember reading on the beta forums it was 48 hours (also, at what point do the 48 hours start?), but that you stated that it was something that ZOS was looking into as well @ZOS_JessicaFolsom Clarification would be amazing.

    I'll include a transcript of the support chat I had with Amazon this morning as well.... but I feel like it was more their way of saying that they don't really know anything at all...(He/she states that the "inventory approval was successful", but for all I know that's their way of saying to shut up and deal with it till they get more copies...I dunno.)

    Sadly, even if this is true, it sounds like I won't get it until next Friday at the earliest, since Amazon is "refunding" my shipping charges, but knowing them, it means (IF) it shows up, it'll be sent at a snails pace. I think I'm just going to avoid buying physical CEs of anything from now on, unless I can actually get them IN the store.

    I'll certainly respond back if Amazon is true to their word about this though.

    I had this exact same conversation with a customer service agent, only to be told by another that it wasn't true, and that if you got the delay message they were out of stock for a month at minimum.

    Thanks for the update. Lets hope they do get it going and maybe a shipment was just slow getting to their warehouse. They might have inventory but something else is slowing them down. We hope.

    I'm in the same position. I got told 1-2 weeks, though.

    I am beyond upset about this - I should have gone to the GameStop like I had planned.

    I shouldn't have trusted Amazon. :(
