I cannot even kill the boss before I crash, it is just wasting my time.

The largest distributed denial-of-service (DDoS) attack to date peaked at 5.6 terabits per second and came from a Mirai-based botnet with 13,000 compromised devices.
The UDP-based attack occurred last year on October 29 and targeted an internet service provider (ISP) in Eastern Asia in an attempt to bring its services offline.
Security and connectivity services provider Cloudflare says that the assault lasted 80 seconds but had no impact on the target and generated no alerts because its detection and mitigation was completely autonomous.

Meanwhile usual players that are never affected continue to be unaffected. Rattling off skills like there no delay.
For me this is honestly what makes it so dang frustrating. It's hit and miss for players. Some of my friends that still play have never had an issue but for those of us that do have this issue.. it's constant 100% of the time.
I've tried everything.. I know I've said it 100 times but I don't know what more I can do. I've even worked with my ISPs engineers to look into pathing/routing and they weren't able to see anything "out of scope".
Just to highlight what I've done for those new people coming to this thread with issues.
Attempted fixes that gave no improvement:
Changes made within ESO
- Fresh install on all pc's
- No Add-ons running
- Potato settings all the way to maxed everything
- Multithread on/off
PC "Stuff":
- Replicated the issue 100% of the time on three different pc's
- - 1 Intel 13th Gen w/ 2070 Super
- - 1 Intel 9th Gen with 4060
- - 1 AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D with 4090
- Tried various overclocks, standard, 1 stick of ram all the way to 64GB, no change there
ISP - During this I ran Ping Plotter 24/7
- DSL
- - Swapped out modem/router from ISPs own to gaming one from bestbuy
- -- Left settings default, no filtering, base protection kind of stuff (issue was still present)
- -- Added the ESO ports thats listed on the support page (zero improvement in Ping Plotter.... tbh I think it got worse.. can't remember exaclty though it was a while ago)
- Starlink High Performance
- - Bought the $2,500 starlink dish and priority plan "for science"
- - Used the router directly connected to pc and issue was there - tested on all 3 machines
- - Issue remained with the gaming router so factory reset and ran through the same steps I did with DSL (issue remained regardless of what settings I had)
- - Bought a name brand non-gaming and did the above steps - no difference
- Fiber
- - Moved about an hour away and got Fiber 1GBs installed
- -- Used the default modem/router and issue was still there
- -- tested with gaming router/modem, non-gaming, and even bought a Ubiquiti Dream Machine Pro to handle the network - zero change
Network
- Tried many VPNs - once in a while I'll land on a connection/route that reduces the rate in which I rubberband/dc but it's still multiple times an hour
- Wifi/hard wired, new cables (make my own but also bought new cables "for science pt2") - no change
I'd say I'm over $10,000 in the hole on trying to "make ESO work" on my side. I'm scared to see how much I've actually spent on this game since beta lol. But, I spend that much because I really enjoy the game and the friends/memories made playing it.
Anyways... for those of you coming to this thread who are having issues... here is what I have done thus far and none of it has had an impact on improving performance.
If anyone has done something that has shown an improvement please reply to this post and let me know!!
Also tagging @ZOS_Kevin just for tracking purposes. I'm sure this has all been passed to the team but... if it hasn't here is what I've done.

The problem is not on our end, after all this testing that much has become obvious, something is very wrong on ZOS's end.

I butchered my first try at quoting, Trying again.
How does one reproduce your example?

I've used mulitple VPN/GPN.
I have used multiple brands of routers. I have mixed multiple routers in the network.
I have used multiple PC, both Intel, AMD and nvidia parts. All with different network ports.

I haven't played in a long time but couldn't play for 15 minutes out of an hour. What is going on?
I have not been able to play from minute 17 to 33 of the video.

Also happens when just fighting NPCs and not any other players.
Thanks for this. We sent this write up to our engineers and they are taking a look. They may have some follow up questions @LadyGP, so just in case, keep an eye on your dms
