Today I had 32 expired items and 2 sales when I logged on. This is getting exhausting.

    So, here's some instructions:
    1. Login in today.
    2. Pick a guild
    3. check your current listings.
    4. Cancel all that will expire in 7 days or less.
    5. Go to your mail.
    6. Download the attachments from each listing (use the auto-mail-delete X option)
    7. Refill your empty slots.

    Do this for all guilds.
Takes 10-15 minutes on PC for each guild.

You won't need to do it again for another week.

So for someone like me, who's in 3 trade guilds because that's how many it takes to get all the stuff I collect sold, you think it's reasonable to spend 30-45 minutes every week relisting items? Really?

Lodge a ticket with ZOS about the problem.
You clearly don't want any help from me.

Your posts in this thread have not been helpful. They've been an effort to defend what most feel is a horrible change.

Regular trader here, and I'm fine with the change. The economy was in free fall before this change, and I was already having to lower my prices and although the 14 day change may have had a small impact, the larger impacts had already occured in the months leading up to this change.

Gold's so easy to come by in this game with nothing to spend it on. Motifs and furniture is needed in finite quantities. How many people really deck out multiple houses? Motifs, eh, since AwA what's the point in learning them all across multiple characters. This year in particular has seen no major tradable gear sets released. The last gear set that boomed was Deadly back when Arcanist was released. Luminous ink and the skill scraps have been the only thing anyone wants to buy and they're all becoming more available. If they hit 1k per ink I might start buying them as I'm unable to get them myself (thanks borked RNG).

It's honestly always surprised me that mat prices have stayed as high as they have for as long as they have. Except for weapons, purple gear has always been fine.

Mat prices on PC were really insanely high. A lot of people are talking about the falling prices now like this is weird, but I tend to think the weird part we should be talking about is how they ever got so high. I think there was a lot of speculative momentum. For the first half of the game’s life, dreugh wax was less than 10k, sometimes way less.

Then some people accumulated lots of gold and started “flipping” (aka market manipulating). I think a lot of those flippers got caught by the falling prices and kept buying on the way down. Now they have tons and tons of mats they “can’t sell” (at least not at these prices).

And people not as much into the trading game weren’t so interested in selling their mats while the price was going up and up. It was a store of wealth. But some percent suddenly got interested as the price was going down to try to get gold before the price went down even more. Because some like me remember 1k rosins and 4k wax. That puts even more downward pressure because there are LOTS of mats in craft bags usually held off the market if prices are going up. This might seem illogical (holding when prices are going up, and selling when prices are falling), but this is also exactly what happens with speculative asset bubbles in RL.

I think the change to listing times was (mostly) coincidental.

The way ZOS treats PvP and the way the market for just about everything is bottoming out makes it feel like ESO isn't even in maintenance mode anymore.

The game wasn't in maintenance mode 5 years ago, and prices were way lower then than they are now. There is still a lot of room for prices to fall, IMO. I say this as someone who hasn't bought a gold mat from guild traders in... well, possibly ever. Daily writs give me all I need for all my toons. But I also don't sell a lot. I've sold some over they years now and then, but I have plenty of gold. Didn't really see a need to sell mats I might need eventually just to see my bank gold number go up. So, I have no horse in this race, just an observer.

I can not agree more than I already do with the OP:
The 14 days limit is honestly trash.

One of the most important things to understand is that some items that used to be available that were more expensive,
happen to be rare, not always available due limitations or are not something that people need daily basis, these items have their own specific audiences.
Those specific bueyr audiences might not always be around at first 7 days, sometimes not even before the final day(s) of old 30 days.
Often patience was the key and it was great business for those who were patient enough and didn't have a need to undercut the markets by being the lowest available.
Now that is almost impossible, unless people like me are currently relisting more often than we would have to before.
And once you are forced to list more frequently, many players are not willing to list that kind of item(s) again.
Bad news for those who are looking for something more specific, that not every people use daily basis anyway.

I am also old player what comes with trading, so I already have what I wanted and enough gold in bank.
And that's the problem, this gold pile is currently collecting dust in high ceiled bank, mostly doing nothing due a lot of my items keeps coming back to me via mail.
And since these items are not moving, I have to either throw profit out of window and try to sell items with giant negative profit or keep re-listing and add more days to my waiting game. Every time I do so, I throw more gold into void.
I have tried both and still often I keep getting items back unsold, even when I know these items used to have audience right before the 14 days change was implemented.

Since I keep getting a lot of these items back to me often, I have less space to do re-investments and I won't be using millions daily basis on markets anymore for purchasing new items.
I also am aware that many other big investors are selling much less than they used to, they won't be feeding gold back to the markets either as much as they used to.
It's so bad for many that some have even stopped to login entirely.

Markets are snowballing to the bottom and soon will drop through straight to the Oblivion, if didn't do so already.

Yesterday when I logged on I had 3 sales and 32 expired items.

This is killing my will to play. It's discouraging me from even logging on, and I've played daily for 9 years straight.

I don’t have as many returned mail messages now, but listing at 50% off means I have gone from keeping the trader full most of the time to only having 5-6 items in there.

I just don’t bother to list a lot of stuff anymore because it’s not worth the trouble.

Same. I used to be vehemently opposed to a global auction house, but the current market is making it look like a better and better idea.

I'm surprised: personally, I reset my listings every day. Some rare times, I let it for one more day, but never more. So for me, the 14 instead of 30 has zero impact.

With the prices changing all the time (especially now!), is there an added value to let items for more than one day? I prefer to review every day and adjust items based on what seems to be more "hot" than the day before.

Yep. This takes me about 15 minutes over 4 guilds. Yes, I wear the additional listing fee, because all the things I sell were free or made by me from free stuff. So, I can't possibly be losing any money.

Most people don't use ATT (although it might actually be AGS or the two working together).

A subtle feature of ATT is that items show pricing in colour ranges (deals).
    90% off = gold
    60% off = purple
    40% off = blue
    20% off =green
    or something like that anyway

With that in mind, once something you listed is more than the suggested price it goes RED.
So it's easy to scroll through your listing and see those items that are dropping in value as the prices show as red figures.

Also bear in mind that when purchasing there's a 'Deal' filter that allows you to select one, or a range of colours to search on at other traders. I always use this filter to exclude items that are RED, or from my perspective, overpriced.

What I'm saying here is that I never even see your overpriced items*, as I always filter them out.

*based on my personal pricing data from my guild memberships.

But most people are Auction House addicts and can't fathom using anything other than TTC.

Those sound like nice features. But I don't use addons at all, so unless ATT or AGS have a website the way TTC does, I guess I'll have to keep using TTC.

i cant even use TTC website anymore because its so heavily ad-laden and it blocks you doing anything if your running an adblocker

There's 3 ads on the page and they aren't even intrusive. lol

the last time i checked it with no adblock, there were banner adds on top, bottom, both sides, and if you sat on the page for a minute it would do a nearly full screen pop up ad

and personally ANY kind of ad is incredibly intrusive, distracting and clutter to the page,

Yup I've stopped playing completely now after logging in daily for 10 years, now my trading game has gone.

I Just check the forums to see if the change is being reverted.

Honestly saying, I've been tempted to stop entirely too due trading was the one big thing that kept me playing this game so many years. Currently sticking around & observing how trading will develop when summer is over, but so many returning items are definitely not motivating me.

I was at holiday recently and yesterday returned back to see how my sales went.
I have joined several trade guilds for getting more item slots for listings, so all 5 guild slots per account are used for trading.
Or should I say, were used for trading.
Yesterday when I logged in, I had inbox full of mails which consisted approx 95 % of Expired mails.
And that was just one account that I have activated for trading...

Can say that after logging in and seeing those mails, I wanted to go back to vacation lol.
