Get rid of Rushing Agony from PvP right NOW please

    This may seem like a silly question, but is "Rushing Agony" a non-English translation thing? I see it on these forums a lot, even though the set is called "Rush of Agony" in-game.
    The game itself has no idea what to call it.

    Remember when you were a kid, playing Monopoly, or maybe battleship, and that one friend had house rules that basically always gave them an advantage and went clearly against the rulebook? Or it was a rule they didn't tell you about but 'oh its just how we always played, by the way, I win" you know? Rush of Agony is that friend.
    It's the set version of a character designed by an 8yo. So anyway, he can fly, he has laser eyes, and machine gun arms, and he can teleport, oh and he's invincible, NO you can't do that he has anti-anti-invincibility...

    They can't... and they can't make it respect distance threshold. Like I said, they created a set that theor code base can't control and is broken. Well, it's broken even if it did follow los and distance, but this o ly makes a bad situation worse.

    Agree with OP. This stupid set and others like it make PVP a joke and it becomes about gimmicks instead of players actually having any skill at playing the game. Ball groups are stupid and when I see one I literally leave to go somewhere else in Cyrodiil. Is this good gameplay? I don't think so.

    Couldn't agree with this sentiment more. I have quit cyro for years now because of this and dark Convergence. I might go take a rss to test my build with continuous ince in a blue moon, but that is about it.

    Now, with this new bg format, I am seeing more and more roa in bgs. If this continues I, for one, won't stick around too long. The only thing left will be IC and that is usually dead.

    So, read between the lines zos. One person being able to control an entire battlefield is not balanced. It doesn't get any simpler than that.

    Exactly! And it is why this set has always been referred to as "Crutch of Asininity" by all the members of my PvP guild. They also made lyrics to Coolio's "Gangsta's Paradise" which refer to Cyrodiil now as a "Zergling's Paradise".

    All this set does is reward terrible PvP players — who hunt down people 15v1 and then bag them. It promotes toxicity and makes any kind of smaller scale battle in Cyrodiil impossible. It's join a ball group, a mini Ulti-dump bomb ball or a Zerg now in Cyrodiil or else face certain death, which is why the long time PvP community is leaving this game in droves.
    But yeah ZOS...Cloak is the problem.

    Memba you had to wait for the enemy group to be in the right choke point or bunch up on their own to bomb them?

    The jury has given its verdict; repeatedly, loudly, and unanimously. We just need the Judge (ZOS) to hand out the sentence. (Only works vs monsters, so PvE is still OK.) Why are we still in this courtroom? Why can we not proceed forward?

    To be honest, I do one ic daily and then bounce. It's always 8v1 there and you get the added benefit of free bags when you make them work for the x.

    This set ruins pvp for all the reasons stated by others. BGs has pretty much become about bombs and heals because both turn the tide fairly well. This set just enables bombs and pulls to ridiculous amounts.

    DC was nerfed in part due to such frequent pulls so it makes no sense as to why this set is allowed to remain as is when causing similar issues.

    The pull radius also seems busted in that I get pulled from distances that to me appear to be outside of the set specs.

    I think it's fine to have an alternate to DC but the alternate should work from the same overall rules.

    At least with DC there's a decent cool down and some level of counter play. You also kind of need to think about how and when you want to use it. With Rush you can just keep trying without really trying to setup anything.

    24 plus man DC and EP ballgroups continue to crutch hard on this set, spending their entire evening running around BB and Fare every single night, every single day.

    Last night I had the speed sigil in a bg when I got pulled by a nb running this set in Reman's Folly. I got pulled while downstairs, ran up the stairs and got half way down the opposing stairs near my base when this set pulled all the way back up, then back down the stairs, at least 20m if not further. It's not lag, it's just a broken set that cheezers and try-hards take advantage of because zos won't fix or remove from pvp.

    Meanwhile, they nerf null arca... priorities...

    imagine we are at an are where one of zos's teams are having this huge revelation that skills, sets, and effects are out of hand and too complicated. Then another team is just pumping out dlc set and skill updates completely opposite to their revelation.

    "what if we had a set that did this..... and this......and does a cc.... and does aoe damage..... and had the damage scale with crowns bought over the past 2 weeks.....and unlocks a motif everytime it procs....and....and.....and"

    a complicated design does not mean it is a good design.

    All ball groups are crutching on RoA, not just those on DC and EP. AD balls crutch on it too. Almost every NB is running the set I think, in ball group or not.

    As a werewolf tank for pve I find it quite useful all they need to do is modify the pull condition to only affect monsters and that would likely solve the PvP issue with this set being abused.

    This fix would solve the problem for the most part, but RoA would still work on NPC's guarding resources and doors. ZOS should just admit their mistake and remove the set from the game. But I can't recall even a single example of ZOS admitting they've made a mistake and reverting it.

    thats part of the fix needed, but the skill still needs a telegraph counter prior to the pull. Much like how DC has the aoe animation first so you can avoid/prevent it.

    The chains need to be more pronounced for atleast 1s before the pull occurs.

    I dont agree with this. Even with immunity, the set completely controls a battle every 8 seconds. That is the antithesis of balance.

    Edit: even if it were every 60 seconds it would be too strong. Most if not all utimates aren't even this strong. It needs to be monsters only. It's completely stupidly broken and doesn't belong in competitve player vs player environments.

    Neither does dark Convergence for that matter.

    At this point, I'm not even for making it give CC immunity because it's so buggy. I'd prefer only work on monsters or otherwise nerf it out of existence from PvP. It's gone on way too long
