I hate that we have to do the Imperial City twice a year, some years even more often. That area and the "gameplay" there are simply disgusting.

Your poll shows bias as one can only hate the event if they go to the PvP areas to run PvE content. The event doesn't bother me and I think it is good to have something for the PvP crowd. I'm fine as a PvE player having to go into the PvP areas and running PvE content for tickets and some AP/Telvar. It also doesn't bother me that due to unfavorable maps I might decide to forgo the event tickets that day. In fact I often skip IC because I just don't want to deal with finding a ball group to tag along with. In a broad based poll of only PvE players I think you would find my perspective is the more common one than those that "hate" everything about it.

I'm indifferent to it, so I don't love or hate it. In the past, I've done some battlegrounds, but now that there's an event a month, I'll just sit this one out. I had a problem spending my event tickets during the last event because there wasn't anything I wanted (I'm over the style pages), so I'm not worried about not having the event tickets I need for whatever the next morph item is.

I don't mind this event. I see it as a way to gain some assault and support skills for my alts. I might also enjoy dipping my PVE toe into the PVP water (but only for as long as the event lasts).

I hate this event. I only do the PVE village dailies in Cyro and the Arena daily in IC from the relative safety of the starting platform.
This event brings out the worst in certain players who live to grief people.

They stealth and kill people as they try to turn in quests.

I know people who tried PVP during one of these events and are so put off they never come back.

It's a tongue in cheek poll that was meant for a bit of light entertainment. You really don't have to take it so seriously ;)

Also I didn't have time to run it past the ethics committee, so a thousand apologies.

Likewise, you should be aware that the last sentence above was also tongue in cheek and so you don't have to take it so seriously either.

Basically it's... not really meant to be... a serious poll... ;)

Please relax. It would simply be nice to be able to vote properly you know? Especially when maybe the results will help convince some people not to try the event.

Others have also called it biased and commented on how they can't vote for what they would otherwise vote for as well, so I don't think I'm alone in wishing you made better options.

As a PvP main player for over 8 years, MYM events used to be my favorite events. Not anymore. Not with population caps of 60-80 players/faction. You can't even get into your campaign to participate now.

ZOS used to make changes so that performance was better during MYM, but it's been a few years since they did that. Apparently people caught on to the fact that ZOS actually can improve performance in Cyrodiil and are choosing not to do so.

How about ZOS limits the next PvE event to only 60-80 players participating in the event at any given time and see how that goes over? I'm serious. Why not treat the PvE community the same way they treat the PvP community? Force the PvE community to wait in queue for however long it takes to get into only a few instances of the event that are pop capped at 60-80/faction and see what the players have to say about the limitation.

Now this I'd like to see. Pop cap the PvE events too and see how it goes. :D

As one of the "other" votes:

It's... complicated. The three (3) event tickets per day were the thing that drew me in, and "ugh this sucks, ZOS must hate PvE players" would've described my feelings perfectly. The other things (skyshards, AP, Tel Var,) were what made me persist in the folly after acquiring those precious event tickets.

And yet... there is definitely something beyond AP and masochism that keeps me coming back to Cyrodiil, even if I struggle to put it into words.

Not IC, though; that's really, truly "I desperately need Tel Var and have no other choice.

It happens, then it is over.

I don't pay much attention to when it starts, or ends, but sometimes, I stop and consider the goal of having 12 Event Tickets before it ends. If I am not already at 12 Event Tickets when it starts, of course. I almost always am. Like this year.

How about they fix their issues? BG Queues have been giving infinite loadscreens since mid April and the devs have done jack-all to fix it. If a PvP event goes live with one of the 3 PvP systems being broken, that is a ridiculous and embarrassing statement ZOS is making.

Those poll options aren't biased at all......

Ultimately, it's a good thing because it encourages some players out of their comfort zone to try something they may be apprehensive about.

There have bean many posts over the years from players who found that once in Cyrodiil, they enjoyed it more than they thought they would, perhaps becoming regulars. This is good for the health of AvA as it has such a small playerbase and needs fresh blood -- no pun intended.

From a pvp pov, I don't personally enjoy it because it's so disruptive. I don't like longer queues or easy kills. The influx of unprepared pve players results in very imbalanced teams during prime time when there is normally better balance.

I like this event. I think it helps to bring new players into playing PVP content more. Happy to help PVP newbs find their PVP feet!
I love to run the entire sewers and farm telvar by myself with the risk of running into an enemy player or group of players. My goal is to take out at least one of them before I get killed. Lol. Just one trip across the sewers can get me 6k-7k telvar. That's if I don't stop to fight bosses. But it's always exciting testing my characters against them. I by no means play the "metas".

It's also fun to play with people who are new to PVP and watch them get comfortable with it. It's actually not true that if you die in the game you die in real life, contrary to popular belief.

I love this event, and do wait for it all year- I even take time off for it because it's my favorite event. Many MYM's ago, I was picked up by a group of pact PVP players who taught me the ropes, and I've been playing for the pact ever since. I love helping to teach Cyro to new players, and helping experienced players get EMP.

Sadly my build is a little rusty because I've been sick for two months, but hopefully I can get my magplar's gear into shape within the next few days! Figuring out what gear I like is half the battle.

Also? This song right here pretty much sums up my feelings, lol

I used to love this event. I often return to the game from a long hiatus just to participate. This year I’m not that interested. Performance hasn’t been very good, the PvP meta is pretty unenjoyable, and Cyrodiil holds too few people. I’ve also noticed way less participation during these events than previous years.

I might check it out, but I’m kind of sick of how neglected all aspects of PvP are.

It's a good opportunity to get AP for transmute crystals and other rewards with the double XP
Making that my goal rather than staying alive makes it tolerable for me
What I don't like is the long wait times to get into Blackreach
It seems so counterproductive to promote a PVP event and then shut out half the players who want to participate.

    I like it.

There are many players who didn't think much of PvP ended up liking it during these events.

The PvP community is much smaller than PvE, and those who are willing to stick around afterwards, despite its fault, is a win in my books.

Honestly, MYM is the time where I avoid Cyrodiil and Imperial City and instead just have a bunch of Imperial City quests queued up in advance so each day I can turn one in and do a scouting mission because I find it brings out more of the aspects of the PVP community that I dislike. Outside of the event I might capture a camp or participate in a siege or two on the rare occasion. Having the multi-rider mount is really nice for helping other people quickly do the scouting missions too. As is the case for a friend of mine that has really bad vision and aside from the arena daily quest for Imperial City never does anything in PVP without me helping them avoid actual PVP.

So while it is easy for me to get the tickets for the event, I don't exactly participate much in the event itself and instead just take up space in Cyrodiil as I ride to whatever scouting locations me and my passenger have that day.
