I needed 2 More Confetti for Mount and Maintenance is stripping me of that!

This makes no sense I needed 3 more tickets and 1 more Jubilee Gold Box to get the Confetti Horse and NOW Maintenance affecting us who did not get locked out? Am I missing something here on why they added a day to Jubilee only to strip it away? Isn't 6am EST Reset? or is it 5 am? I am on EST time.

Did they extend Jubilee? or did we literally just get raked over Coals. I spent my tickets so I could get the Confetti ending tomorrow with my Jubilee box plus buying 1. Needed 2 more.

The event ended yesterday the 23rd at 10am EDT. Even if it was extended by a day, then with the extension it would have ended today at 10am EDT. Tomorrow's maintenance doesn't overlap.

It was extended by 2 days for PC servers.
Or rather, now it was extended by 2 days for PC EU and by 1 day for PC NA...

It did on console. It was extended on PC to compensate for the emergency downtime that covered all of NA prime time last Monday.

And now that extension is essentially being pared back by this maintenance.

Jubilee was extended on PC NA from the original end time two more days, so that we had all of yesterday and today.

From past experience, maintenance around the end of an event is not uncommon even without a massive problem as occurred with the PTS, so I would advise against counting on tickets from the few (four?) hours between reset and 10 AM ET.

Events usually end at 10AM on the 'end date', so it was extended to April 25th, 10AM.
They also tend to do Maintenance on the last day of an event, so I never take the end date at face value.

Technically , if you get in just after midnight or 1am, or whatever the reset time is nowadays, you can still get those tickets, as long as it's before the 6AM eastern maintenance starts.

What are you talking about. The event was extended to end tomorrow at 9:59 am PER ZOS!

That is what i planned my tickets around or i would have bought more sooner.

Unfortunately, that’s not possible since moved the reset time a while ago. I used to do that too for the last tickets. Now it’s like just four hours or something that are often eclipsed by maintenance. ZOS should really schedule the events to end at reset now to avoid this confusion. :/

    Edit: Put much more succinctly:

If you stand next to the Impressario and eat your cake at exactly 6 am EDT, you should be able to buy the last confetti pack before you're kicked out. Not sure I'll risk it though, maybe I'll just buy the extra tickets from the Crown Store...

ETA: it seems you can get the tickets, but not spend them :(

ETA2: I managed to get my tickets and golden box before I was kicked out, so I could've gotten the horse if I hadn't bought the last confetti pack with crowns :( Oh well, I can recoup my loss by not renewing ESO+ next month :p

I remember I was on right as an event swapped over once and the event personally literally faded away as I was running to them. Possibly one of the worse feelings ever.

So unfortunately , it seems today really is the last day, sigh.

I mean, their plan from the beginning was to make people buy 5 packs from the Impresario if they wanted the mount this year.

They literally said so in the announcement.

Extending the event by 2 days on PC would have meant 2 extra packs and 2 extra sets of tickets, so we would have needed far fewer tickets to get the last pack. Now that it’s effectively only one extra day, that’s still better than ZOS originally planned but not as good as they implied with the extension before they scheduled maintenance to erase the last reset.

I'm not sure ZOS knew that far ahead when they promised 2 extra days to PC that they'd be cutting out one reset for NA. From what I've heard from Stream Team members and seen in game and in official communications, schedules feel like a constantly moving target. We knew they'd have to do maintenance on NA to get these accounts back; we were just waiting to hear when.

There have also been enough times that events, trader bids, and other pre-scheduled things have been interrupted by maintenance or other downtime in the past that I don't think it's the wisest idea to rely on the last few hours of an event, bid week, etc., being accessible. You never know what's going to happen, intended or otherwise.

Here's a small selection of issues with maintenance ending events early or severely cutting into the last "day" (which is a worse problem since reset times changed). Several of these threads also mention that this is not as rare a thing as one might hope.

      2018: https://forums.elderscrollsonline.com/en/discussion/408770/why-is-there-maintenance-in-an-hour

      2019: https://forums.elderscrollsonline.com/en/discussion/506409/why-do-you-insist-on-maintenance-on-the-last-day-of-an-event/p1

      July 2021: https://forums.elderscrollsonline.com/en/discussion/580162/maintenance-on-the-last-day-of-an-event/p1

September 2021 (this would have cut off the event completely, had it been on the new reset instead of the old one): https://forums.elderscrollsonline.com/en/discussion/585797/we-lost-6-hours-from-the-event-it-will-be-compensation-for-this-or-event-extending/p1

      February 2023: https://forums.elderscrollsonline.com/en/discussion/627042/maintenance-for-eu-on-last-day-of-the-event

And that's not getting into events where there have been substantial maintenance sessions done other than the last day. In a handful of cases, but certainly far from all, that has resulted in a small extension of the event.

Maintenance during trader swap is also something of a time-honored tradition, although nowadays we get a whole week to place 10 bids and ZOS specifically targeted a time for swap when many players would not be online anyhow:

      https://forums.elderscrollsonline.com/en/discussion/273416/can-we-please-have-maintenance-and-guild-trader-switchover-times-so-that-they-dont-overlap

      https://forums.elderscrollsonline.com/en/discussion/559107/either-change-guild-trader-bid-days-or-maintenance-days-to-be-somethingelse-than-tuesdays

      https://forums.elderscrollsonline.com/en/discussion/645011/maintenance-on-trader-flip-day

And it's worth mentioning that ZOS did say they'd look at not having maintenance on the last day of an event or on trader flip days, but clearly that hasn't always worked out.

I will point out that this extension was because of a 9 hour downtime for PCNA and those people are getting 44 extra hours of event as a result. It's not 48 but it's really close.
