I usually like the event, but I particularly dislike the current PvP meta, so I will skip PvP for a couple more patches.
PvEers will be especially frustrated, since the new knockback and pull scripts are ubiquitously used in PvP. Those who dread getting ganked/zerged will experience a new, unprecedented level of exasperation, thanks to the introduction of scribing in Update 42.

Yeah, I feel like a yo-yo now all the time and constantly hear breaking glass. Lol.
How about ZOS limits the next PvE event to only 60-80 players participating in the event at any given time and see how that goes over? I'm serious. Why not treat the PvE community the same way they treat the PvP community?

It didn't used to. In fact, until a few years ago performance during MYM events actually improved.

It's actually been performing pretty good for me-- only a few occurrences of sudden lag or temporary freezes so far, and most of the large-scale fights have been relatively smooth in that respect. It might be that I'm playing during "off" hours, esoecially on PC EU, but when I was on PC NA last night it was pop-locked and ran pretty smoothly.

At which point you can either think "I hate PvP" and never join in again, or you can think "Of course I was, it's PvP!" and carry on with the fun.
I'm hopeless at PvP, I just don't pay enough attention... killed someone manning a ballista who didn't notice his health decreasing? That would be me. Took someone out while they were looking at their map? Me again. Swarmed over someone who turned a corner and ran into your zerg? Me.
Still, you gotta give it a go... I get my fair share of kills, and always think "You should be ashamed, dying to me!"
Totally agree with what you said, but the problem is: To me it feels like other players are just wasting my time... Get ganked, have to walk/mount/zone back for a few minutes, instantly get ganked again, rinse and repeat. That is not fun at all! Taking 20 minutes to just hand in ONE quest, like what happened to me in cheydinhal today due to gankers, is not fun or rewarding at all. Just a big waste of my time.SeaGtGruff wrote: »One thing I'll say about PvP in general is that a lot of players take it really, really personally-- to a potentially unhealthy degree, in some cases. It's a game, so you should be playing it to have fun. If you kill me, there's no need to be a jerk about it. And if I kill you, there's no need to get nasty about it. We should all be able to congratulate each other for playing well, regardless of who won and who lost. You kill me, then (if I'm lucky) I kill you, and we rinse and repeat.

I run a Hot Oil training academy in Cormount, all AD are encouraged to attend, all DC and EP are due in court for treachery against the Queen
