You can unlock a chest to discover only two items in it.

Ah ok - I've never seen one of those. I always have to unlock them and 19 times out of 20 I just get 2 rubbish items. I'll be taking those 50 CP points out of the Treasure Hunter perk next time I log on!
It's a tradition, or an old charter, or something...

from patch notes somewhere in 2016:

    "Treasure Chests
Treasure Chests gained from defeating a Dark Anchor have a 100% chance to drop a ring or amulet set piece from the zone they are located in.
The above is also true of Unstable Anomalies found in Craglorn.
Treasure chests found in the world have a chance to grant any set piece that can drop in that zone.
Simple chests have a slight chance of dropping an item set piece.
Intermediate chests have a good chance of dropping an item set piece
Advanced and Master chests have a guaranteed chance of dropping an item set piece.
If you have the Treasure Hunter Champion Passive, both the above chances and quality of an item will be improved."

The last item means a blue item from an intermediate chest. Not necessarily a set item

    Purple Paintings
    Blue Treasure Maps
    count for their respective colours

So if you open an intermediate chest and get a blue Treasure Map the passive is working.

I get runs of only two items. Anecdotally, I put this down to the volume of players opening chests in the area at the same time. Most occasions I get around 4-5 items.

    real Cyrodiil update & improvements

Gold road shows us majestic citadels and keeps, when cyrodiil's keeps are all same and old gen, we need new design, new strategies (grapple?), a new faction we can choose (legion? other?), maybe a new daedric artefact (staff?), etc

Tbh I expected it for the 10years anniversary but...

Design team & concept team did an incredible work in GoldRoad, really, everything is beautiful and original, this chapter is amazing, really. It gives a lot of hopes for next

Mini trial as q4 feature (just once ;) ).

Cut the number of add waves in IA to half of what we have now. Bossess are fun there, trash is a slog.

Reskins for combat pets (yes, it's a polar bear wish).

    And buff necro!

Rework Cyrodiil to be entirely a PVE zone.

Companion expansion, romance, more interaction with the world e.g more quest/zone comments.

More ingame earnable mounts and pets. Have some drop off older dungeon bosses and world bosses.

Skill styles for classes e.g mirrormoor themed crystals for sorc, coldfire for dragon knights etc.

    Bring back Q4 zone DLCs.

As an addition to or replacing what we have?

I'd like to be out of combat long enough to contemplate a future.

Also since the AWA had destroyed any incentive to do all quests on all characters, I would like those annoying quest givers to recognize I have already done the quest on at least 4 other chars in my ten years, and leave me alone.

These little chars that follow you around relentlessly should ask if I want to do their quest AGAIN!

    Centralized Market

I'm sure this is a long shot but I don't get why the market is decentralized in this game. Making it more difficult to buy the items you need is not the type of challenge I look for in a game. It's just such an unnecessary obstacle. TTC makes this bearable but I think it's ridiculous it even needs to exist.

Players could still need to join a guild to participate in the market and guild traders could probably function similarly (though I admit I don't know much about that) except the posted items would be available everywhere. Every town could have one or more access points to the world market.

To take it one step further, you could make it auction based and it would work thusly:

    BUYER:

    1. Search for the item you want and you find the last 10 prices it sold for.
    2. Put in a bid for the item and if any are for sale at or below your bid, you buy it.
    3. If your bid is too low, it stays in place until someone posts the item below your bid or you put in a higher bid.

    SELLER:

    1. Post your item for a certain price
    2. If existing bids are higher than your price, the item sells immediately to the lowest bid.
    3. If all existing bids are too low, your item stays until someone bids high enough or you cancel.

    This has a few benefits:

    1. The most obvious benefit is the market is now much more fluid. Buying and selling items is a breeze and everyone is happier for it.
    2. If you needs fast gold, you can unload an item quickly to a low bidder. Popular items would be very easy to sell.
    3. You can potentially make way more on an item than you post it for. Sell an item for 51k gold and someone bids 60k, you make an extra 9k you wouldn't have otherwise.
    4. Acquire items for a very low price. Maybe someone takes a risk and posts an expensive item for 1 or 2 gold for a fast sale and to avoid a large fees. However, a clever bidder has placed a bid for 10 gold just waiting for such an opportunity. Clever player gets expensive item for very cheap.

I'd love to see them buy into the PvP aspect of the game - in particular Cyro.

Embrace cyro instead of ignoring the issues that have been there for 7+ years. Like, full on intentional decision from the top down inside ZOS to support PVP and "fix it" and then expand on it.

I know this is very far from being a possibility but one can hope right? The industry is dying for a good MMO PvP game - ESO is that game... they just need to recognize the good of what they have. They have this bad ass house but it's sitting on a cracking foundation.

    Overhaul the combat system.

I do enjoy ESO’s combat but it’s the biggest problem and nothing else comes close.
    1. Overlapping buffs between group members are rendering entire sets useless and causing extreme Penetration discrepancies in content. The new philosophy should be “If I slap on a set, I will always be much more effective”. Super organized raid groups do not run into this issue, but is that your target audience?
    2. Set Bloat is a big problem in this game, but has an easy solution. Simply add more types of 2-4 piece stat bonuses to diversify sets. The new goal should be to help typically “bad” skill bar setups (like a full frost mage or full poison build) put out at least viable damage. EX: Ysgramor’s Birthright 2-4 pieces could each be “Frost Damage Done increased by 10%”, with the 5-piece causing your Frost skills to have a 35% chance to double cast on use.
    3. Light Attack Weaving. Light and Heavy Attacks should be considered as basic spammables and added onto the same global cooldown as our casted abilities. They will need to deal more damage and feel more weighty (add improved/multiple animations for them). Synergies, Roll Dodges, and Blocking will remain on their own separate cooldowns, which is what makes combat feel reactive and fluid. No one would be sad to see Light Attack Weaving go if the change is expertly handled, and the game would become a far better version of itself to lure back in TES players.

This is coming from someone who’s done all dungeon and trial trifectas (besides Lucent Citadel since it’s new). I can light attack weave very well, but after playing any other game, I realize ESO would be 1000% better off without it.

    Just my thoughts!

    Suggestions

Threads where players suggest either QoL improvements, cosmetics (Crown Store Wish List), classes, skills with the new scribing system, motifs for outfits, etc. are awesome to read.

There is a crown store wish list thread that has been active for years. I have linked it below. It is an official thread.

Sewer-type lairs from different regions such as Wayrest Sewer, Alik'r etc, a style of lair we've never had before.

A staff weapon representing blood magic or aether magic, it doesn't matter what you call it, as long as the visual effect is blood-red and DPS role-oriented.

3: the return of the Q4 dlc...ya know to restore so e value to ESO+

Yep, bring back population caps of at least 250/faction and invest in the server resources required to make Cyrodiil PvP fun again.

a dev team that actually played the game. If they got to experience the problem first hand maybe more would be done about it.
I guarantee, no dev has experienced 6 tarnished procs on them over a short duration. otherwise that sound effect would've been changed already.

I want an akaviri invasion themed zone expansion but based on what we know, it would either have to be either the northern half of the telvanni peninsula, or eastern Black Marsh,

The latter would be interesting though if the Argonian tribes could make it such a living oblivion for the Akaviri it kinda becomes the elder scrolls equivalent of Vietnam.

Show they truly care about the customers:

    - Fix long-term known bugs. Some of this has happened, but many others remain.
    - Improve quality of life issues in normal play, especially for things like addons help on the PC.
    - - Knowing if you can craft a motif, remembering searches at vendors, finding things throughout the system or the "going price" for current listings, etc. and many other things.
    - Communicate with players more about changes, reasons they are not changing something, etc.
    - The devs actually play the game, so they know the frustrations.
    - Minimize "busy work" in appropriate areas - gathering surveys, unlocking companions on alts, etc.
    - Fix PvP to minimize ganking rewards and allow more players at a time. Ideally allow people to face those who are about as good as they are, not just ones who will roll over them without a mass group, and possibly even then.

I want a toggle that will let me decide if my companion is free range or will stay within 12 meters of me. I'm tired of my companions acting like they are on a tumble run going half way across the zone.
and then the parrot said, "must be the water mines green too."

    • Furnishing bag would alleviate the need to turn houses into item dumps
    • I'd like to see senche mounts actually walk when you have toggle walk mode on, instead of that weird slow motion running they do
    • Fix that cursed issue where sometimes it doesn't register that you're holding the attack button and the lightning staff just doesn't fire
    • Give unarmed players the base weapon and spell damage that equipping a weapon provides by default so unarmed combat isn't completely useless
    • Account-wide scribing scripts. Obviously

Communication is only a small part of the puzzle - another part would be showing that threads like this aren't just wishful thinking and actually considering community feedback.

More crows. 🐦 More Blackfeather content! I'm obsessed with those little guys. For a little while after Clockwork, there was a little Blackfeather quest in new zone releases, but that tapered off. I'd love to see that trend continue, and I'd love another long form quest line about the crows. I'd also love to earn the title "Crow Friend." Various crow-related earnable collectibles would be great, too. 😁
Well, in the meantime, there's always
"Fear not, featherless one! Your shinies are safe with me. Safe, safe!"

[edit] Actually, I just had a great idea: why not a Blackfeather Court crow as the next Companion? :) That would certainly be a change from the usual.

i would love this. having a dev that livestreams the game out of not only enjoyment for the game but for educational purposes in a sense of explaining why they decided to do this or that in a game would be fun as hell to view. even something simple like a "we decided to put a copy of the argonian behemoth from ruins of mazzatun into bal sunnar to save resources" is still fun to know.
